A very pleasant experience. Good for families and kids. Its a great feel to see all the Jets and Helicopters made in India and the progress we made in aviation. Unfortunately Simulators are closed so couldn't experience. A small cafeteria serving snacks and plenty of place under trees to eat and enjoy. We can cover it in 2 to 3 hours. If you are in hurry can be covered in an hour too. Must visit.

Very well maintained Museum of Indian Aircrafts. Museum is not very big and you can cover everything in almost 1hour. There is a separate fee for each smartphone so make sure you carry required phones only. There is a small cafeteria too inside the museum. Overall worth a visit once.

Overall museum is very good. We can see the real aircarfts. Many aircraft models are kept there. Good place for adults and kids. There is a play area for kids. One Audio visual room also present. All milestones of HAL have been displayed very nicely. Entry ticket for adults is 50 rupees and 20 rupees extra should be paid for taking your smartphone Inside the museum.

If you're obsessed with aeronautics and fighter jets, or engines, this is surely a heaven for you. With a minimal entry charge, you would really get an in-depth glimpse of the journey HAL has undertook right from its inception. It's really wonderful seeing and touching and feeling the progress HAL has taken up over all these years. The museum is very well maintained and also neatly designed. Surely give this a visit.

It's a pretty good museum to visit, whether you're a fan of planes or not. Surprisingly it was free the day I visited, so that was a nice surprise. Lots of aircraft on display, and some engines also displayed inside, along with a long gallery with important moments in HAL and Indian aerospace history. There is also a simulator(which has a separate ticket) but I sadly didn't have time to try it out.

Really nice place to visit to know about history of HAL and also see lots of planes. Flight Simulator for kids is also good. Better visit on Weekdays for less rush. They have big parking space in HAL school adjacent to the museum. One more thing they only take debit and credit card for tickets no UPI no cash. Cafeteria inside is also good try samosa there.

This place is really cool as it has real aircraft which were used back in time, for someone who's interested in the mechanism and working of aircraft they have information about engines and other mechanical parts in detail must visit for young minds. The only drawback I felt was the ticket experience, they charge for your phone camera which I feel is irrelevant and also the mode of payment may cause inconvenience to few. Canteen serves dosa and South Indian items, coffee tea for refreshment and the sitting area located backside is really peaceful with trees surrounding. Souvenir shop has nice gifting item you can check them out too. Couldn't try the simulation as it was under maintenance so can't comment. Overall the place is good to visit with kids and family.

This place is really great for aerospace enthusiastic! I really enjoyed myself. I went there on Tuesday afternoon so had all the place for myself as there was very few people. The motion experience was not available which was really disappointing. Otherwise really fun place to visit & learn. Canteen facilities are available.

Nice place to know about aircraft and the history of HAL. The museum is well maintained and clean. We can see real aircraft and many models, too. History of HAL has been displayed very well. This place will be interesting only for those who have an interest in aerospace.. For others, it may not be interesting as it has only a display of aircraft. Stimulator games were out of service, and I think it's most of the time. There is no UPI payment accepted here. The entry fee is Rs 50 for adults and Rs 30 for kids. They even charge for mobile phones rs 20, and it's really inappropriate.

Nice place for HAL history . Though not much of attraction, you can finish in 1 or 2 hours maximum. Free car parking outside. But limited and no shades so get very hot. Tickets can be purchased at counter with card or cash. Wheelchair accessible. Good for kids or senior citizens. Simulators available for kids less than 15 i guess. Toilets are there, clean enough.

Nice and neatly maintained. No entrance fee. Different aircraft and fighting jets displayed which are of old model but maintained well. The garden setup was great. Adults and Children can enjoy this place. Parking may be difficult but waiting for some time may get you a spot.

This destination is perfect for family outings or with friends, especially if you have a penchant for aerospace. Exploring here will undoubtedly uplift your spirits. The premises close by 5 pm and offer an array of aircraft displays, alongside a canteen and a quaint souvenir shop. While my overall experience was pleasant, the visit itself was delightful and worth the trip.

The place is good to visit with family and friends. If you are a person who has love for aerospace, this place visit will surely lighten up your mood. The premises are closed at 5pm and there are plenty of aircrafts to showcase along with a canteen and a small sovereign shop. Although my experience was nice but I didn't liked the ticketing system there. Charging per head is fine but they charged extra 20 for each mobile phone. Rest the experience was delightful.

