Very strong and beautiful artwork can be seen, my experience here has been very good, I did not have to face any kind of problem here, I would like to tell everyone to go and visit here, this place is very clean, attention to cleanliness. It is well maintained, there is a statue of Ramakrishna Paramhansa ji here which is very amazing, it was built by Swami Vivekananda ji, I felt very happy going here.

Swamiji’s temple is a two-storeyed beautiful structure in Belurmath. This temple stands on d spot where Swamiji’s mortal remains were consigned to flames. It was chosen by Swamiji himself. His Life records : 3 days before his passing away, Swami was walking on d spacious lawn of monastery in afternoon with Swami Premananda, he pointed to a particular spot on d bank of d Ganga, & said “When I give up d body, cremate it there!” (He passed away on 4 July 1902). On that very spot stands today a temple in his honour. Frm there a peaceful view of d holy river Ganga.

Temple constructed on the place where Swami Vivekananda's mortal remains are cremated. Hence we can feel the devine presence. Loveky place. Entry is all free. But check the timings before going.

Belur Math, located on the west bank of the Hooghly River in Kolkata, India, is a significant pilgrimage site and the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. The complex is dedicated to the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda, two influential figures in Indian spirituality. The architectural brilliance of Belur Math is captivating, blending Hindu, Christian, and Islamic styles. The main temple, known as the "Swami Vivekananda Temple," is a stunning representation of unity in diversity. The serene environment and well-maintained gardens create a peaceful atmosphere for reflection and meditation. The Math provides a glimpse into the lives and philosophies of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda through its museums and galleries. The Ramakrishna Museum houses artifacts and exhibits related to the life of Sri Ramakrishna, while the Swami Vivekananda Museum showcases memorabilia and writings of the great philosopher. The daily rituals and prayers performed at Belur Math add to the spiritual ambiance. Visitors can witness the harmonious blend of devotional practices and learn about the principles of Vedanta and universal brotherhood. One of the highlights is the evening arati (prayer ceremony) on the banks of the Hooghly River, providing a mesmerizing experience. The ambiance during festivals and special occasions is vibrant, attracting devotees and tourists alike. Belur Math also runs educational and social service programs, contributing to community development. The charitable activities and humanitarian initiatives reflect the institution's commitment to social welfare. However, the experience might vary depending on personal beliefs and interests. Some visitors may find the atmosphere deeply enriching, while others may perceive it as too spiritual. The maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness is commendable, enhancing the overall visitor experience. In conclusion, Belur Math is not just a religious site but a symbol of cultural synthesis and spiritual harmony. Whether one seeks spiritual solace, cultural exploration, or architectural appreciation, Belur Math offers a unique and enriching experience.

👍👍 This is a awesome place. It has historical significance also. Ma Sarada came here and took bath into the pond near Rammandir. Then she had been worshipped Ram. The structure of Ram Sita is unique, attractive and beautiful. Lord Ram stay here for four months in every year. Another attraction of this...
