Writing this review with in just couple of hours stay. Surprised to see lot of factories around the property. Not recommended to stay if you are looking for pollution free environment. Food was not up to the star property standard. Room are decent since property is pretty new. Does not deserve to be called as a star property.

The dining options at the hotel were diverse, offering a range of cuisines to cater to different tastes. The quality of the food was generally good, although there were a few instances where the dishes did not meet the high standards expected from a 5-star establishment. One area that could use improvement was the level of personalized service. While the staff was professional, I did not feel a strong sense of attention to individual needs or preferences. It would have been nice to experience a more personalized touch that truly sets apart a 5-star hotel. Zero stars for parking facilities and it’s location is totally a disaster

I been to svenksha design hotel. The stay was awesome. Ambience is super fine.Great receiving by staff.Food is very deliciously prepared.One can have peaceful view of city.

The room service is worst.Staff members are not at all co-operative. The food quality is also not good.Discipline is not at all followed in this hotel. There is no provision for the entertainment purpose. This hotel's staff should pay proper attention towards the customer.

Went to this hotel to attend a small gathering at the banquet hall. Hotel looks super good. I've had the small buffet here. Had pulka, panner masala, few sweets and veg biriyani. I don't know their prices. But, the taste was good and it's a self service, so , i didn't interact with any of the employees there. Overall, a worth time spending.

My only concern was the AC outlet is near TV and the vents beside it till bed was just dummy which takes a lot of time to cool the room. Definitely can’t stay in these rooms during summer. Overall stay was good. Rooms are spacious, neat and new. Bed was comfy and sheets are neat and tidy. Breakfast buffet was ok and have wide range of cuisines. Restaurant food was average in taste. Staff are helpful and i directly called hotel for booking and negotiated a good deal. Hotel location was little far from the city but there are not many nice hotels in the city.

I would have given Zero rating of it is available. Service is very poor. Most of the Staffs don't know how to treat the customers. If they have a party event in their premises,they will forget about the Staying customers. For ordering food nobody is responding to the calls. They forgot to order my dinner which I have given around 9:50 PM and when I asked they said the kitchen is closed at 10:30 PM and then I have to argue with them to get the food by 11:15 PM.That too they gave some leftovers from the buffet. We have booked two rooms for two days, but they have disabled our keycards, and my colleagues personal toiletries from his room without discussing with us and then we came back and have to show our booking details that it is for two days. Very worst customer service and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s my bday and this restaurant ruined my day with their food. No signs of star hotel. Everything is like a normal restaurant. The worst part is hygiene. They served us egg fried rice with steel dish wash scrub pieces in that. I have the pics. How dangerous is that. Biryani with no taste and no Raitha served. The worst onion slices in such a star hotel. And finally the washrooms. Even a small restaurants maintain a hygiene. This doesn’t have any such standards. Until we ask they don’t even bring the food. Negligence. Worst of all.

Reception, security and lifts are very helpful, and smooth. Accessible by cars, bikes, autorickshaws and taxis on wide roads. In Kakinada, this level of Hotel is a great gift to all the diverse visitors - both national and international 💐💖✨ Shopping, banking, temples and Sea beach - all are easily visitable or accessible 👍🏵️💐💖✨

My stay was very good. All staff members are very kind and humble. Especially, receptionists Mr. Noel was very good, supportive and cooperative.

Svenska design hotel was the first and only 5 star hotel in kakinada . This was located in the industrial estate area . This hotel consists of all the required amenities to fulfill the criteria but the key drawback was the location of the hotel asit was in very remote location and no proper access was available, even the roads are also not proper. Apart from this , all the other things like ambience, service , hygiene wise this was good . The food served in the restaurant was also tasty

The rooms, ambience, reception, dining area, etc are awesome. Staff are polite and helpful. Food could be better, Location is close to SRMT mall. But conveyance could be an issue if you don't have your own vehicle...

I don't understand the location choice of this hotel. This is in a dirty corner of the industrial area surrounded by slums. This is a fully glass clad building only offering view of such surroundings. I did not see any trees or space for plants etc. They could have called it Svenska the European warehouse!! The other hotels in the city are in much nicer locations.and have much better architecture. Their web site talks about proximity to Coringa wild life sanctuary. Somebody sat in Mumbai and wrote that content. The port, shopping areas and beaches are much closer than the sanctuary. The staff and interiors are nice apt for a star hotel. I went there to book a banquet hall for a function, but taken aback by the location. They could have invested their money in any other location in this city and they would have become very popular by now. I feel sorry for them.

