Maa Chintpurni is one of shaktipeet of 51 shaktipeet as per our ancient books. As per our religious books here feet of sati fall. Maa is also called Chhinmasta which is one of name of roop of Maa Durga. It's located in Himachal Pradesh and located 2 hours journey from Hoshiyarpur in Punjab. Bus and taxi services are available for Chintpurni. It's is also well connected with Delhi and other cities of Punjab Haryana. There is large number of accommodation is available for stay at Centre including hotel Dharamshals and accommodation of mandir trust. For parking of vehicles is separate space about 1km is available and from here local taxi and other conveyance can be hired. Mandir is spacious and well manged to handle crowd. Further pujaries put money in hundi if you give them with Pooja basket. Langer is also run by trust. A market on way to mandir having large number of shops which are catering Pooja needa as well as other needs at reasonable rates. Restaurant are also located on way to mandir and these Restaurant providing food varieties at reasonable rates and quality is good to satisfactorily

Mata Chintpurni is a very popular temple in the Hindu community. A lot of people visit daily to seek the blessings of Mata Rani. The temple is very well organized and the people management is amazing. There are two parking available and I would suggest parking your vehicle in the first parking which is the government one as the charges are quite low and you can get a darshan token from there. The temple has started the lift, which wants to go directly in front of the darbar. The lift is free for old age people and handicapped people. But others have to pay a fee of 1100/- to avail of this service. Token for the loft is available is first parking only.

Here are few tips for easy darshan: Park the car in government parking place, take taxi that charge 200 per trip. Taxi drop point is gate no. 2. Only taxis are allowed to reach at gate no.2. Gate number 2 is near to the temple and with very less steps. It was very comfortable for MIL who has knees problem. Right your feedback if you found this way for easy darshan.

Temple : The temple is very beautiful. Me and my family visited hear and have a wow feeling. All about temple is great. Cleaning, supporting staff, shop kippers. Market : The market is also budget friendly. In some places you also can bargain if you know the actual price for an item. Parking: Enough parking place. Still you need to walk near about 1km. If you park on the back side of the temple the temple is just walking distance.

Shri Maa Chintpurni Temple in Himachal Pradesh is a really special place. It's high up in the hills and has a calming feeling when you visit. The temple is beautifully designed with lots of detailed carvings, showing the love and devotion of the people who built it. Once you step inside, you can feel a sense of calm and respect. People come here to pray to Goddess Chintpurni, asking for help and making wishes. The statue of Maa Chintpurni in the temple feels powerful, and many believe in a deep connection with the divine.

It is home to the Maa Chintpurni Temple which is a major pilgrimage site as one of the Shakti Peethas in India. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

The legend of this temple says that Maa sati 's forehead fell here after lord Vishnu had to cut her into 50 pieces. It is 50kms from Una, and 50kms from Jalandhar. The mandir is almost at an elevation of 1000m and there's an amazing view all around the premises (I have attached the pictures of the view). The temple is mostly overcrowded despite the efforts of the management to control the crowd. Also, please don't forget to get the Mandir entry ticket (parchi) from the Chintapurni Bus stand, You can't get inside the temple without it, so please get them first! And if you want to skip the lines, just get the prasad from the shops outside the premises, they will tell you a shortcut to enter the Mandir.

