Located on Idukki-Kottayam border,Uluppuni is a breezy hilltop situated around 10km from Vagamon. The major attraction of Uluppuni is the picturesque meadows. The spot was the backdrop for some of the picturesque shots in the movie, 'Iyobinte Pusthakam.' Uluppuni is one of the best off-roading sites in Idukki.Almost 7 kms needs to be travelled in this off-road to reach the view points. You can see the Kulamavu Dam reservoir from the view point which is exceptionally beautiful from the hill top. Early mornings are the ideal time to climb the hills. It is a mystical experience to watch the sunrise above the hills, amidst the rolling clouds, as you are touched by the fog carried by the breeze in the valley. How to Reach:- There are two routes to reach Uluppuni viewpoint. One via Vagamon -> Chottupara Junction and then Uluppunni if you are coming from Erattupetta/ Kottayam side. Other one is via Kanjar -> Moolamattam -> Chottupara Junction, if you are coming from Thodupuza/Ernakulam side. Both the routes to Uluppuni are meant for pure off-roading, which will offer you a certain level of adventure. Uluppuni journey will be a very good trekking experience and worth putting some efforts to see the majestic scenery. The fresh air and the cool breeze at the Uluppuni will never make you feel returning from there.

๐Ÿ˜ Uluppuni, located nearย Vagamon, is one of the most celebrated destinations in Idukkiโ€“Kottayam border, stretching in a never-ending ocean of entrancing meadows and tranquil viewpoints. The Kulamavu Dam, situated 7 kms away in Periyar River, is another attraction. Uluppuni is located 10 kms from Vagamon. From Vagamon, you can reach Uluppuni by taking Pullikkanam-Elappara Road. The other route is from Moolamattam which is a completely off-road route. Most four-wheelers would not reach the destination point, but a little trekking is always fun. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Best place for off road riders. The top view is awesome especially in evenings and mornings. Far away from city noises. Only Off road vehicles can go to the top easily, normal vehicles wont go easily. Not a good idea to walk up to the cliff. It will tear your lungs apart. Refreshments are not available. Usually not crowded. The top view is so calming and cool.

A must visit place for off road lovers. Uluppuni is a part of the Western Ghats and at the top you can see stunning green meadows all around you. If you are not a off road lover and have been on a lot of treks you can avoid this place as it doesn't offer anything unique and most of the off road is due to bad road works and no maintenance of the road. Make sure to visit early morning or evening as at noon it's very hot at the top. There are jeeps available.

Awesome view with perfect hills for trekking. The cold wind and fog adds up the beauty. You can get there through local jeep service or by own vehicle if you're looking for an off-road experience.

Must try for the Jeep Off-road thrilling experience, this point lies under the forest department and is preferred to be reached by Jeep only. The 360ยฐ view is good, we came here for Sunrise but being post cyclone days,it was cloudy. I recommend to use good suncream cum moisturizer before Visiting. Jeep rides are not preferred for senior citizens. Happy Travelling....!!!

Calm and Serene place.. Most important thing is the route to this place. Nice trail for offroaders, not that much difficult. I enjoyed the ride in my xpulse 200. Wind and fog accompanied the ride also.
