Nice place to hang out for a evening or two with friends or family. Booking the aptdc tents would be better idea as camping grounds in weekends are very much occupied and noisy. Fort trek is nice and need to step off few stones to find better view points.

The place is so beautiful. Lot of stray dogs present. They will roam around the tent at night. The tent stay was not quite good. Could cause suffocation. Better to stay awake at night. And people come here for celebrating. So you won't get a good sleep. You can hear loud voices crackers. Yeah get up @ 5:45 to view the sunrise. Definitely the view was amazing.

Nice place to explore nature and historical monuments. If have 3 days time you explore everything here (includes places to visit on the way depends on your planning). Night fire camp, trekking, zip line, river rafting are some of the other attractions.

Awesome place to stay outside in tents. It is a natural beauty. The beauty of this place can't be explained, it should be experienced. The campsite is awesome where we are on top of rocks and river is flowing on the side. The view at sunrise is extremely beautiful. Here kayaking is also available in the river if one wants to go.

Must go place. But try to avoid over weekends. Go on weekdays, stay in tents over near aptdc camping site, you can enjoy the views during sunset and sunrise. Trek down for boating and kayaking. Must experience kayaking here. You have pay and use toilets for those who stay in tents.

Must must visit this place. A grand canyon as mesmerizing as what you would have seen in Macennas gold or alike English movies. The place is a very very small village which doesnt have any good hotels for stay and food. They are coming up. But you would find basic things. About 150-200 tents come up during weekends. They don't have washroom facilities. A couple of pay and use toilet complexes have come up. I personally feel it's not a great idea to walk up or drive about 500-600 meters for your nature calls, especially with family. There's a zip line too for Rs 600/- per person(Jan 2023). There is also boat ride at Rs 500/- per person. It would be beautiful ride inside a canyon. But you need to trek down quite a bit. We didn't explore it. Also there is a fort. Don't miss this, it gives a different perspective of the canyon. You may also consider Bellum caves. These are naturally formed caves millions of years back. They are amazing to day the least. Do expect only minimal facilities

A very low key, unexplored. Go before it becomes a tourist spot. The canyons r breathtaking and it is a stunning view. Must visit. The rooms available just about meet our needs and don't expect a lny luxury beyond bed, AC and a decent bathroom. and restaurants around r not so up-scale. They r all road side small scale, the maximum luxury here is a chair with a back rest as against a plastic stool.

Great location with great views, but very poor infrastructure. Had been to this place on 1st Nov. Reached around noon. Was disappointed to see the so called “accommodation”. It is just a basic room and very poorly maintained toilets. Changed and had good food. Had a great time in the water falls. Evening v managed to go to the fort. Most of it was closed, no proper parking spaces . People were too lazy to walk so they drove as much as possible into the fort creating lot of discomfort for others. No restrooms anywhere near the fort. I guess we cannot complain as the entry is free. Had great view of the sunset. Overnight stay in the tent was a real nightmare. Don’t opt for the tent stay. Just horrible. People drink till late night and keep screaming playing loud music well beyond midnight. Tents r poorly designed. If u close it, it is very warm inside and if u keep it opened u will have to deal with mosquitoes. Hardly slept whole night. Language is a huge problem if u don’t speak Telugu. 2 stars r for the breathtaking views and zero for infrastructure and customer service.

GANDIKOTA, One of the most fav place in India with Historical footprints. If you are visiting for the first time you will be fascinated by the landscape and architectures. The land once was ruled by Hindus and Mughals where they left with wonderful monuments. Gandikota is now changing and there are dozens of rooms and resorts being constructed which will be over with in a year. And I believe in next two years it will be dominated by tourist. But the biggest problem here is tourist who pollutes the entire spot into garbage. I don't know when we are going to learn, wherever we go we find lot of plastic and alcohol bottles. OUR ANCESTORS LEFT WITH WONDERFUL ARCHITECTURES and FOOTPRINTS but we leaving by POLLUTING THE PLACES. STOP POLLUTING GANDIKOTA.

Excellent place for overnight camp stay. The host was very hospitable and courteous. He cared to every request we had and provided a very nice experience. The highlight was the food. No fancy but simple tasty food. Breakfast also was great. Overall definitely a place worth visiting again.

Ofcourse it is a good place for tourists, but for the negligence of the government it is not developing as expected. Needs lot of improvement with tourist guides and roads inside the fort where tourist can reach the view point etc., easily.

The place is a visual treat. Boating is also good. But that place needs to be developed. Full of cans, beer bottles etc. Rooms are not safe for ladies. Rats are crawling in rooms.. I hope there will be a development in the future. Nature is so beautiful..

Visited gandikota canyon and did overnight camping. The view and experience was good but it was not environment friendly as each and every tent had their own bonfire which caused too much smoke by late night the entire sky is filled with smoke. The tents were good but they provided only single sleeping bag per tent which was not enough. The biggest problem while camping was the washrooms where far away from your tents. Almost 1.5km walk everytime you want to take a leak.

The place has amazing opportunities for tourism but it appears no one is interested in developing it. Such a wonderful place is littered with plastic waste and broken beer bottles and there is no tourist information centre to guide the visitors because the locals do not speak English or Hindi. Cable cars over the gorge, Kayaking, adventure trekking over the stony hillside etc will attract more tourists. There is only one govt owned resort but it is not maintained properly. The Penna river, the canyon, sunset, sunrise, temples etc are gorgeous and unbelievably beautiful.

Gandikota is a village and historical fort on the right bank of the Penna river, 15 km from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The fort was the centre of power for various dynasties, such as the Kalyani Chalukyas, Pemmasani Nayakas, and the Golconda Sultanate.

While the location, ambience, experience are great this location as a tourist spot have to improve a lot. The tourist vendors here charge a lot for pre booking and much less for on the spot bookings. People have go for 2 kms urinals, washrooms etc.
