Treatment depends on the rank you hold in army. Inequality at it's peek. Bad nature of the staffs at hospital. Patients will loose hopes by the way they treat. One of the staff is worried about going home, as she is done with her shift. Process is too long and patients have to walk so much to get approval, signature, madicine and etc. REQUESTING HIGHER MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE THIS CULTURE. No matter what is rank on the patient, everyone have surved for INDIAN ARMY and must be treated equally. It very disappointing to be there. And it would be great if all the required process are close by. I have seen old people roaming around with no idea.

I felt very happy for the cause of this hospital; it's our gratitude towards the saviour of our nation, but I have one concern here, the employees here. If you notice, there are lots of Malayalis working here, and they only support Malayali people, not the other states of people. They become a mafia here, and they don't respect other language people, they don't even treat them properly. They are very rude. It's very difficult for us to convince them, so I request that the government please hire mixed states of people. It's surprising to me that there are no Kannadigas! It's my humble request to the state and central government to look into this issue; otherwise, people have to suffer a lot.

I regret my dad's decision on joining army after his retirement after going through the dark side post retirement. Everything in command hospital is decided based on the rank which is a joke!. Why should one elder person salute a young officer who is a doctor? Equality post retirement at CHAFB is under the ground. Please start treating everybody the same way irrespective of Rank. Treatments are decided based on rank , higher the rank they will refer you to good private hospital it's so disgusting to say that they prescribe chemotherapy drugs based on the rank. I have gone through a rough time in CHAFB I was pushed out by doctors and staff for questioning their inequality. Documents are prioritized over life. My mother was diagnosed with MCT, the doctors didn't really performed the surgery well they didn't do their best we were not allowed to question the doctor we had to node everything what they say, after surgery we were referred to medical chemo Dr. Rahul sood one of the worst doctor i have met so far in my life who never cared their patient he never explains the side effects of the drugs he prescribes drugs according to the ranks CHAFB never follows protocol why are procedure is always different from private hospitals. CHAFB never cares of Veterans life. Dr Rahul sood is not fit to be a doctor I would never want to visit such a doctor in my life. The rooms in CHAFB are worst than the government hospital. Empaneled hospitals can any time withdraw their contract from ECHS I request you to never depend and trust on ECHS . I want to escalate this to central ministry IN charge for ECHS. I had to loose my parents for poor and careless treatment from ECHS. After seeing so much irregularities I would definitely don't want be in army for how they treat you after retirement based on the ranks and doctors like Rahul sood from medical oncology you are solely responsible for the loss of my mother such a shame for ECHS. BEWARE ALL THE VETERANS PLEASE DON'T VISIT CHAFB IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE ALIVE. THEY WILL TREAT YOU AS AN ANIMAL SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A LOWER RANK!!! it's high time you stop such discrimination and take it seriously it could be yourself one day facing such thing . Never depend on ECHS it cost me my mother's life depending on ECHS and CHAFB . Its a shame for the veterans and for all the effort my dad did for this country Never visit them specially oncology and all doctors at OIC polyclinic Bangalore Urban. They are not life savers. I regret my decision to get my mother treated in CHAFB oncology I didn't have to lose her if I treated her in a better hospital than CHAFB............... If you like your parent pls don't visit !!!!

If I had an option to give zero star. I would have done that. They says , "We Care". Do they really care about the patients. No ! Absolutely not. I have been admitted in the hospital for 7 days testing positive to Dengue. Most of the nurses & the care takers doesn't even know how to treat people who are bed ridden. They doesn't even show minimum respect to the concerns raised by the bystanders or patients. I had an experience while being there when a 70 yr old lady who got discharged from hospital, the nurses who came to remove the intracath cannula , made her bleed so badly and they gave her a bunch of cotton to hold on from bleeding. But that didn't stop for a while and she got the cotton wet in minutes with her blood. Then her husband came seeing this went to ask nurses to clean and dress the wound. They just ignored him. He took cotton from somewhere else and cleaned her wife's hand all by himself. And then they ( the hospital) says "We Care". What an irony!

By far one of the worst hospital in Bangalore. The doctors here think they are very superior and that makes them so arrogant. They don't even tell you what's happening with the patient..To know, you have to run after them when the finish their rounds! They won't even stand there for a min and talk to you or explain what the issue is..They think they doing some charity work and often forget they are getting paid for their duty. A junior doctor Monisha in ICU dept got offended when I called her by her first name and started screaming at me to the top of her voice.. She wants me to respect her and call her by her title "Doctor" and when she needs me she would shout patient "xyz" attenderrrr.. I don't deserve respect you see! There is no point.. No grievance box.. No proper escalation matrix! God save πŸ™

My mom was 47 years old and admitted for a grade 1 brain tumor surgery. Their negligence post/pre surgery killed her. She was diabetic from the beginning still they operated her on a sugar level of 200. Due to which many complications happened post surgery. Instructions given by surgeons are not followed by ground staff. The ground staff is highly ignorant, arrogant and useless. They should shift to the private sector.

