Hidden gems of Hyderabad and magnificent architecture. Koti, meaning a mansion, is a huge mansion built in Palladian Georgian style. The building was at once the embassy of theΒ East India CompanyΒ to the court of theΒ Nizam of Hyderabad, and the residence of James Kirkpatrick, the British Resident, as well as his successors. In 1949 it was converted into a women's college,Β Osmania University College for Women

Beautiful and stunning place. The architecture of this college is more than a hundred years old yet the beauty never faded. The sheer magnitude of the size of the buildings never stops to amaze me. College is literally a paradise filled with trees and gardens. Big library big sports ground and facilities. Loved visiting the place.

Used to be Women's College, Koti, when I studied here from 1988-1991 in BA - Psychology, Sociology, Classical Language Sanskrit. Have lovely memories of being here, especially the lecturers and staff of Psychology Department. Not only were the subjects made interesting by our professors, even spending time in the library and sitting in the durbar hall and picturesque gardens with classmates and friends was enjoyable.

TMV alias Koti Women's College/ Koti Women's College/ Osmania University College for Women Advised not to join and not to trust this college. Most of the students join for their better career but this college just makes students life and career the worst. They assured for placements while joining but in the forth sem they clearly said you guys don't have any placements because you don't have placement coordinator and bla bla bla...., careless lecturers and non of the class went well in MBA 2021-2023 You can find dead snakes and insects in drinking water tanks, washrooms are the worst without any water facilities. You can find sanitary napkins on the floor while walking in college premises. It is a place of birth for snakes and some people even got haunted by ghosts as per old students.

I recommend all of you, don't join this university as it is no way good for a student. Administration is not responsible. Faculty are not fully qualified and eligible. Grading system is not defined properly. No proper action will be taken for any complaint given. I personally recommend all of you, do not take admission here and suffer like me. Make your decision wisely

5 stars for the greenery and calm ambience. One can study peacefully in the lap of nature. Old buildings with little history attached to it always fascinate me. This is one such beauty.

The erstwhile British residency in Hyderabad. As the official residence of the envoys of the East India company, and later of the British crown, this edifice has witnessed watershed political events that altered the course of Hyderabad state. Built in the Neoclassical style and supported by a hexastyle Cornithian portico, it also boasts a unique paper pressed ceiling in its Durbar Hall. The Residency plays a central role in William Dalrymple's excellent book 'White Mughals'. British Resident James Kirkpatrick is the protagonist of the story. It's a bit like Romeo and Juliet, but with Juliet wearing a headscarf and Romeo as an officer in the British army. In a nutshell, Kirkpatrick got involved with and eventually married a local girl from an aristocratic Muslim family, and 'went native'. Kirkpatrick and his wife, Khair Um Nissa, had two children, and their tragic story is at the heart of White Mughals.

The main building of this college, which was part of the British legacy in India, is a monument of great aesthetic, architectural and historical importance which is, the British Residence. The college has most of the area covered with greenery. It was constructed in a huge area. The college is also famous in academic and co curricular activities among the other colleges of the Hyderabad city.
