7 of us and bill was 7300/- we ate well all best of their dishes .really happy with the taste .it was clean waiter was pro in his job.I mean he could explain dishes in details. Valet parking was there.I gave 4 star because the rates could have been little cheaper.But it differs person to person. But overall good food and treat to your tongue just go for it. It’s a nice place to hangout. It’s a 32 year old heritage restaurant, the food is really awesome, it tastes so good & authentic Goan food . In starters we tried Stuffed bombil with prawns & stuffed crab . And in Main course we tried Kuzhambu pomprete- curry base with appam . And we finished it off with caramel custard 😋 The staff is good & caring, they helped us in selecting the menu . They are quick with their service ,overall this place is nice 👍🏻

a rare place in Bombay/Mumbai to eat authentic Goan cuisine. the staff are very friendly and we got to take a lot of photos 😅. the food is delicious and tastes very much like the original flavours. we ate Stuffed Crab, and Kozhambu Rawas, along with Appam. there was coconut lime juice, a reminder of the street fruits. A good place to come with your friends or family for that special occasion.

Had an amazing time in Goa Portuguesa! One of the old restaurants here at Mahim. Amazing food, great ambience, live music, and great service just makes this place more happening. We tried Chicken Chettinaad with Appam, Prawns, and Rawas here which was totally worth it!

The place is amazing, though I suggest to book a table in advance because it is always jam packed. Three restaurants, Diva Maharashtracha, Goa Portuguesa and Dakshin culture curry are adjacent to each other. The owner came to us and spoke to us very nicely, did a little self promotion. The food was amazing though. I would however like if the curries have heat levels specified in the menu card.

We went there on my husbands bday for lunch. We were searching for a restaurant that will give us typical Maharashtrian food with season special Aamras. In the bargain we came to know the hotels in areas were closed, We were late and reached Goa portuguesa. My husband was happy with the name as his native is Goa. BUT our mood turned sour the moment they told us they don't serve aamras.... We had no choice but to go ahead with whatever they offer. Food was served and it was so yummy... That we forgot about the aamras. The captain was cordial but the staff was very co-op he suggested we can have mango ice cream at extra cost. So we ordered one. I asked him why can't they just put the cut mango in mixie n serve us as aamras?????? Anyways my husband's wish was met halfway. The waitor gave us a dis coupon as a token for my husbands bday. Let's see when we visit them next. This place is always thronged by bollywood celebrities. Yummy Food n service of the waitor along with mango... Made out day.

You will get good authentic goan food at exorbitantly high price. Just because it is in mahim they have unnecessarily priced the items too high. Another cheating restaurant which slightly slips the bill with additional tax named "G.P.S.C(goa portugesa staff charges)" apart from cgst and sgst.they say that it is optional to pay but none of staff mentioned this while giving the bill. This "extra self imposed tax" is 10% of your food bill. Does the restaurant thinks that just people come at their place they can charge anything to people..and isn't it responsibility of staff to tell that gpsc tax is optional.. People going there please be aware of such fraud done by restaurants

This place offers Great Authentic Goan , Malvan and South Indian food. Service staff is quite friendly, The owner is quite friendly as well and loves to interact with his. Guests as well. They provide with vouchers for your next visit usually (500 off). Also for entertainment you will have a lovely musician who is good at old Bollywood songs and has a unique yodeling style as well

I always may be three or four times in this 20 years have visited this restaurant,. I have no idea why it's given 4.5 rating for food. I never liked the food taste, only because u can take family n guest there as the ambience is good, I go there.And the owner comes and nag and say same old story to every one that's even more horrible.Any ways today's 11k bill is my last for this restaurant. Oh one more thing today as I looked at my yesterdays dinner bill Rs1008.00 was service charges my god that's too much why should I pay service charges when I pay tip to the waiter.

I had their signature dish (Goan) along with prawns and mangalorian sukha.... Which was lip smacking and quantity wise filling for 2. Their staff is friendly and even helped me select menu.... And i was not scared or concerned even for tiny bit of second to eat here because the place is very well maintained and very hygienic. I will be surely visiting this place again with family. P. We were here for the Onam Sadhya Thali with prior reservation and waiting for 45 mins , the food was tasty 😋 though did not get 4-5 dishes as mentioned in the menu . Service was not upto the mark as we had to continuously ask for the servings . Proper arrangements should have been done when the mgmt knew and were expecting the crowd as prior reservations were only entertained. As it was a thali so accordingly all the bhajis should have been served which was totally ignored by the management .

well is was little disappointed in the food served. let me start with the interior decor. The place has a nice vibe to. Interior haf comfortable seating and was quite spacious. They had live music, a singer came to every table sang some lovely songs that we can choose from the book he gives us. Now coming to the food, The starters were very good and i was excited for the main course but when the food came i was disappointed. ordered goan sausage pulao which was decent and then we got pork vindaloo, the gravy was so thick that i didnt feel like a vidaloo gravy at all and thick pieces of pork and the pork pieces were low quality meat, we had pork in startes which had good quality meat compared to vindaloo which felt totally different. For dessert i ordered christmas pudding with custard but damn i didnt expect to get plum pudding with custard totally useless no idea why they made did combo wasted almost 300rs on this dessert

Nice warm place. Interesting owner. Rotis / breads are average. Pav that we ordered with Usal was actually not upto standard. All the vegetables and Usal were served piping hot and all were just awesome. Sweet Sevai was not upto mark. Live singer was going from table to table and was singing good Bollywood songs. That was nice.

The closest it has come to authentic Goan food... The rawa fry can still be better but the fish curry is something that almost tastes like the one you get in Goa. The service and ambience is also really good. You really feel like you are in the bylanes of south Goa.

I've been a frequent visitor since 2007. The cuisine has always been Excellent. If one enjoys seafood then it's the right restaurant to visit for the pleasure of your taste buds. King size Andra Prawns is a must eat dish in the menu for seafood lovers. A variety of cocktails and mocktails are available to choose as per customer choice. The waiters have a courteous behaviour & will guide the customer if it's his first visit. The owner walks down every table to inquire about the food quality and customer satisfaction.

Totally disappointed.... I went there based on Google reviews and ratings. To be honest it was not worth that hype. The dishes were too expensive with a very less quantity. Except the ambience it is not a place to go for. We will get a super delicious food in Goa with good quantity and reasonable price. I would never ever visit this place again. Just for 3 dish I had to spend around 3k Which was really too high. Hope this helps!

Me and my friends went here after our game, we had a great experience the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing too but the service was a little slow, we were also lucky enough to experience the guitarist that often visits the restaurant and will play you a song of your choice from the list of songs that he has.

This place is super awesome and I highly recommend to come to this place....the place has the best goan and Portugese food....The ambiance is really beautiful and cool.....the service is top ten....the siting arrangements are really nice and there are tables for people from 2 to 10 seats....the best is the food....I would recommend having any fish dish and it will be one of the best dishes you have ever had.....the surmai fry and rawas fry is just yummy.....and the prawns biryani is a must try ....they have drinks like solkadi, mint mojito and they even serve hard drinks ....I would recommend going with your family or friends....the place is a bit pricey but for the taste of the food and the quality and service, I would not mind spending a little sometimes....