My father was admitted in this hospital 2 days back due to surgery. Nodoubt the hospital is good, dietary service is ok, doctors are also attentive, supportive and honest but the nurses have lack of communication skills as well as time management skill, even nurses don't have sense how to behave with patient as well as attendents, not all the nurses but the one whom I know Manminder kaur. She was working in the post operative ward. When my husband told her something related to surgery she was not even ready to listen anything and shouted on my husband . She was too rude and had unprofessional behaviour and wandered madly in the ward. So, please request to h.r department take strictly action to these untrained and unprofessional staff or take induction class so that the patients can get high quality care.

So overall it's good for treatment but few doctors over there needs to learn how to respect their patients at any cost, and come on here whoever comes for treatment is just not running and coming just like that ,they are coming because we have the facility to be used which central government has provided for the defence personnel and also their dependents have rights to get treatment there..Hence i would like to point out CHARU JAIN LT COL ,AMC GD SPL(OBS &GYNAE) for her worst behaviour with patients..So i would request that she behaves properly with every patient and not just make them down or talk in inappropriate way .And also it's difficult for elderly people where they have to struggle to get one treatment or medicine from this hospital. Please make sure that atleast elderly people get full support and guidance so that ,they don't face any difficulties.

Very worst behaviour of vascular surgeon to the patients for single refer to private hospital,he didn't approve and refer for emergency cases,he need to visit the patient to live, but he is coming Monday and Friday only, other days patients situation??? That is the reason we admitted in manipal referred by Major. Major already approved to admit in private, but vascular surgeon didn't sign?definitely I will forward the compliant to the Honourable PM of India.

Kudos to entire Gynecology and OBG doctors and team, I had been to get my mom's minor surgery done here and damn their patience to listen to patients problems till the patients discharge post surgery, they treated us the best.I am super impressed with doctors kindness and they ensure the patient feels safe and secure. I recommend people to consult Gync and Obg doctors here without any second thoughts in mind. Their service is called 'Service to the society' and they are already doing it best. Thank you and God bless you all and your families. You all are already Gods to most of the people. I wish my son too becomes a best doctor like you all.

My 71yr old mother was admitted with severe breathing problems but unfortunately arrived too late. The doctors worked really hard to resuscitate but did not succeed. The reason for above rating is in the death certificate they declared dead with unknown cause although she has been unwell for 2 weeks. They then wanted her to have post-mortem to confirm cause of death which meant the family had to be running between hospital to police station to get her remains in order to bid goodbye. In this pandemic environment when the police and doctors are required to stay safe and provide essential services is this required to put an elderly persons family through this?

Absolutely Pathetic service. Less staffing. Nurses hard hardly available to attend to patients needs and to get attended you have to 50 times be behind people. They are least concerned about patients well being and health . I have faced the bitter experience . And they say they will refer u to an empanelled hospital and the empanelled hospital does not want to take the patient in because the forces do not pay the hospitals. Is this the way the hospital takes care of it's veterans who have served the nation. Absolutely appalling to say the least.

Doctors must learn some manners while talking to the patient. Folks here are not polite. If you have have health insurance then prefer going to private hospitals where you will not feel getting humiliated and definitely will get better treatment compared to this place. Also this is the worst place to visit for your health issues in case you are an ex serviceman. Refrain this place if possible.

This hospital, while well-equipped and staffed with experienced doctors, unfortunately, tends to fall short in accurately diagnosing serious health issues. Regrettably, even some doctors seem rushed and might not allocate sufficient time to listen to patients thoroughly. In a personal case, my wife experienced a significant oversight a decade ago when she fell from a bus, resulting in persistent knee pain. Despite multiple visits to this hospital and consultations with orthopedic specialists, they consistently prescribed X-rays but failed to conduct a thorough diagnosis. Over the years, the pain persisted, and despite my wife's continued visits to this hospital, the doctors didn't progress beyond suggesting painkillers. The true extent of her injury, a Meniscus tear from the fall, was overlooked. Had it been correctly diagnosed and addressed at the time, it could have been managed with exercise, medication, and physiotherapy. In September 2022 when the pain became unbearable, we went to Manipal Hospital, Jayanagar. During the initial consultation, Dr. Ayyappan V Nair, accurately identified the Meniscus tear and advised appropriate treatment. Unfortunately, by this time, the tear had progressed to a complex stage, bordering on early arthritis. Consequently, my wife had to undergo a complex arthroscopic knee surgery in November to rectify the issue, a far more intricate procedure than initially anticipated. Now, a year post-operation, my wife is finally free from the persistent pain and has made a complete recovery. It's disheartening to realize that had the initial hospital conducted a more thorough examination back then and not solely relied on X-rays, this complex tear and the subsequent surgery might have been avoided, preventing the progression to early arthritis. Additionally, I would like to highlight that this hospital should consider improving their process of diagnosis. During my wife's visits, an MRI was never suggested, and solely relying on X-rays might have led to the delay in identifying the exact issue. Navigating the hospital for treatments can be a challenging experience, with considerable running around involved, and there seems to be no definite timeframe for receiving treatments. On a positive note, the hospital does offer the convenience of online OPD appointments and allows patients to access their lab reports online. I have attached images of the OPD and OT schedules, as well as the process for online appointments and lab report downloads for reference.

