This dam which is not so popular around this area as tourist hub. But we felt it’s got to be the most beautiful dam we have seen. Totally surrounded with mountains like U shaped every angle you see... And drive around to reach this place was completely surrounded with Coconut plantation & anything else... Just totally awed & surprised by this whole trip.

The Marudhanathi dam is the one of hidden beauty of nature which is not famous among people. The way for this destination from Ayyampalayam is the heaven for bike riders and travel lovers which is fully covered by the coconut trees around 8 km. I totally enjoyed this place because there is no disturbance here(no shopping centre or food centre available). Only peaceful nature and their beauty. No entry fee here. Small dam. Fully covered with Hill's. Wonderful place for photography. Buses are available from Batlagundu(nearby city). Overall must visit place for a human.

A good evening time spend out location. Climate is atleast 2-3 degrees less compared to near by villages. Nice calm scenic to enjoy as couples or with family and kids. Recently handrails are added to walk down the water outlet channels and enjoy the water. Road is available to go near the catchment area and to the water outlet area. A small play ground for volleyball is maintained adjacent. Good to see the public is not polluting the place. Many times it is noted they take their snack wastages along with them. If you are a youth travelling with friends, do checkout the Sethilpaarai Falls which is 3-5 kilometres from this location.

Morning and evening are the most pleasant times to visit. You can enjoy the 360-degree view of the mountains, it's a nice place to unwind alone or with your friends. A waterfall is nearby ask the locals about it

Great place to visit Plenty of place to sit n eat Good to explore forest kinda environment since it's located in forest Great road to reach there using four wheelers, would be nice if you'r car is small on season times since there is no place to park and you will be only parking on half road, so don't bring big cars and vans. If you want to bring big cars and vans take right road on last split on way to dam, don't go straight. Saw people bath on dam water exhaust, water pressure was low this time maybe the reason.

Its very silent and you can sea peacock here and there but its not safe to go alone for ladies. Like its far away from highway and network coverage also will not be there.. Go safe enjoy the silence of nature and keep clean and make nice for others to visit too..
