Famous tourist spot in gangtok. Almost 1 hr away from gangtok this is a huge waterfall which has 7 streams altogether. Mostly packed with tourists. However only 2 falls are visible from the outside as others are quite up in hills covered in trees. The place is not properly maintained and you can climb up on the rocks to get a perfect view of the waterfall. Washroom facility is available which is paid and clean. There is a stall for maggie, momos, omlet etc. It is indeed very calming and peaceful to stand in front of the waterfall and admire the beauty of mother earth.

The Seven sisters waterfall is a beautiful waterfall. It has seven steps of fall, hence named Seven Sisters Waterfall. It is on the way to Lachen/Lachung from Gangtok. One can reach to the feet of waterfall and enjoy safely. There is a small tower to view the fall more perfectly. Hilly dresses are available for photo-shoot to save as memory at nominal rent.

This is the first of many waterfalls that one encounters while heading towards North Sikkim exploration. Though the waterfall is quite nice and refreshing, I would suggest to waste less time in exploring such a small place for the locations ahead are far more worth exploring. So, spare time and travel quickly. Care must be taken while taking close shots and going near to the waterfall as the rocks are slippery and people often tend to lose balance. 45 minutes is more than enough for exploring the place and taking pictures.

Well, there are literally 'n' number of waterfalls you can see while traveling Northeast Sikkim, of which this is one of those... - Beautiful waterfalls - You can't get down and play, its dangerous - Scenic beauty at its best - Visited in the month of May last week - Dont have to go quite far in search of a waterfall, its near to the highway while travelling to North Sikkim - cleanly maintained surroundings #swachhbharath

Seven Sister is a popular waterfall located on the Gangtok- Lachung Highway, around 32 kilometres away from Gangtok. As the name suggests, the seven different waterfalls harmoniously arranged sideways on a wide rugged cliff seem distinct if watched from a distance. It becomes a must see place in Gangtok after rains, when the falls come into a fierce life offering an awe-inspiring view. The gurgling water of the fall plunges out of the lush green vegetation plastering the rugged cliffs, falls over the limestones making a thunderous sound. The picturesque beauty of the fall makes it tourist’s stopping point to relax and rejuvenate. The prismatic view of the setting sun allures the visitors to fall into a long photography session. Every monsoon the fall receives flood of visitors hanging cameras on their sides. It is the tourists hotspot who are keen into photography. It is also an ideal picnic spot for the families with kids. The Tourism and Civil Aviation Department has built a waiting shed and cafeteria for people to refresh themselves and shoot pictures of this nature’s wonderland. Located 32 kilometres away from Gangtok, it takes around 40 minutes drive to travel to Seven Sister Waterfall. One can hire a taxi to visit this magnificent location bestowed with nature’s epic beauty. The Seven Sister Waterfall are best visited during monsoon in the months May - July, when its seven segments are visible in full fledge. This beautiful Waterfall also seem amazing when the snow is melting.

This is a beautiful waterfall, located just a few km away from Gangtok and can be observed while going to lachung, northest part of Sikkim, from Gangtok. The fall takes several bends ( 7, as the name suggests) and creates a beautiful smokey picturesque scenery to behold. Be aware if you're carrying any electronic gadget such as mobile or DSLR, as they can get harm for the fall is so rapid that the area around the fall get very watery. There is a old pool, and you can click pictures from there.

Situate enroute Gangtok to Lachen. Worth stopping for a few minutes. Seven sister name is given due to seven segments of the falls.