Never ever, ever, ever visit this if you have some dignity left in your soul. Just go and read all the reviews once to get an understanding of what the Bangalore commando hospital looks like. The entire staff, Doctors, so called nurses, every other person works here thinks they own this place and behave like they just dropped from heaven. If you had to get admitted, then oops, keep your self respect out of the gate. Cuz you are going to be treated like dog $hit. If you are lucky eno, may be ll meet one or 2 kind souls here and there taking care of you. Is writing all these reviews going to help. Hell no. Yet we all come here and write, thinking someone is going to come and change the world. My final verdict, with a heavy heart I write this. I LOST A LOT OF RESPECT I HAD FOR THE ARMED FORCES. CUZ OF THE WAY THEY TREAT EX SERVICE MEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. sorry I said this.

Never expected such a kind neuro doctor will be working here. I visited CHAF for my regular checkup, but this lady doctor has no respect towards patient. First asked about complaints and not even finished started giving diagnosis and when I was about to tell about my complaints she was like "is it really difficult to shut your mouth and listen when a doctor is saying something" . Then why the hell did she asked for the complaints if she wants to review history and provide prescription without hearing concerns. Even many people have concerns wrt that doctor(Dr. Monisa maria) but because of no proper complain forum they were not able to raise concern for the same. Request to CHAF please take patients concern seriously otherwise some doctors like this will ruin the image and respect that a military hospital has earned over the lifetime.

Empanelled Hospitals suddenly gets off the list of empanelled ones. In an emergency the patient's family is told that the Hospital is not empanelled for more than a month. A patient taken to M S Ramiah hospital in an emergency on 6th Nov was told that the money needs to be paid and reimbursement claimed. The process of claiming reimbursement is also painful particularly for Elderly family members. In this age of Digital Technology, shuttling between the pvt hospital, ECHS, specialist in CHAF can be avoided and process streamlined and done online.

I am deeply shocked with the behaviour of Staff and Doctors. The way they handle patients is not satisfying. They treat us same as we get treated in any Government Hospital. In our case, one of the Dr has advised to meet a person called Prince. There were many of them waiting for him. When I got a chance to talk to him saying, many people are waiting for you. Please do attend us as well. He refused by saying he will attend 20 patients first and then only he can come. This is how time for others is respected. All needs to be trained on Customer Service.

Long waiting to consult any specialist .waited in eye opd 4hrs to consult, finally she referred me to eye dept, when I went there, I was told due to covid situation, we are not seeing, finally I had to talk to hod who was seen at the corridor. He asked someone to take me to a specialist. Last one year waited, how long more. I think the authority should improve on opd services. Please have a look at the opd services and give a better care to the patient. From long distance we come all gates closed, walking around is really very difficult with health issues. Toilet at the gate is very bad no water no mugs, what swatch Bharat, really when waiting in the long queue of opd, where to go for toilet etc I only hope the authority will look in to provide basic service, also allow atleast to go from main hospital gate for pedestrian patient. Looking forward.. Thanks.

Doctors are not even bothered about patients. They make fun of patients and bully them. They are giving only importance according to patients rank, religion, and only there language people that is malyalam. When I was visiting with my grand mother we have to consult with doctor Harish, so many were waiting to consult him but he was busy in chatting with one patient more than 2 hours been waiting for long time we finally consulted . But he was not giving proper information related to issue instead he was making fun and treated us very badly. From that day we have stopped to visit hospital instead we gone to private hospital.... So it's my request to everyone better u go to any private hospital if u want to be safe and respected.

Telephone connection to any one on land line is a herculean task. I am a retired Air Force officer, been struggling to get information on how to Video conference. It has been one hour unable to get any information. Present days communication should be much better than what is existing. Very poor communication. Poorer com. skills

Without giving any star is also fine. They mentioned something else in Google and verbally they are telling something else. It is clearly mentioned in the Google that all the patients can go there but it is wrong, i can't understand if it is not like this then why it is not removed from the Google that "all patients can't go" one of the most wierd experience I got there. These things never expected from our country's defence team.

A hospital with a very traditional ambience and very good hospitality. Has a good number of trees and sufficient parking. There is a small restaurant named Super Bar, serves good veg and non veg food with descent price. Also has a CSD or .military canteen for authorised people.

I got a very good experience from the hospital... I went to command hospital after an accident with acl complete tear... can never compare with a private hospital but the experience was not bad at all. I went with low expectations..but All the paper works for surgery was done in one day...especially sgt Sujeesh, Sgt Ravi and sgt Jobin Joseph helped me a lot... All the doctors there are very experienced..after surgery nurses and physiotherapists supported me very accurately.. The only thing I felt when I was in the family ward was that the staff there should treat the elder patients with a little more respect.