Loved the museum. Got to know about the journey and history of aeronautical enhancement through the years till date after independence. Worth to visit one time. An awesome place to visit for the people who love aeronautics. For small kids’ and childrens’ amusement, there is a fish pond with colourful fishes. After an hour or two of enjoyable experience, visitors can purchase aircraft models and other items from the Souvenir Shop and relax in the Cafeteria. An open space natural Dining Hall under the trees is a main attraction for groups.

Visited on 27 March 2022. Excellent museum with historical information of aviation since 1940s. Old planes, photos etc were very well preserved and documented. Outdoor section has many planes and helicopters, herbal garden. Souvenir shop and restaurant are present inside. Indoor section houses the rich history and documents. With extra ticket you can go for flight simulation experience. ₹50 for entry, ₹20 for mobile canara & ₹50/100 for flight simulation are charged in the museum. It's a delight for school kids.

People who love to know about history should visit this place... More importantly do take a guide inside who will help in proper understanding of chronology of events and connect all dots.. Without guide, it's just a general look at antiques but with a guide we get to know whole background behind that antique... I would highly recommend this place along with children but with a guide inside.

Motion Simulator often under maintenance which cost ₹ 100. You also get souvenirs of Fighter Jets ₹380 onwards. Day Spending time with kids is Good. I recommend. It was a great experience after visiting HAL.it just a world of Aerospace. You could find different varieties of aeroplane,it's engine and also pilot less aircraft. I can suggest it's a place where both children and parents can enjoy. There is simulator game which cost ticket of 50 for children and 100 for adults.apart from this for visiting we wanted to take the ticket of charge 50 in the entry and additional cost for Camera, video camera and phone camera.

The HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum is situated on the old Airport Road. Almost  2.5km from Marathahalli junction. A really good and pleasant place where you can spend your one-day evening. The place is beautiful and well maintained. It is good for families and especially kids; if they are fond of aeroplanes or jets, it is definitely a must-visit place. They have various historic fighter planes and helicopters on display, displaying the progress we have made in Indian aviation history. There is an entrance fee and an extra charge for your phone, even if you are switching it off. Bikes can be parked near the entrance.

It's a pretty good museum, they have provided an extensive history of HAL with photographs. They've got very good exhibits and detailed descriptions of the aircrafts and aerospace related tools. Although, I wish they made it an interactive museum, where you get to go into a mock cockpit, have a view of a real control panel. Overall, it's a worthwhile experience.

Good place to visit to know about the history of HAL. Entry: Parking is free for cars and bikes. Rs.50 per person and Rs.20 per smartphone. Any camera will be charged more. They only accept Card payment. (NO CASH, NO UPI) Visit: you can spend about 2-3 hours looking at exhibits and learning about the history of HAL. Spread across a large place you will be seeing live planes on display. The place is pretty decently maintained. Pros: 1. Real planes on display 2. Learning history 3. Good way to spend half a day 4. The canteen had decent food choices for snacking Cons: 1. Flight simulator was on repair so was unable to experience that 2. The souvenir shop felt a bit expensive

Good variety of models. Informative. Small cafeteria with snacks. Small playground with play things like swing, slides and so on for kids to play. Small pond with beautiful fish. Opposite to this museum, there is a jet training ground where Jets and helicopters fly in the late afternoon. Great place to visit to see the old fighter jets and helicopter used from 50's to 80's. Also the flight stimulator is good the simulator cost 100 rs for 12 mins.

50 rupees for adult + 20 for mobile camera, some money for other cameras. In my opinion, it is worth the money.( for people like museums and engineering curiosity ) Old aircrafts are displayed with name , capabilities, year of first flight and all. A brief video of HAL and it's product portfolio will be displayed in projector I a timely manner Also there is a virtual simulator, which I didn't find very amusing 😐. There is display of Hidustan Aeronautical Ltd's journey through years. Also play park for kid are available. Conclusion : place to go with family, school or college picnic. NB : card or hard cash is needed to take take ticket in the entrance as well as simulator counter. UPI apps are not gonna be accepted as on September 2021.

A paradise for aircraft lovers! Has many phased out aircrafts for display. There is also a small herbal garden and sustainable development park. There is an indoor museum too, with simulators. I enjoyed the visit, but missed seeing newer aircrafts of the Indian Air force, almost all of them were very old ones. There is also a souvenir shop and canteen.

