Great serene place to spend time. Amazing place nearing Chinese border. Whenever you are planning to visit Chitkul, make sure to add this place to your itinerary and your trip shall become unforgettable. Fresh, ice cold and crystal clear water. Best time to visit is August to October or March- April.

What do I say about this place...it’s one of the most beautiful destination in whole Kinnaur Valley. Yes, it is the last village on this route as there is a check post of ITBP 3 kms ahead from Chitkul. You will be mesmerised by the flow of Baspa River in front; surrounded by green mountains all around you. Of course it’s windy out there but that will add to your adrenaline rush.

Lovely place to spend evening in chitkul. A 10 minutes walk from chitkul staying options. There is an unused bridge, on other side of the bridge we happened to enjoy lot of snow. The river gives amazing views of snow-clad mountains and valleys. Water is very chilled as any other Himalayan river. Do spend your evening here when you're in chitkul.

One need to take the road going downwards toward Govt School Chitkul to get near to river baspa. It's an amazing place to camp on the banks of river baspa. Although the water wasn't as clear as what I saw in Tirthan Valley but it's an awesome place to pitch your tents. I visited it in April and got to see splendid views. It was all covered in snow during that time.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chitkul and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This charming little village nestled in the stunning Himalayan mountains is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and adventure. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the breathtaking beauty of the scenery - crystal-clear rivers, snow-capped peaks, and lush forests all around. The air was fresh and invigorating, and the locals were friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of things to do in Chitkul, whether you're a nature lover, a hiker, or just looking to relax and unwind. The village is surrounded by hiking trails of varying difficulty, so you can choose one that suits your fitness level and preferences. And if you're lucky, you might even spot some rare Himalayan wildlife along the way! I highly recommend visiting Chitkul if you're planning a trip to the Himalayas. The views alone are worth the journey, and the village itself is a gem that's well worth exploring. Just be sure to bring warm clothes - it can get chilly up in the mountains!