Big Joke ! Its not a 5 star hotel not even a single star.. very bad restaurant and service. There is single man here, he is the person doing all the service including watchman to housekeeping.

Worst place in kakinada, not sure on what basis this is 5* hotel, if u order food need to wait for 1 hour with 4-5 time followup, and the manager Is a joker.. infront of you he behaves like as if your friend and if you ask any service nothing will happen. One beer he charges 800+ GST.. so expensive than Sheraton hotel in Hyderabad lol 😂 😆... And swimming pool wow... dirty water with insects inside the water and the spa lady don't even know what to do and hotel guy says service is not available today always. Overall we went for one night and it was a worst exp for. Pls don't waste your money.

A joke of a hotel. Food can be good. Rooms are pretty good but not cleaned properly, no face towels provided .you want TV it asks you to subscribe. .service is shocking. Sometimes wait 30 minutes for a basic meal, .the area is terrible..dirt roads. Wild pigs roaming around ,dark as can be..parking non existent .stray dogs everywhere..air conditioning is intermittent..wifi is terrible , the staff try their hardest but what can they do. You can complain and nothing will change . 850 rps for a bee,r 350% mark up... Bottled water in room is refilled into glass bottles from god knows where and it tastes vile. .the bottle tops are rusty. And taped closed. I wouldn't brush my teeth with it, in fear of stomache ache Breakfast is also a joke.. with limited choice, Restaurant cutlery is sticky and stained. Im here on assignment and my company pays, i have informed them of conditions and they will no longer book this place... And we have 10-15 guys coming here regularly. But no more, .i have requested a change of hotel.. Asap. I would not recommend this place to anyone . Supposedly 5 *. Haha...not even close to 3* Svenska. Do better or you will close Just my opinion

Horrible experience visiting on a sunny day. AC is not kept and the room is suffocating like hell. No concern at all from the staff. They just kept saying “AC was not on hence suffocating. Wait for 4-5 hours, then it will be okay”. This is not a 4-star hotel worth response. Very disappointed with the quality of service.

Sorry that I am giving 1 star, Google is not allowing 0 stars I believe the servers are ignorant and don't have any clue about the menu that is available. They need to learn to treat their customers better to survive. Not worth the price!!!!

This hotel is a welcome change from staying in the midst of a crowded town for anyone coming to the port/industrial area of Kakinada. Saves a hell of a lot of travel time. There is however a mall at a 10 minute walk. We were a failry large group checking in and the staff was friendly and efficient in their job. In fact the resident manager was at hand to make sure it all went smooth. The amenities at this price point is excellent. Rooms are surprisingly spacious and well decked out. Air conditioning can be better. Only other hotel I know of in Kakinada that matches the modernity of this one is far more expensive with smaller rooms. The food quality and spread at the buffet is good too. A complaint, if I may call it that, is the non executive staff on the whole being inexperienced. That I'm sure will change over a few months time. Thankfully for now they make up for it with friendliness and intent to help. Definitely recommend it for for a no nonsense, value for money stay.

As A 5 Star Hotel I have expected a very a good Experience at. I have chosen eggs to Order in breakfast. The Staff Were humble. But the Portion size and quality were not at all Up to the mark. There should be more Professional Chefs. I really Disppointed with The Taste, Presentation and Quantity of the Food.

We stayed here for two nights while on the trip to Pithapuram. Location of this hotel is the only thing I did not like. It's in the middle of industrial area. And since there are many chemical industries around, sometimes there are very strong chemical odors you may encounter. At night no one would be around and very lonely. Hotel itself is fantastic though. It's brand new and rooms are really nicely done. Rooms are spacious and much bigger than other hotel rooms. Beds are super comfortable. Latest TVs and other equipments. Washrooms are very well done. Breakfast spread is good and delicious. Swimming pool is nice. So as the gym and games room.

Excellent property, but highly misplaced. This property is understaffed and whoever is there are highly unskilled. Imagine a swanky property like this has no valet parking and no door man . Very poor and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, irrespective.

It is not a single star property by any imagination. The location is really bad . Service is even worse . Housekeeping & room service don’t respond unless you hammer them and that after hours. Food quality could not be worse except breakfast. But selection at breakfast does not even match 3 star property . Internet and Tv does not work . There is no hot water . The rooms are good but not maintained . And to top it all your access card does not work most of the times . You have to call the staff to open your own door . The common excuse is it is temporary problem though it is persisting during my stay of 2 nights . The lobby is dirty and smells as the carpet is not cleaned regularly . The hotel does not care as the people only come once to Kakinada they are misguided with star rating and the prices . Their strategy is simple no long term relationship just make money while teg guest is here

Stayed here for a day to attend relatives marriage. It took almost two hours to serve a tea that too after making ten phone calls to front desk and in room dining. When I asked the receptionist what took so long they had no answer. So pathetic. Never recommend to friends. It’s not worth the money.