It's a well maintained museum with all the historic events recorded. It is heaven for people who like aircraft and their technicalities. There are many plane models with their specifications mentioned. There are small cafes which serve samosas, tea, chocolates, chips, drinks and many more. Washrooms are well maintained. They also have a souvenir shop. There is a simulator and some shows for entertainment. Overall, a nice experience and students have to pay lesser fees if they have their school ID cards.

HAL Aerospace Museum is one of the major public attractions of Bangalore. Inaugurated in 2001 at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited premises, the museum was established with an objective of educating the public about everything the journey of HAL, one of Asia's largest and most important aeronautical companies, had to offer - be it historical, scientific or academic. On the one hand, the museum proudly boasts of the giant leaps Indian aviation has taken, both commercially as well as in terms of defence; and on the other side, it gives the visitors an all-inclusive aerospace experience in the most effective environment possible. No other place matches this in terms of being equally demonstrative in theory and practice, both. The museum makes sure that the visitors get the best possible insight into the aeronautical history of HAL and of India - its experiments, achievements and possibilities; and at the same time, they also get to have a glimpse of some of the most powerful possessions of the Indian Air Force. Such an exhibit is an enchanting experience not only for the aviation enthusiasts but also for the layman. At present, the HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum together form the most massive aeronautical complex of South Asia in terms of production, maintenance, development and exhibition of fighter and commercial aircrafts, helicopters and all their engineering parts and accessories.

Museum is amazing which gives an amazing and proud insight of what HAL was and makes everyone get Goosebumps upon seeing the achievements, we had and how proud we were in front of the whole world. but rest of it, its such a horrible experience starting from reception staff at the ticket counter as he was not at all friendly or welcoming. Adding to that, during the visit at the museum, happened to go to the cafeteria, which welcomed with a board of all luxurious, Latte, mocha, cafe, hot chocolate, tea etc.. but that was existent only in the boards and they dint even had a bottle of water, but just some samosas. Apparently, if you bring in some food or drinkables from outside, you will be alright. Absolutely gutted that such an iconic achievements and establishment is getting rotten out now, with the current poor management.

I visited this place with family on a Sunday afternoon. Separated entry ticket is there for child, adult, phone and camera. It is a whole educational tour where details of year wise development of each plane is also mentioned. Fun zone for kids is also there. People had brought food and water also for mini picnic. Place has a souvenir shop for people to get back memories. A small cafetaria for satiating hunger of people is also found in the campus. Different simulators for 6-12 years and above 12 are present in Hall 2. The sad thing was we couldn't have experience of Motion Simulator as it was under maintainence.

After the Nawab died in 1949, the collections were left behind in his ancestral palace Diwan Devdi. The collection was formerly exhibited there as a private museum, named Salar Jung Museum, which was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 16 December 1951.[3][4] Old timers believe that the present collection constitutes only half of the original art wealth collected by the Nawab. His employees siphoned off part of it, since the Nawab depended upon his staff to keep a vigil. In 1968, the museum shifted to its present location at Dar-ul-Shifa, and is administered by a Board of Trustees with the Governor of Telangana as ex officio chairperson under the Salar Jung Museum Act of 1961. Some more art pieces were lost or stolen during the shifting of the museum from Diwan Devdi to the present site.[5]

The heritage centre section has good amount of photos depicting the military aviation history of India. The museum can be improved with audio-visual shows, interactive contents etc. Also, the authorities charge 20/- extra (as of Dec 2022) for each person’s mobile phone even though it’s kept switched off. Parking can be done at the nearby HAL convention centre area.

Must visit... specially for children... If you're interested in aeronautics and fighter jets, or engines, this is surely a heaven for you. With a minimal entry charge, you would really get an in-depth glimpse of the journey HAL has undertook right from its inception. The museum is very well maintained and also neatly designed.

