Just went to see the place out of curiosity. It's 2.5 kms from Dumthang main road. It's a mountaineering training institute. Very well maintained campus with cafeteria, housing facilities, and various adventure activities. Spoke to one of the trainers and got to know how it works and what they offer. Cannot comment on the quality of the training since I did not attend one.

It's training center for adventures sports with facilitated compound. People can enjoy there with the course of paragliding, cycling, Mountaining biking, climbing and many other sports.

Beautiful place out of world for those of who wants to have a cool time... A true heaven for Nature lover's.... It's developing. ..

4th All India Sport Climbing Lead and Speed Competition held here from 6th to 8th September 2019. 157 participants took part in this competition from seven zones of our country. With 21 point West Zone become first in the madel tally. East Zone becomes 2nd with 19 points.

Old dumpster and used to attract tourists, do not believe that the accommodation is good, the rooms are a breeding ground for insects and the toilets are very bad

What a place to come and live that so desired peaceful life!! Not commenting on the courses of adventure here coz my stay was for pure relaxation. The abundance of oxygen is reason enough to break away from a polluted city life style. Very courteous staff who are mostly locals and can give u a lot of info around Namchi.

Apert from the location nothing is good. I visited the resort with my family this May,2018 because of the google map's wrong direction, we are harrased to find the place. The place is 13 km away from Namchi. The resort is based out at Chamchi, an interior place of Namchi District of South Sikkim. The location at the google map of the Resort is wrongly placed. The Location of the Resort is very good. Nice and calm place away from the crowd and city life. No netwrok, no wifi, no TV. Only basic aminities are there. The Staffs are well behaved and helpful.

Newly established by Tourism Department, Sikkim . Well laid out and ample infrastructure built up for the trainees, Instructors and administrative staff. Though a bit away from the main tourist traffic route, yet with passage of time and improvements in road connectivity, place is bound to flourish. It is unique institute as it can offer training in mountaineering, mountain biking, trekking, rafting, paragliding and so on. As of now no market, hotels, resorts, tourist spot nearby it and tourists are Uninformed about the institute. May not the people looking for crowded places in the hills. Must visit for a quite holiday .

Good Faculty , excellent raw training experience and good branded equipment . But infrastructure is not maintained especially the hostel with water issues and toilets not functioning properly . Food also very monotonous for the students.

I’ve pursued my Basic mountaineering course at IHCAE. An Eruditely beautiful institute nestled amidst the grandeur of Sikkim’s isolated hills. Entire days filled up with zeal and training were well executed with care and hospitality. Thank you to my dear trained instructors for making it so professional

Completed my Basic Mountaineering Course (19th BMC) here during Sept-Oct 2022 with an 'A' grade. The training given during the first 10-12 days in the campus is on point and will take you a long way when you're in the mountains. The Rock wall climbing sessions, Rappelling sessions and all other activities are if not beyond are on par the with standards of other top mountaineering schools. I must say, prefer not to do this course during pre monsoon and monsoon seasons as you'll face problems with the leeches everywhere. We went to North Sikkim for our high altitude training and God, what a beautiful, not so touristy and secluded place it was. The instructors made sure that we were fit for the mountains by doing regular health checks. In the mountains, we were made to push ourselves beyond our limits all the time. The cooks made sure we don't face any problem with food. During our time, the climate was against us and so we faced many problems going back to the campus. But all this while Shanti Ma'am and other instructors made sure of our safety. I'd say, if you're thinking of not wasting your time waiting out for the other premier institutes, you can blindly go to this institute as I didn't find any gaps that this institute had. Infact all the equipment provided here is more better than that of all other institutes.

Overall, my visit to the IHCAE was a memorable and adrenaline-pumping experience. It's a fantastic destination for anyone seeking outdoor adventure, and I can't wait to return for another round of thrilling escapades in the great outdoors.

I would recommend IHCAE for many reasons (A) World class Infrastructure- IHCAE Institute has finest hostel and dining facilities, Mad made and Natural rock wall, equipment, gadgets, campus among others. (B) Safety- This is the safest and loveliest adventure Institute in India and Asia second to none.. (C) Instructors and Staff- The instructors at this excellence of learning have helped people achieve the unachievable in rocks, mountains, glacier, paragliding and in life..The non teaching staff make us feel home with the warmth and Carter to all the needs (D) Location- The location of the Institute is at the hilltop opposite to Namchi town of Sikkim which is a top tourist destination for travellers from around the World..🌎 Imagine the Institute is higher then the town too.. U see beautiful stars ⭐ that too numerous times and types, many shooting stars too.. Towards North is the Samdruptse Hill; the 'wish fulfilling hill' and at the top is Guru Padmasambhava the Patron saint of sikkim.. The campus has rich flora and fauna, Rhododendron tress grow here,, (E) Easy to Do- Too book a seat for course of paragliding, mountaineering, Skieeng, Cycling, Rock climbing, or any other adventure sports we can just call the office of leave a mail.. The courses are budget friendly with life reviving qualities, friendly.. And then there so much moreeee....

I did BMC from 21st batch in April 2023, I really never it would turn to be such a good experience in my life. The trainer are really good and make us learn every technique and help us through out. Everything is taken care of from food, Heath and training. This is hidden gem in Sikkim. I would highly recommend this institute for BMC.
