The river krishna flows through this place. It is located in between Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh and Mahabubnagar District of Telanagana State. The lord Shiva's powerful temple can be reached through this place. It also generates hydro electric power and is 2nd largest in India in terms of Capacity.

The Dam is superb. The roads to reach the water is rocky and slippery. Coracle drive in the water is thrilling. Best time to visit this place will be monsoon. The ghat roads are 4-5 hard hairpin turns and narrower.
