Chapora Fort, located in Bardez, Goa, rises high above the Chapora River. The site is the location of a fort built by Adil Shahi dynasty ruler Adil Shah and called Shahpoora, whose name was altered to Shapora by Malvankar on the request of the Portuguese.

Absolutely worth the light trek to reach here. We went towards the end of monsoon when everything was green.

Nice fort located in north Goa, many movies are shoot here. After 10-15min of hiking we have a beautiful view of the beach. Most of the fort was destructed. But still some watch points are there. On the way to fort view point, shops of Juices, cucumber or snacks are available, but if you behave like outsider they will charge like anything. There is no entry fee here, only parking charges we have to pay. Overall good view is there on top with less hike. Best time for visit the fort is during sunrise/sunset.

Great place have little bit of climb but worth it. If you visit the place just before sunset you can take some good pictures.

This is the view from down the hill from view point. You can reach here via chapora fishing point via shiva temple. It's a bit harder to go after the shiva temple.

You have to climb approx 120 stairs along with a few metres of sloppy hill, but the view that you'll get would be the best.
