Very slow service. The service guy for us is a sloth, he given instructions and food but he was not attentive. Food is average. Not recommended Porotta- 3/5 just ok not that much great Alfahm- 1/5 dry and too much spicy. The neem chutney was good in taste but that is also too much spicy Gravy - 2/5 not good. The staffs are not attentive and they made us waiting for long time. Service billing counters all are not good enough.

The restaurant is the one and only famous and oldest resturant in cheruthoni but upon my experience food is too worst and quantity is very less. I have tried biriyani and fish curry meals but both are not upto mark in quality and taste. Chicken pieces in biriyani is only bone and not having enough meat. Rice quantity is also very less. Rice of meal is not properly cooked and curries are worst. Piece of fish is very small and giving it's as foshcurry meals worth Rs. 120 Overall I am not satisfied. Also the place is little bit rush. This is the best hotel of Idukki. We stayed there for 2 days and had food all 3 times there. All items are good. They have extra halls to manage the crowd that comes via bus. The serving time is less irrespective of the crowd. Referred by host of the homestay and thanks to him. Best: Malabar chicken biriyani, Al faham

The food here is really nice, especially the fried rice. I had lunch at this restaurant and it did taste good. The rates aren't that high too, you can enjoy a nice meal on a budget here. Parking is really a drawback at this restaurant, we had to park the car on roadside and if it's a busy time of the day, then parking is a nightmare in here

This hotel serves pretty decent food in the cheruthoi town . Well known for its hospitality. Prices are pretty much moderate. Pocket friendly 😉 Literally no parking space - must depend on road side parking. 😐 Food is pretty much always good.

Once on my way back from Kattappana I enquired one of my friends enquired of a good restaurant. He at once suggested me having food at Pappans. His suggestion was right. On last Saturday while returning from Calvary Mount we went to the same restaurant. All our students liked the food. The ambience is good. The washing area should be improved. The waiters are okey but not attending on time. Otherwise it is a good restaurant.

Great food.... Reasonable rate... Beef fry was very tasty... Meals with tasty side dishes and fish curry.... The taste was amazing... Eventhough the restaurant was crowded, the staff serves us without any delay....

Cleanliness and affordable rates make this a good spot for anyone looking to satisfy their hunger. Easily accessible as it's located by the road. Tried chicken noodles, chicken fried and meals accompanied by chilly chicken. Food was also okay. Not too bad, not too great. The pineapple juice was excellent. Very friendly staff. Overall a great dining experience.

Very good place for South Indian vegeterian food. We were starved for good veg food and this place was a pleasant surprise. Good food, polite and helpful staff, super reasonable prices. If you are a vegetarian and visiting the Idukki dam, highly recommend this place.

Best meals in cheruthoni. Ranging from their special pulissery fish curry and payasam, everything is delicious. A family friendly hotel with good service and good behaviour from staffs. Also their crispy parota and beef fry / roast is excellent.

Not recommended, If you've any other option. Waiters don't have the time to listen. Food is shabby. All staffs including cashier acts like like they are extending some favours to the customer at their discretion.

Average quality of food. Many of the things are seasonal availability. When we ask for a lemon juice they respond its not available. Like wise many things are just only for the menu card

Very poor service. Visited this place as there is no veg restaurant in entire Idukki town. The service was very poor and staff was very arrogant. Food taste also okayish. As it was weekend the place was very crowded. They have washroom facility also which is good. If you are pure vegetarian I won't recommend you to this place as there is not much options available for veg food

Pappens is a good option for travellers in Kattappana nerimangalam and thodipuzha routes, it is neat and the food is also of good quality with a reasonable rate. It is also a family friendly restaurant.

One of the best family restaurants at Cheruthoni. Food is good. Parking space is not much here, but you çan find a parking somewhere on the roads few meters away from the shop. This is located in the ground floor which is located below the road level. The restaurant is clean and the restrooms are also good. The shop looks small from outside, but there are a good number of seating space inside. I have been here multiple times in the past 10 years. Good restaurant if you are looking for Kerala food.