You will get more knowledge of you visit to this Museum. The entry fee is ₹50 with ₹20 for Mobile(Camera purpose) Very calm and peaceful area. You will find All kinds of Aeroplanes,Jet, Radar and Engines along with description of their capacities. It's having medicinal plants, Sunflower and Rose gardens in between the planes. In middle of museum, there is a small play ground for children. Usually Students and Family will visit here. It's also have Basic(for kids) and Motion Simulators (Adults) it won't give u a feel of sitting in actual Cockpit. It's just like playing a Virtual Reality games. It could be more effective for charge of ₹100. Audio visual is free to watch, they will just project a video of HAL. Hall of fame is very nice. There is small Sovereign shop and Cafeteria for snacks and juice. You can spend whole day with peaceful mind and leave by gaining more information about HAL

During our visit to Bangalore for treatment, we decided to visit the Aerospace Heritage . It was a great misfortune for us that owing to the outbreak of pandemic covid-19, the Museum remained closed since March2020. As a result we could see nothing and came back to our hotel rooms disappointed. We wish to visit the place once again if you can afford to visit Bangalore in any time of the year. We rang the number given in their sites, but nobody responded. So we couldn't understand that it was closed. Great misfortune !!!!

Yes, i love visiting museums and it’s in my to-do list whenever i visit different cities. HAL museum is a good museum for all those aeronautical fans but one thing which i faced issue was reaching the museum, it showed me route from inside the colonies and somehow i asked people and reached the museum. Bought some sovereign from the shop and saw various aircrafts but most of them are not in their original condition which makes them look fake, that took some charm away. Anyways good place to be if you have time and you got nothing to do.

    1. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum, Bangalore, the first of its kind in India established in 2001, is situated at the intersection of HAL Old Airport Road & Basavanagar Road. It is about 17 Kms from the Bengaluru City Railway Station. The Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum is sprawled over 4 acres of lush green land. 2. There are two major halls, one displaying the photographs that chart the growth of aviation in each decade from 1940 till date and a Hall of Fame that takes the visitors on an exciting journey through the Heritage of Aerospace & Aviation Industry in India. 3. The second Hall highlights the various functions of an Aero Engine by displaying motorized cross sections of various models of Aero Engines. Real Engines such as Garret (for Dornier Aircraft), Adour (for Jaguar Aircraft) and Orpheus (for Kiran Aircraft) can be seen here along with Ejection Seat with Parachute; and Pushpak & Basant Aircraft. 4. Outdoor display of Aircraft such as MARUT, MIG-21, HT-2, KIRAN, CANBERRA, AJEET, LAKSHYA (Pilotless Target Aircraft) & many more, will excite aerospace lovers of all ages - kids, students and adults. 5. A Unique exhibit is the ATC Radar parched with L Band surveillance Radar having a range of 200 nautical miles which rotates at speed of 3-4 RPM, with the frequency of 1250-1350 MHZ and Meteorological Radar. In addition, PSLV model & PSLV Heat shield are displayed to give a glimpse of forays made by the country in space technology. 6. For the academically inclined, a Library on Aerospace provides opportunity to trace the exciting development of the industry since the 1940s. While the Museums’ prized possessions include various types of Aircraft models on static display, the availability of Audio-Video facility and display of translides enhances the experience immeasurably. Taking ones experience a notch above are the true-motion simulators that puts oneself in the pilot’s seat, offering a thrilling ride. It is where visitors of all ages can explore and imagine what it would be like to soar through the skies and have realistic feel of flying fighter jets & commerical aircraft. 7. The Museum has an excellently landscaped exterior with an exclusive Rose Garden, Orchidarium and Herbal Garden with a number of exotic varieties. A children’s play area provides kids endless hours of fun. A sustainability park displays working models of solar power systems, biogas plant and hybrid windmills to educate visitors and students on alternate energy sources which help conserve natural resources and preserve the environment. 8. 9. The Museum is open to public from 9 AM to 5 PM on all days throughout the year. A must visit place for aviation enthusiasts and students. One would certainly appreciate the significance of HAL in building India's aerospace manufacturing capabilities after visiting the place. They have decommissioned planes and helicopters displayed around the campus. The place is well maintained and has a canteen and souvenir shop. They also have a small kids play area. Covering the museum shouldn't take more than an hour. The hall of fame has some very interesting photos of eminent personalities who ha visited HAL. You get ample free parking adjacent to the museum. The charges are nominal but they do charge INR 20 per mobile phone if you want to carry them inside. Overall perfect for a short weekend outing.

A good place to make a visit for children’s only. The planes and helicopters showcased are just a skeletons of the original also not so well detailed and not well maintained at all. Many planes interiors were camouflaged with spider webs, dust and dirt. Not all the planes and helicopters are there. At least any one original working plane or Helicopters model would have been so great to enjoy the place. You can find much of the information about the HAL and its history in written and pictorial forms. also you can buy some souvenirs of HAL which I thought are bit costly for the quality. There’s a nominal ticket to enter inside and also if you have mobiles phones with you then they charge for that as well. Roughly 2hrs is enough to explore this museum.

