Suommoi is one of the classic Chinese, rather Indo Chinese fusion, food restaurant that sprang up during the first culinary revolution ( as I like to call it) of Pune before the millenials screw ed up Gastronomy for us. I like their sweet garlic sauce fish and prawns both. Even the hot garlic sauce fish is delicious too. They use white snapper for their fish based dishes which I appreciate. All the other restaurants use mekong Basa which I detest. Their thai rice - both Sapphad and phad thai and the rice with pineapples all are equally good. American Chopsuey is also worth trying if you like the old school by the book cuisine! Soups are delicious too especially the Tom kha; very thick.

Having experienced authentic Thai food, this one needs to meet expectation,though it is better than most. The ambience is acceptable and standard which is good since there was nothing too fancy. The wanting were the ingredients that are expected in a Thai curry or soup.

Manchow soup was very hot chilly. Spice level should be confirmed by waiters before taking the order if by default you serve spices on higher side. Noodles dint taste well. The suggested starter by waiter was cup of gold and it had fish oil taste though we had clearly called out vegetarian. Panner chilly wasn't great. It seemed they reheated precooked paneer chilly and it was stale. Fried rice and Manchurian were excellent.

One of those old Chinese eating places in Pune that still stands. The food is good and the ambience is good but I was put off by the curt reply when we asked for water. "Only bottled water (mineral water?) , no other water" I mean when you force something on a customer then it doesn't speak well of the place.

Sounmoi is located in one of the bylanes of Sassoon -Bund Gard Road. The road is strikingly quiet as compared to the busy main road. We had made a reservation before reaching as it was a weekend and had also ordered meals for the kids at the time of reserving a table. We had ordered Singapore Noodles for Kids, Tom Kha Soup, Phad See-Ew Jae Noodle and Kai Phad Bai Gra Prow. We had ordered Veg Singapore noodle and they hd served Chicken Singapore Noodles. Hence reducing one star in the rating. All the items were very good in taste and very flavorful and we liked the cocunut based soup Tom Kha, which was the star dish for us.

Hidden in the quiet lanes of boat club road, this place is a wonder. Suonmoi is lovely and one of the oldest Chinese and Oriental resturant in Pune. I happened to visit here recently after so many years and still the place looks the same as it was. The food has been always great and their culture of service intact. Suonmoi serves a wide range of oriental delicacies made of fish, chicken, beef, veggies and meat. Their soups and wontons are awesome along with the other starters. They will serve you the food as per your taste and liking thats what i have liked the most about Suonmoi. Uncle Syed has always been an awesome host, warm and welcoming as ever. Its a must visit place for Chinese food if you are looking for options around DP road, boat club road and around the Bund Garden area!

Very silent and peaceful ambiance. Good place for Chinese lovers. Very clean and maintained. I loved the Lemon coriander chicken soup. Mayo lovers should try Chicken crunchy with mayo in starters. Quantity of triple rice was good. It was enough for 3 people. The only thing I didn't like is the schezwan sauce served. It was too tangy and not at all spicy. It tasted like tomato chutney. Rates are average, not too expensive nor too cheap. 600rs for two people. Overall, it's a good Chinese restaurant.

We really enjoyed the food and service But will suggest it could be much better as it is proper Chinese cuisine so we expect more better quality

This place was a wonderful surprise for me. I was invited for a birthday party here. The food out here is just amazing. The tofu actually stood out for me. It was just melt in the mouth. The chicken sweet corn soup, fried noodles, fried rice were just wow. This place is truly a hidden gem worth a visit.

