Snake Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre Museum of zoology in Malampuzha, Kerala Malampuzha Snake Park, Malampuzha-I, Kerala 678651 Snake Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre Malampuzha Snake Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre is maintained by the Kerala Forest Department, Palakkad. Various poisonous and non-poisonous reptiles are exhibited in the Snake Park, but with utmost care of them. Apart from snakes, there are tortoises and a crocodile exhibited here. The main crowd-puller in this park are the two King Cobras that are kept in two Air-conditioned rooms. There are instructions board available (though full of spelling mistakes), which shows what to do in case of a Snake bite, and the lifestyles of snakes. There is a small stall inside the Snake Park, named "Pugmark Green Shop", run by the Forest Development Agency,ย Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. Natural honey, Cocoa, Coffee, Sandalwood Oil, Jute bags and various Bamboo products are available for sale in this stall. These products are manufactured by the tribals people living in the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, Kerala. Snake Park is located just outside the main entrance of Malampuzha Garden. (Turn left after coming out of Malampuzha Garden). Currently, the following snakes are kept in individual glass cages in the Snake Park: King Cobra (เดฐเดพเดœเดตเต†เดฎเตเดชเดพเดฒ) White Cobra (เดตเต†เดณเตเดณเดฎเต‚เดฐเตโ€เด–เดจเตโ€) Cobra (เดฎเต‚เดฐเตโ€เด–เดจเตโ€) Forsten Cat Snake (เดตเดณเตเดณเดฟเดšเตเดšเตเดฐเตเดŸเตเดŸ) Rat Snake (เด•เดฐเดฟเด‚เดšเต‡เดฐ) Spectacled Cobra (เดชเตเดฒเตเดฒเดพเดจเดฟ เดฎเต‚เดฐเตโ€เด–เดจเตโ€) Banded Kukri (เดฎเต‚เดตเดฐเดฏเดจเตโ€ เดšเตเดฐเตเดŸเตเดŸ) Ceylancat (เดšเตเดฐเตเดŸเตเดŸ) Trinket Snake (เด•เดพเดŸเตเดŸเต เดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Dog-faced Water Snake (เด†เดฑเตเดฑเตเดตเดพเดดเดฟเดชเตเดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Common Krait (เดตเต†เดณเตเดณเดฟเด•เตเด•เต†เดŸเตเดŸเดจเตโ€ / เดถเด‚เด–เตเดตเดฐเดฏเดจเตโ€) Black Cobra (เด•เดฐเดฟเดฎเต‚เดฐเตโ€เด–เดจเตโ€) Vine Snake (เดชเดšเตเดšเต‹เดฒเดชเตเดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Russells Viper (เด†เดฃเดฒเดฟ / เดšเต‡เดจเดคเตเดคเดฃเตเดŸเดจเตโ€) Rat Snake (เดฎเดžเตเดžเดšเตเดšเต‡เดฐ) Indian Rock Python (เดฎเดฒเดฎเตเดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Spring Cat Snake (เดชเต‚เดšเตเดšเด•เตเด•เดฃเตเดฃเดจเตโ€ เดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Golden Tree Snake (เดจเดพเด—เดคเตเดคเดพเดจเตโ€ เดชเดพเดฎเตเดชเต) Wolf Snake (เด“เดฒเดšเตเดšเตเดฐเตเดŸเตเดŸ / เดตเต†เดณเตเดณเดฟเดตเดฐเดฏเดจเตโ€) Bronzeback Tree Snake (เดตเดฟเดฒเตเดฒเต‚เดจเตเดจเดฟ) Apart from these snakes, three pythons are left free in a large wired cage with a tree. Pythons are found resting on the tree branches. There are plenty of non-venomous snakes left free in a small but wide well. There is a crocodile and a few tortoises. Two King Cobras (one male and one female) are kept in air-conditioned rooms. The male King Cobra was captured from South Malampuzha on May 15th, 2010 and the female King Cobra from Kava Ashramam on July 18th, 2006. I'm here is the second time

FYI- Malampuzha snake park and snake rescue & rehabilitation centre refer to the same place. This snake zoo is worth a visit, to have a thrilling experience of seeing snakes within a glass wall distance away from us. One can see many species of snakes in large numbers, including king cobras and pythons. You can even spot a poor lonely crocodile! Ticket charge is cheap.

This is a nice place to see so many varities of snake. This is near the malampuza gardens. It is not a good place for childrens below 10 years and people above 65 because they don't allow them inside the snake park now because COVID -19 is still in the area. I really recommend this place for seeing snakes and crocodile and taking photos of them

You can see quite a big variety of local snakes caught in the surrounding villages (usually homes) and a 20 y.o. crocodile. But the most amazing is that you can also meet the brave man who caught 120 king cobras by now (some of them with bare hands)!

Well maintained snake park with different varieties of snakes๐Ÿ. Only problem was due to glare from the glasses, we couldn't see some of them properly.

Not so good. Only around 10 species of snakes. Not at all worth for 25 rupees. Small area.