HAL Heritage Centre is one of the top visitors attraction in Bengaluru. Though people of every age group would like this place, it's a place much liked by children especially. Special attraction of this place are: 1. Real size structures of old aircraft those served in Indian Air Force. This shows the development in aircraft over the years from small size aircraft to big size aircraft. As all these are fighter aircraft children find them exciting. 2. Fish pond is a special attraction of this place especially for children. There are variety of fish in this pond. Children can go close to fish to see them and enjoy. 3. In the central building, facility of simulator ride is available which gives a feel of flying a plane to the rider. 4. Greenery and open parks of this place are also liked by visitors. 5. There is a seperate section where the historic development of HAL since 1940 is displayed through photographs and models of aircraft. Visitors like this place as it displays the growth of aircraft manufacturing in India. Best time to visit is morning and evening hours. Afternoon can be avoided as it remains sunny. Small refreshments and souvenir shop is also available here.

Up up and away! HAL aerospace museum is located on old airport road and easy to locate via Google maps. There are plenty of convenient public transport survices available. There is a concession on the entry fee for students upon displaying student ID cards. Many old aircrafts and helicopters of the Indian airforce and Indian navy which are no more in use are displayed here along with its description, which is both amazing and informative. These models are spread across a beautiful garden with a children's play area and a few benches. There are some indoor displays too and a souvenir shop. There is a 4D virtual reality game center for children. A museum which is well decorated with proud old and new photographs hanging on the walls, display cards with historical and technological information about HAL, it's achievements and it's manufactures and a few aircraft models is a final touch to this spectacular land of metal birds. One can also enjoy the view of various helicopters taking off from or landing in the HAL airbase, every now and then, as it is close to this museum. There is neither a canteen nor a food stall but, visitors can carry food and water. This is ideal for a educational and relaxing outing. It is a sweet treat for children and aeronautics enthusiasts.

The first place I visited after moving to Bangalore for full time. Being a city that has most central government institutions like ISRO,BEL,DRDO HAL . This place shows the history and reality of science and it's development in the field of defence. I see lots of young kids are brought here for field trips and that is a very good sign of growing next generation. A place that is must visit in banglore

The building and facilities are poorly taken care of - give an old time sarkari (governmental) feel (many of today's government facilities look more well kept than this one). Lighting for the displays is particularly bad. Also this attracts big crowd. Nevertheless, it has some priceless and unique collection as some of the photos show. Worth visiting one.

So many artifacts of Mughal and other historic lines can be found in the museum. The ticking clock and many great sculptures are also present here. Well maintained and good food served in the cafeteria. Expect the management to keep up with the pace and go online or any e commerce vending for selling their photographs or any other articles present in the stalls for sale.

Salar Jung Museum, it's located in Hyderabad. It's a very big museum. It's has lots of items used by the kings of Salar Jung I, II, III and so on. It is one of the most popular and must visit place in Hyderabad. It has a Clock which is Few centuries old and it's still working. Every hour the bell rings in the clock, at that time from the clock a small man came out from a room and rang the bell. This toy functionality is amazing. For watching this alone a big crowd assembles near the clock. Chairs and two big screens also placed there for viewing this incident. This palace has kings used Furnitures, Weapons, carved on ivory items, Statues. One amazing statue is from one side it shows a man and in the back side it's shows a women. Don't miss to see this. The museum opens in the morning at 10am and will be available till 5pm in the evening. Friday is Holiday.

It is a museum where we feel awe and proud of the contributions HAL has given us to the security of the nation. Situated just opposite to the HAL airport, it houses a lot of vintage airplanes, fighter jets, helicopters. The museum also has a series of timeline photos from the time of the formation to its present. The only drawback that I feel is that the entry fee is quite high especially when you wish to take photos of the place. But Overall it is a nice experience .

If you love fighter jets, choppers and are interested to know the history behind them this is the place to be. Here not only you can get a look but can also experience with the simulators how things are first hand. It will take about a day for you to be and have a look around. Don't worry they have you covered with a canteen. Only sad part was the cost of entry at ₹70 for an adult male which is too much.