Dear Mrs. Hassan, Your son Hassan, is a very good friend of mine, and when I said that I had comments about the restaurant, he immediately said, "John, it's my mother's restaurant, please tell her". So. I haven't eaten here in a while (my bad, low on cash) but when I did eat there, the food was FABULOUS. 😋 However, perhaps because I am half Chinese, I love a chilled Tsing Tao beer or two or a glass or three of Chinese plum wine to accompany such great food, particularly the fresh and incredible seafood chow mein........but your restaurant does not serve these. May I please suggest that you add these to make our experience complete at your restaurant? Thank you! Please say hello to Hassan and tell him to be careful with airport security. Nice cozy place. Reasonable price. Ample parking roadside. Restaurant has a very loyal customer base. Decor feels good. Food is good. We ordered Thai Chicken soup. It was creamy and very good. Only downside is that this restaurant is not available on Online food delivery platforms. So only option available is in person take away or restaurant's own delivery which is operational in a very restricted area.

A very quiet and cozy place for the entire family to enjoy the great food they serve. They serve new variety of Chinese dishes. Special recommendations in appetizers is their Crunchy Chicken with Mayo & Mongolian sauce (image enclosed). Highly recommend this place for lovers of a variety of the Chinese cuisines.

This weekend we went for some work near Bund Garden Road and planned to have our lunch there. We wanted to eat Chinese food and landed at Suonmoi. This restaurant (Suonmoi) was in a lane near Boat Club road and they have some parking space. The food was really good and it comes in a large portion. They have tried to maintain the authentic taste rather than making it Indianized Chinese food. I found this restaurant reasonably priced. Service is fast. We tried both Chinese and Thai dishes in both Veg and Non-veg category. We liked the taste of all the dishes we ordered, except for the Roast Chicken Honey Glazed, which we found little sweeter than we expected. We started with Chicken Wanton Soup and Fried Spring chicken....and both were awesome !! The veg starter (Mix Veg in Szechwan Sauce) was also very good. Try this restaurant if you are planning for good Chinese food.

Not the Suonmoi of yore. We ordered vegetarian food, but the soups and noodles distinctly smelt of fish. The taste was average.

I love this place... one of the few Chinese Indo restaurants that have stuck to their old quality and taste. Service is good but many times the staff are arrogant. This was our go to place for some Chinese grub, back in the day. It was actually, a friend's favorite joint and that's how I landed here. It has been 5 years since I last visited the place but it deserves a review. Whenever we hankered Chinese, we'd come here. The place is fancily done up and creates a very posh vibe. The staff is professional and will give you a 5 star treatment. The ambience that this place oozes is also quite niche. Now, the food. Suonmoi has been present for so long and the credit goes entirely to the food. Their menu is delicious. Honestly, I don't remember a lot from when I ate there and what I ate. But, tbh, it was never a dull experience visiting this place. Go ahead, give it a try. You won't regret it.

Excellent chinese cuisine, wide variety of items on the menu. Most importantly you can call it authentic chinese but not bland, as per the indian palate and taste buds. Sufficient quantity and excellent and prompt service all at a very reasonable price. Most importantly the food is served piping hot. A very homely ambience to add to it all.

Super foods. Just googled and found this place. Worth the experience, excellent authentic Chinese. Fish bowl chef special is a must try. Burnt garlic fried rice n peawn manchurian. Need to come here again n again

Food quality and quantity is good. The hotel is located in very quite locality. Cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant is good. We had ordered vegetable momos. It tasted very good, but they took almost 30 minutes to bring the order. I don't know why item like steamed momos should take that much time, unless they are preparing it every time from scratch.

We had a particularly good dining experience here. Courteous staff and a very well thought of menu. The dishes on offer have some ingredient in them which leaves you asking for more. Enjoyed the crunchy chicken which was suggested by the usher and loved the look of the crispy 'bags of gold' going to another table. All in all an evening well spent with great company and good food. Need anyone ask for more?!

Cozy place and great food. The roasted chicken was a pleasant surprise. Also hop in if you like duck as they have multiple options to offer. Nice ambience and very accommodating and courteous owner/manager.

Service was good. The food was delicious, I would recommend smoked beef and drums of heaven for the non vegetarians. Overall food quality and the time to serve the food was good and upto expectations.
