Feeling nostalgic. Revived many memories of my life. Though HMT is not active now but this is the best company I have ever known. Closest to my heart. Lovely place to be with your family and friends. Do visit this place if you want to get a new experience and time away from your daily routine. You will love the ambiance and atmosphere of the place. You can even buy HMT watches as souvenirs for your family and friends. The cost is not that much its very economic and designs are just amazing

One of the best museum I've visited, hands down. If you are a gadget freak then you must definitely take a look of this place. It depicts on how HMT manufacturing industries worked and their products are showcased here. The entire history of HMT firm can be learnt here. The product they worked and the back-end is seen here. Variety of products and their uniqueness can be observed in depth. Their watches are available for purchase in the shop besides museum. Young as well as elderly people can spend their time here. There is a very less entry fees of ₹30 per person. Overall it's a neat and clean museum. If 45min to 1 hour spared, then one can see the museum clearly along with the audio visual information. Visit is a must to this place, once at least.

HMT museum is a must visit watch museum in Bangalore. This center has Museum, Tractor ride inside center, souvenir shop where you can buy watches from antique to latest collection and finally kids area to play. Watches for people of all sectors of societies were produced by HMT. We took a watch as a mark if remembrance. Parking area is good and it is free if we shop a watch there.

Must watch place if you have ever seen or worn a HMT watch. Such a nostalgic experience. Will understand how big of a contribution HMT has made and is making to the nation; it's way more bigger than we ever thought. So clean and nicely preserved museum. Once we vist the museum here is a beautiful park where we can relax, kids have a nice play area. Finally the souvenir shop has some rare watch collections, ended up buying for everyone in family.

If you love watches or ever had an HMT watch you may enjoy this place. Lots of good information on how watches were made. Though I would have enjoyed it more if there was more guidance from any personnel. There were a lot of machines which we couldn't get what they were used for. Well other than the museum there is souvenir shop where you can buy HMT watches. Some very good designs and few watches upto 50% off. Also there is a small garden for kids and a tractor ride which costs 30 per person to enjoy as well.

Visit this place if you want to share a piece of glorious history of public sector enterprise. However, was a little sad to see that many of the iconic watches and other items on display are in dilapidated condition. The audio visual aids are also not working. No one to guide us. But over all a nice peek into the past.

The museum is a worthy visit to take step back in time, to get a glimpse of how time was kept over the past several decades. The entrance fee is Rs. 30 and it can take anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour to go through all the artefacts, depending on one’s level of interest. What is more impressive is the vast swathes of land on which it is built as it helps in getting of glimpse of the old Bangalore that used to be, with lots of greenery and no congestion.

HMT brings back nostalgia about the times when India was just coming out of its shell as a manufacturing hub. Their watches reminded of various events festivals and people. Each Indian owned and worn a HMT watch. The museum is well kept. There is a tractor ride which others have pointed out. The various watches commemorating various occasions are neatly displayed. A must visit for watch enthusiasts and for tourists generally touring around. Happy watching.

Such a gem of a place hidden in plain sight. I have stayed in the vicinity for the past 6 years and never knew a place like this existed. Very unique museum showcasing the history of the HMT industry. A very elaborate display of their watch making components and all the models they have ever produced. Totally isolated with a lovely children's park. You can easily spend an afternoon here. There is also a HMT watches outlet on the campus.

We visited HMT Heritage Souvenir shop for watch purchases. There are lots of varieties available, including Stellar and Supreme series in mechanical. Kohinoor and Pilot were not in stock, but the sales person confirmed it would be available in weeks' time. Also, quartz watches for men and women in all ranges were available. Many of these watches are showing out of stock on HMT website, but you can get them at this outlet. The sales person is really good and customer oriented. Given lots of information and sufficient time to show all variety. It's a very pleasant place and must visit.

I have visited this store for the first time. It’s an amazing experience. I have seen huge hmt watch collection at one place. I felt so exited. I searched for janata, pilot and Kohinoor. But no luck. There are very new watch collections available at this place. Few are automatic and most are quartz. There is good Ladies watches collection. Price of watches are moderate. When you compare it’s ok.

Very good place to learn and watch about the behaviour of clocks. HMT is a pride of 20's and it has a very good mechanism explained in the museum. Very nice place to learn how even a small ticking watch can also operate for every second. It's not just a showcase of HMT as an impeccable watchmaker but the museum guides you through the various glories and feats that HMT had in other fields as well... The watches my no longer be in production but the people who were a part are what you will like. The museum shows the path that the company has been through. It houses a collection of watches produces from the beginning. The machinery used for the production is also on display. The best part of it was meeting the staff who was an employee previously. The pride in the product and the passion are still visible. I would same the same for those at the souvenir shop. They are folks who have been in the production line and are selling the last few pieces at the store there. Rare to find such cheerful people in other stores. Wish the company were fully functional!

super colManjusha Museum is situated in the holy town of Dharmasthala in Karnataka state, India. It houses a good collection of objects, antiques, paintings, artifacts, temple chariots, vintage and classic cars.[1] These were collected from temples across Karnataka. The museum is located to the south of the famous Lord Manjunatha temple.lection of antiques Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, privately owns this heritage museum and houses his collection from over 35 years. P.R.Thippeswamy, a renowned artist and folklorist from Mysore was instrumental in the development of this museum. Some of late Thippeswamy's paintings are prominently displayed in the museum as an honour to him. It was due to the combined effort of these two people that led to the establishment of the museum.