The food was horrible. They took 2 hours for an awful tasting pizza. Waiters were unresponsive. Food took ages to reach us. The ambience was decent. But it doesn't change the fact that food and service was awful. Not recommended at all

It was an amazing experience having a pleasant dinner. The taste was upto the mark, hygienic and the taste has fixed according to our requirements. The service and hospitality received from Chandini was overwhelming. Would love to visit again service was great...

Breakfast open at 8am, just sitting waiting for order to be taken took forever. Orders taken, now waiting for hours before i can eat.. only 1 crew working as waiter taking order and deliver order.. others 3 only deliver food to room. In other word better to dine in room. Hotel sudden black out 2 times a day (daily) dont know reason why. Wifi is worst. Room aircond tempt cant adjust, temperature lock probably. Call technician, response yes in the phone but none come to the room.. i have to wait for 2 hrs sweating untill room finally cool down.

Highly recommend for room quality, and quality of the staff. Highly recommend for any other Orthodox Christian, or icon carrying Roman Catholic, staff showed consideration for the icons I had in my room. Highly recommend for foreigners, I already know some Hindi. But I learned some Telugu words when I inquired. The rooms are spacious, they're clean and have wonderful views from the fourth floor specifically. I enjoy the food very much. The rooms are well decorated as well, one of the better hotels I have stayed in during my trip to Andhra Pradesh. I compliment the service and the staff. They are extremely professional, kind, thoughtful, but they still maintain their individuality. It seems to me that they are not just smiling for their paycheck but are joyful people. Saroj, Ravindra, Elegant, and Dipen especially showed great care and consideration for me while I was there. I am an Orthodox Christian, I travel with some icons of Saints, and of Christ wherever I go. I went out in the morning, and when I returned they had put a towel under the icons in consideration of it. I recommend it for anyone of any religious background.

It's not AC but Blower, Just have Look on outside but whole Hotel is full of Humidity and they don't run the Blowers and the AC. When asked Explaination 3 times room changed. Ducts of AC in room also just for show off. Rude Mangement

I stayed in this hotel for a day and the experience is worst and the staff is not experienced and hospitality is zero no car parking space no door man no person carried our luggages and top of that the global buffet is not up to mark and this is not i expectes from a 5star hotel

AC temperature remains at 25 even if you set 18 If you ask staff they say it’s automatic Very funny Better to stay in Lodge than this hotel Bathroom water gets blocked in 2 rooms which I stayed No Bath gel refilling done Had to use fan for air

I currently stay at Svenska Design Hotel in Kakinada on business trips. The hotel is located in the APIIC Industrial Park. The hotel is very well-maintained, with pleasant decors, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with the basic necessary amenities. Fridge is totally clean. The hotel's restaurant is averagely good, served with necessary items for breakfast before leaving to office or business meetings. The hotel got facilities such as fitness center, relaxing spa and swimming pool but yet to visit on the busy days. Need to utilize on the weekend to unwind after a long week work days. However, there are some points to mention on the other side too. 1) As the glass window is facing East and sun is directly hitting makes the Air conditioner very ineffective on the East side rooms 2) Laundry service is very poor. The washed clothes looks like unwashed soiled clothes. 3) The drinking water is chargeable. Room service is average. There is a lot of spaces for improvements.

I was spend my 10 days quarantine at your good hotel. Nice room design, best mattress for batter sleep. Good housekeeping all staff experienced and excellent. From front desk Ms.Chitra & Ms. Ringzilla lepcha are very polite and helpful and Mr. Subramaniam (room service manager) also very good ,he provides all the support from his side. Thank you guy's making my stay very comfortable. Need to improve:- Food quality need to be improve . Food quality and quantity very poor as per your charges. Hope see you again in future.

Recently opened. Excellent maintenance. But staff needs Training. They should be groomed as per industry standards. Location wise not good. Excellent breakfast. Mr. Maruti, Director Sales is a very professional person.

I was stayed there for my quarantine time10 days Excellent room service and reception Chitra and ringzilla are really doing Good job they are very good responsible guys and a take care of very good like a home and Mr Subramaniam FMB Manager he’s a really experienced guy and maintaining everything very well good job by himself pleasure to stay there 😊

Stayed with family a couple of days back. The ambience makes one feel at home and the staff ..... too good. It was a pleasurable stay. The moment we entered the premises, it was a different world altogether. Food was very good. All in all, it was a 5-Star experience.