Ancient origin When Lord Vishnu severed the burning body of Maa Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down and stop his Tandava, the pieces were scattered over various places in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The goddess residing in Chintpurni is also known by the name of Chhinnamastika. According to Markandeya Purana, goddess Chandi defeated the demons after a fierce battle but two of her yogini emanations (Jaya and Vijaya) were still thirsty for more blood. Goddess Chandi cut off her own head to quench Jaya and Vijaya's thirst for more blood. She is usually shown holding her own severed head in her hand, drinking one stream of blood spurting from the arteries in her neck, while at her side are two naked yoginis, each of whom drinks another stream of blood. Chhinnamasta, the headless goddess, is the Great Cosmic Power who helps the sincere and devoted yogi to dissolve his or her mind, including all the preconceived ideas, attachments and habits into the Pure Divine Consciousness. Cutting off the head suggests the separation of the mind from the body, that is the freedom of the consciousness from the material confines of the physical body. According to Puranic traditions, Chhinnamastika Mata will be protected by Shiva – Rudra Mahadev in the four directions. There are four Shiva temples – Kaleshwar Mahadev in the east, Narayhana Mahadev in the west, Muchkund Mahadev in the north and Shiva Bari in the south – which are nearly equidistant from Chintpurni. This also confirms Chintpurni as the abode of Maa Chhinnamastika.

A very beautiful and serene place. It's up on the hill. There are two ways to reach the top. One way where Cars can park beside the valley, have a steep climb. It's difficult for old-aged devotees. There is a washroom at the top but in a very bad condition and not maintained. Otherwise early morning darshan don't take much time. We had to purchase a ticket to be in the normal line.

One of the 51 Shaktipeeth of Goddess Durga. It is also known as Chinnamasti Temple. Visited here during Navratri and there was a huge crowd, it took around 5 hours in the line and darshan. But the good part is the queues are properly maintained and managed by the authorities, there are also all kinds of facilities for devotees starting from food ( langar), accomodation and lodging, medical facilities etc. Must visit during Navratri.

This is a fantastic place to visit if you are devotional person. This place is filled with people of Himachal, Punjab and Rajasthan. I am a South Indian, being a South Indian I had no information on the temple and the importance of the same till I had been there. The process to be followed is quite simple and cliche. 1. There is a ticket counter where you need not by a ticket but collect one. 2. There is a parking area. Leave your vehicle there and walk. Yet if you are with old aged people the car goes all the way up till temple. Yet have to climb a couple of steps. But I haven't come across any old people visiting the temple. 3. There are a lot of shops that can offer you parking spots but you should purchase the prasad from them. 4. There are no deposit boxes as we seen in South Indian temple, but instead they have kept QR code. 5. The devi can be seen very close and ample time is not available for one to pray yet one has an option to initiate his prayers a way ahead. 6. Pathway are clearer and people themselves guide you to exit.

Amazing darshan of Maa Chintpurni devi :) Located on a well-structured hill area having all facilities like accommodation, restaurants, washrooms, groceries, clinics, etc. Temple is not a big one to have surrounding walls, well-designed architecture, or any kind of wonder. But the blessings of the powerful Maa Chintpurni attract all the devotees from around the world. During peak season time (June-July) it gets too much crowd that the waiting time might be longer than 4 hrs. How to reach by public transport: Frequent bus service from Kangra, Jwalaji available Parking: Sufficiently available for Cars, Bikes, Private buses, Etc. Most of the devotees go by walking from the bottom of the hill to the top to get darshan. I insist everyone go once, to get Maa darshan Jai Mata Di :)

The Chintpurni Temple besides having the idols of Mata Shri Chintpurni Devi also has the idol of mata Chhina Mastaka, the killer of the demon Nishumbha. it is believed that the Goddess Chintpurni is the remover of all troubles. This is a beautiful temple of mother Chinnamasta in a small shila form. Mother Chinnamasta represents the ultimate in service. Feeding her own blood to Jaya and Vijaya who were hungry. She represents atmarati, revelling in her own self, the height of spiritual attainment. This famous temple was first built by Jalandhara in 9th century. Place remains full of devotees, amidst tightened security and strict discipline by police and guards special appointed for the purpose.

Jai maata Di Sabhi ko... I am no one to review a god. I can only share the details of the place. When we visited the temple, arti was already done around 4.30am. so if you want to come for arti, you should come earlier. There is an parchi system to enter the temple, so don't forget that otherwise they won't let you in. Early morning you can park your car next to temple, you have to bear rs. 100 for the entry after barricade.
