Start early is first suggestion. And reach this place at the earliest if you are planning to trek is the best suggestion I would say. There is a temple after taking the stairs. Then we can trek from there to the top of the hill. A bit lengthier trek so preferable to carry water bottles. The view is great at the top. Not advisable if it is raining. Spring is perfect time to trek. It's an awesome experience to have

This is nice temple but it's comes under government and they don't provide any kind of Parking here but they will loot tourist money around 50rupees, here u should park ur vehicle on road side, and govt make 5rupees fees for every small small temple but they didn't maintain cleaness. And here tourist throw bottles and dirty things here only. Please govt should take such Great place.

A place worth trekking. View from top is so good. Carry water and stuff because price get high once you climb up. Best time to climb is early climb as fog is high and visitors are low.

After getting down on Dabaspet village Bus stand on Tumkur road, local sharing auto's are available at minimum 20/- per person, to drop you down of the hill(6km) where paid Parking, washroom, light meals and puja kits are available.Incarnation on the stones is good to see at this place of lots of Monkeys, under cave (bells are tied to avoid echo) and top hill Lord Siva's with Nandi Temple. Also a Matt is there provides free meal services after entering in to Gopuram. One day trip very near to Bangalore.Starting early morning is good, to avoid sun draining you, though while climbing the hill track local sellers are installed and you can enjoy cooling agents (cold butter milk, cucumber, watermelon, mango, pineapple, Guava, corn etc)

It's very awesome experience to climb the hill. Even though it is so steep. Really like it.

The temple is well known for the view and prasadam. In Kannada they have a saying for the same as shivagange ye notta Chanda, shivagange ye utta Chanda. The diety is very powerful and is responsible for the nature and the beauty in and around the entire district.