Svenska Kakinada is an oasis in a desert. Coming there feels like you can leave your troubles outside. The staff is extremely courteous and supportive. Special mention should be given to Chef Sai Pavan who's food is not only delicious, but one night when I came back past am, he came back to the hotel from his home to make dinner fresh. Now that's something special. Thank you Svenska and looking forward to many more great nights.

Last Sunday I visit the Svenska hotel ...its now under construction.... but Restaurant is really awesome especially Mr raju was absolutely good for receiving and politeness and always smiling on his face and food also very tasty...I hope this hotel was getting good satisfaction to all guest

Really beautiful place and great hospitality...just the route is a little uncomfortable... that's why a star less than the best review possible... Pls do visit and trust the Google maps for location...you need it!!

What I liked about the place: Rooms are clean and spacious. As it's a new property most of the equipment is new and looks well maintained. Morning breakfast was average where the service was better than the taste of the food. What can be improved: Location of the hotel is too bad. I couldn't dare to open the curtains in my room as it's fully surrounded in garbage and poorly managed roads. It's good if the property owner takes some interest and gets the vicinity cleaned. Without a good road and clean surroundings no one would ever like to spend such a huge amount for one night stay (PS I paid 4200INR for one night stay in an executive room) which was very expensive for the stay I had. I would get fabhotels and much better properties had it been in other cities as there were few options in Kakinada I opted for this place considering its expensive so it might be clean and good. Verdict: Never think expensive is good. If you are travelling for business trips and would be out most of the day then give it a try as interiors are good. Else nothing much to expect from this property.

Very poor.......first of all no standard s of fiver star rating...we had a buffet over there ..food was pathatic and waste of our money....very limited items and all items are worst taste...I have given the same feedback to the restaurant manager he is simply lisiting and not responding .on top of it he s asking us to give the review on online...so please do nt vist and waste ur money..in return u get very poor standard of food...till the management's and quality of food iimproves we can't visit there

Stayed for a week recently. Ambiance is good but the Rooms are not great…. started smelling.. Food was fabulous and restaurant staff were friendly and very supportive. Senior management staff need to be trained on how to behave with the customers… basic hospitality is required here… I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Never had I ever tasted such food in India. We had ordered for both veg and non-vegetarian food. Except for crispy corn, nothing else was good. I never had a South Indian chicken curry with coriander seeds in it. Food was blend, flat bread was burnt, Biryani rice didn't have any flavour. I should appreciate the ambience and maintenance. Not visiting again and wouldn't recommend anyone.

It was a pleasant stay, and the room service and housekeeping were both excellent. new-looking hotel offered quality buffets Awake early. The nice thing is situated in a serene environment.

It's good hotel. My first visit of this looks great welcome by staff. And food was extremely good. You can feel the taste and so peaceful

Extremely poor service. Had to wait for over 40mins for the food. It was lunch time and barely had 1table occupied yet made us wait for 40mins or so. Waiters had no idea what was happening in the kitchen and tried to avoid coming to us. Ordered Pasta but the food was not even upto the mark, not worth the wait at all . Just a show off hotel for people who want to show off that they had food there.

Worst service at the price of a five star property, staff does not even bothers about the customers request, we took a Suite room , even than every morning early hours they used to start some repair activity which used to be very irritating as that sharp sound used to come and on repeated requests any work would be done, pathetic experience, rooms are good no doubt but what's the use of it if the service is very bad and the place outside the hotel is very shabby and it smells very bad and unpleasant. We also had multiple guests as it was for a wedding, we booked a total of around 10 rooms

It's true they didn't bother about guests. Outside ambiance is pathetic to say the least..view from window is also pathetic ...only room is good..Everytime you go to restaurant for dinner they never allow you to have dinner there.....there is party/wedding guests everyday thus ordinary guest like us are conveniently ignored..

Had been here on the day of opening of the restaurant. The service is pathetic. Took over an hour to get a single dish of Penne Alfredo served even when we were the only guests in the restaurant and the Pasta was not even cooked al Dente. Even though it's just a 2 minute walk from my home, I wouldn't prefer to visit the restaurant ever again.

It a beautiful hotel, rooms good, service very poor maybe short of staff because on call the service personnel comes after a hour only ok. Even if you order a cup of coffee,water, food, to your room it's brought after one hour.

Pathetic is the in one word if i want to describe my experience. Don't go and waste your money and time. There came a fly in my whisky glass from nowhere.

The rooms are ok but average food quality and poor service due to limited manpower. Not advisable for family and leisure.