  • 4/5 Shashank H S. 4 years ago on Google
This place is a must visit with kids or people who are avation history buffs. However, the models displayed outside could have been maintained better. But one gets to see the actual planes obviously stripped off all important parts except the outer shell. The souvenir shop sells some articles not related to HAL/Defence. There is a decent canteen available. Overall, a good experience

Great museum for day visit. You'll get to know about the history of HAL. They have almost all life size fighter plans. The plans models are worth the visit. Half of the museum is occupied by old photographs. You get to see a lot of old air force plans and helicopter. It is well maintained. It is a nice place for both kids and adults. Ticket price for adult is 50, for mobile camera they charges 20 more. Stimulated driving experience available. Entire HAL journey from beginning to till now shown by pictures and small models. Small models crafts are also sold here.

The place is full of details about HAL and India's aviation history with moments captured and placed in halls. It will amazing day for kids also as place is full of greenery and open area. They have 4 audio shows daily starting at 10 and every 2 hours from there onwards. Prototypes of most of the planes and helicopter are kept and looks awesome. You also get to see the jet engines, yes the real ones. Enough space to sit and relax in open. Avoid taking mobile phones if possible. You will be charged 20 Rs per mobile. Better to carry only one and have good time looking at the history.

  • 3/5 Anshuman P. 3 years ago on Google
The places houses the prototypes of many helicopters , aircrafts and engines assembled or built by HAL over the years. There are also 2 indoor Halls , one with aircrafts and engines and another with historical photographs and miniature models of aircrafts. The museum has a beautiful lawn , although you are not permitted to walk on it. It also has a simulator. One can generally pay a 2 hr long visit here.

There are two major halls, one displaying the photographs that chart the growth of aviation in each decade from 1940 till date and a Hall of Fame that takes the visitors on an exciting journey through the Heritage of Aerospace & Aviation Industry in India. Outdoor display of Aircraft such as MARUT, MIG-21, HT-2, KIRAN, CANBERRA, AJEET, LAKSHYA (Pilotless Target Aircraft) & many more, will excite aerospace lovers of all ages - kids, students and adults.

If you are going with family & frnds of 15members then we have to pay 50+20 which is very disgusting. Even a child is having mobile they charge even non Android phones as well. They force to buy the mobile tickets if person is having two mobile then you have to 50+20+20 i.e. Rs. 90.

Had been to HAL heritage centre and aerospace museum. It's a Saturday today. I reached around 1 pm. For adults, the fare is 50 rs each and if you are taking your phone for clicking pics you are charged extra 20. Museum is very neatly kept. You will have samples of all our defense planes for exhibition from LCA, Mig 21, etc. There's a small cafeteria and a small shop in case you want to buy mini models of the planes. There's history about HAL displayed in a separate building and hall of fame. The AV room is let open at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm basically at a gap of 1 hour. Cool stuff here. Always if you are somewhere related to defensemen, you'll be elated excited and proud.

Good display of HAL products with description. Photogallery is worth a look. Herbal garden was a pleasant sight. Wheel chair access can be made for the entire complex. Timings can be extended upto 5PM. Souvinier shop can be well stocked . Items can be made with more attractive features. For eg. Fighter cockpit models could be made transparent to give a real feel of an aircraft. Canteen was average. Security was tight without being obstrusive. One entrance from parking side will be helpful. A must see in Bangalore.

This is a nice place to visit. The museum is operating from 10 am till 4.30 pm. It will take around 45 minutes to visit around. Few facilities like audio visual session and simulators are not working. The museum has 14 aircraft, 1 ATC, two helicopters on display. There is hall which displays the growth of HAL by each decade through images and models. Due credit is given to the founder Walchand Hirachand ji. Images of all Chairman are also on display. While the museum is nice, it is pretty much evident that though HAL is a very old company it has not a good number of products which it can say it has produced.

A world of metal birds Up up and away! Many old aircrafts and helicopters of the Indian airforce and Indian navy which are no more in use are displayed here along with descriptions, which is both amazing and informative and these models are spread across a beautiful garden with a children's play area and a few benches. There is a souvenir shop and some indoor displays too. There is a 4D virtual reality game center for children. A museum which is decorated with proud old and new photographs and display cards with historical and technological information about HAL, it's achievements and it's manufactures and a few aircraft models is a final touch to this spectacular land of metal birds. This is ideal for a educational and relaxing outing and pretty much a sweet treat for children and aeronautic enthusiasts.