Rs10/- entry said a board as I reached there.. so thought let's check out this small place... specially after driving 150kms . On entry is a nice Morris Morgan vintage on display just After a sign board that says camera and mobile phones prohibited. Such a shame.. to cheer up I continued the walk and entered in .. a massive layout like a maze.. in and around I walked. . An interesting collection of artifacts on display. (Sea fossils, stoned age material, idol's of worship , manuscripts, musical instruments, paintings, ancient weapons, vintage video cameras/camera/typewriter/calculator/telephones,etc there is alot and beautifully displayed. On exit I picked up a book as a memory.

Manjusha Museum - Dharmasthala D.k ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Manjusha car museum perhaps may be unique in country . There are over fifty, vintage cars here . It appears that they are well maintained and kept in good running condition . Really an appreciating work carried out by them . Besides you can see bullock cart bicycles tangas and even airoplane . The museum is really attractive and you feel overjoyed by moving around and looking several vintage cars like Ford chevrolet mercedes plymouth studbeaker and more . I was overwhelmed seeing this vintage cars. Well painted and a fabulous collection of vintage car antiques. Great to see cars as old from 1850's. Collection also has some toy cars which will be exciting for kids too. Never the less to mention seeing age old Java and yiezde bikes. The effort spend in maintaining such a collection, great work. Manjusha Museum is situated in the holy town of Dharmasthala in Karnataka state, India. It houses a good collection of objects, antiques, paintings, artifacts, temple chariots, vintage and classic cars. These were collected from temples across Karnataka. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, privately owns this heritage museum and houses his collection from over 35 years. Entry fee 5/- and it takes less than half hour to complete the visit. Photography not allowed inside the museum. We will get glimpse of how the motor vehicle transformation was crafted earlier...Starting from Porsche, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, and u can name all other makers as well.... All these antique peace should be kept free in an working condition and that's what they are doing. #Museum #dharmasthala #manjusha #karnatakatourism #dk #karnatakaonestatemanyworlds #incredibleindia. #inctediblekarnataka #travel #explore #adventure #life #traveller #motoblogger #biker #youtuber #oppof11 #wheelsonroads #blackhawkridersudupi

It was thoroughly enjoyable to see the museum showing HMT's growth and the different processes to make watches. It has a nice collection of commemorative dials on display. Truly the timekeepers to the nation! There are many who owned HMT watches and remember them with nostalgia. Tractors are also on display and there is a shop on the premises with helpful staff selling HMT watches.

I am writing this review post covid 19 visit in jan 2021. Its a place were every engineer irrespective of different streams should visit to know the industrial revolution happened after 1947 throughout INDIA. They displayed all the products, achievments , goals during HMT operation, employees welfares , HMT tractors, HMT machine tools, small VT IN auditorium and different watches according to their professions. There is a park back of museum for kids also HMT watch shop to buy our country hand made glorious watches (service centers are there in banglore ). The maintenance officer is very friendly and gives many information. Last thing is they strictly taking care of covid 19 rules.

A small film gives the HMT story in gist. A visit further helps understand HMT and Bengaluru's contribution to the nation. Worth a visit.

An excellent history of our country's oldest machinery and watches history and current survival is shown in an extremely very organized and understandable ways to the people. The HMT Heritage center explains it's history how it's evolved since the begining till now. Most of the people aren't aware about this place. It's good to know our own country products like hmt machinery, printers, watches, trackers, etc. It's one of the knowledgeable place to know stuff, which most of us aren't aware of. The making of the watches start from the scratch the iron raw material to dial making, cutting, fixing, assembling the parts of the dails, varities of straps in weather, gold and diamond are explained with the machines and pictorial presentation. Many more to go here!! Within the premises well maintained park.

Very neatly maintained place and the entry ticket is 30/- for adults. A walk around this place is nostalgic as we get to know how HMT evolved from its humble beginnings. There is an audio visual treat, however I did not get to see as I visited close to 5.30pm. The section on tractor and watch making is undoubtedly mind blowing. I would recommend visiting this place in the morning as the time spent is worth knowing what HMT accomplished and where is it heading towards.

  • 5/5 Supriya K. 1 year ago on Google
Really nice to see legendary evolution of HMT. I love mechanical watches ,you can buy them here which costed 13k . The person who handles shop hardly bother to care even if you are buying watches.