This place in itself is a wonderful place.. but for me it was extra beautiful because I was with a friend who knew a lot about jets and planes and and.. his grandfather was a pilot and here comes the best part!! There's a picture of his grandfather there, in the hall of fame and it is just so blissful to stand there and listen to him speak about that. It is just amazing! Find a guy who knows a little stuff and go with him/her! It makes the experience that much better. 😌💐

A perfect vintage vibe, some vintage as well as a model of mig-21, there is an entire area dedicated to the time line of how HAL came into existence. Along with that they have models of engines and other aircraft. You can also go for flight simulation which is dirt cheap compared to what is offered in malls...

Surprisingly interesting. ! A lot of.outdated, or rather antique planes have been kept for display. Place and garden are well maintained. Washrooms, water supply, all in good.working condition. There is also a photo exhibition which traces development of aeroplane. Really good. It's o a prime location in Bangalore, Old Airport Road, with lots of buses plying on this road. Parking is a minus. You have to park on road, with limited slots available.

Lots of old aircrafts, helicopters, misile, miniatures, real aircraft engines and aeronautics machines, radar, etc are present in this museum. This museum also contains a small cafeteria for visiters, restroom/toilets and a small shop. It's very crowded in weekends so better visit this museum on weekdays if you can. A variety of trees and plants is surrounding the building which creates a great ambiance. At last a must visit to learn about aerospace history and enjoyable experience with friends and family.

Great place for kids specially if they are interested in knowing about aircraft’s. Even though the aircraft showcased are quite old it’s nice experience the actual size of them. The museum is well maintained and you could easily spend a couple of hours. Tip: The four wheeler parking available near the museum has limited spots so you can park inside the road that leads towards Vignanagar and walk down

Good place for a one time visit. If you are interested in aviation history you will like it. Lots of information can be found on Indian(Bangalore) aviation since the beginning of it. The condition of the aeroplanes displayed there was in bad shape should have been maintained properly and there is a souvenir shop but it has really cheap products I was expecting some good quality products which I could buy. Also the canteen Doesn't have good food options.

This place is located near Old Airport road. It’s good for families and kids. So amazed to see Made in India planes and helicopters. This place is heaven for the one who is much more interested in aviation. Here one will get in-depth glimpse of journey of HAL right from where it’s inaugurated. There’s a small cafeteria inside museum where you can have your snacks and tea. Setting area is quite interesting. Benches are aligned beneath trees. Overall very good experience.

We visited the museum on 2nd October a public holiday, it was not very crowded and we were easily able to get tickets and enter the premises. It was really a good experience especially learning the history of HAL was awesome. We also went to the canteen, there were not too many options but it was enough to feed a hungry tummy -:) I think the place can be maintained a little better but again it depends on how citizens like us keep it neat and clean. I think this is a must visit place if you are in Bangalore . Just a bit of additional information, the parking outside the premises is just 10-12 cars but if you drive down 100 meters more towards Marathahalli you will find a gate on the left hand side it is also HAL building here you will find ample parking, there will be a guard but no questions asked and no parking charges. So enjoy namma Bengaluru

Nice place for aeronautical enthusiasts. Didn't amaze us though. We were advised by few locals that there was no charges until a week back and started very recently. There is no UPI payment accepted anywhere starting from the ticket counter, cafe and the souvenir shop. Please carry cash or your debit/credit card.

    1. Ticket Price = Rs. 50. Mobile phone Camera charge = Rs. 70. They accept either card or cash. No UPI. 2. Here you can see many fighter planes (old ones) and fee helicopter in 1:1 ratio. You will not be able to see what's inside. These planes are kept outside and 2 planes are kept inside a big room. 3. You can also see different types of engines used in these planes. This is inside the room 4. You'll get to know the history of HAL. There are many posters to explain about planes. 5. Street parking is available. 6. You can find snacks center and toilet inside museum.

One of the lovely places to visit during the weekend. I was planning for a long time to take my daughter to show her the aerospace museum but finally was able to. I would highly recommend this place if you haven't visited yet.

Heritage aerospace museum maintained by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd near old airport Bangalore hosts a large number of vintage aircrafts used by Indian military forces. One needs a guide to get the information explained in a better manner. Combat aircrafts, helicopters, radars etc are displayed. The site is maintained well.
