I will suggest you to please visit this place if you are visiting Nainital. Rs. 60 per head (to & fro) from mall road to zoo. Pros:- 1. mainly Himalayan animals available. 2. red panda, wolf, tiger, leopard, different species of parrots, eagle, owl, deer, bear etc. were available. 3. follow arrow marks on roads to see all animals and birds. 4. cleanliness and maintenance was awesome. 5. nominal entry fee. 6. pram was allowed for toddlers. 7. safe. Cons:- 1. tough for aged people coz the zoo is on mountain.

Nice zoo. Well maintained. We can see a lot bird, tiger, panda, bear leopard and other animals. It's on hill. I suggest to carry water and start early in morning to avoid hot afternoon.

Because zoo is on very high altitude so you can go without vehicles. There are some shuttles running between mall road and zoo but wait time is very from both the sides. Place is good and quite , you will get great views of nanital from the top of the Zoo. But Animals in the zoo are very less only tigers you can see other animal hide itself In Tree.

It's an high altitude location hence one need to prepare a long walk uphill. Less animals but preserved well. One disadvantage is the shuttle service stops close to 400m from the ticket and this uphill walk will be tough for 50plus . Authorities should do something for this.

Its a high altitude zoo. Lots of animals and well maintained zoo. Since the zoo is on mountain expect alot of walking up and down the terrain. The best part is that they have preserved the nature and tree within zoo. Few of the enclosures feel like jungle. Must visit for your kids.

We visited the zoo in june and a lot of people were there as it is the peak month.. A lot of people were there in the line for taking cars that take you to the zoo. But we prefer to go by bike only.. After that we have to climb a lot in the zoo.. The zoo place is not plain you have to climb a lot... When we visited there were very few animals were there.. The ticket was of rs 100. .

Hi everyone, Praying for all your safety. Nainital zoo was amazing. The view, the condition of animals and the management including facilities like water and shade makes it a 4.5 star. The only thing I would suggest is to make the directions a bit more clear. It's not that it's missing but a bit confusing. Went with colleagues and you would easily witness that they loved it. It was mainly due to my insistence they went there so, I was relieved after the positive response from them. I visited this zoo when I was in class tenth. The blurry memories were refreshed all of the sudden. Great place to visit.

Lot of trekking involved, good exercise esp. With a toddler, carry your prams. The animals were all visible, huge variety ranging from lions, tigers, bears, deers, birds, ducks, leopards. Please book a government shuttle to travel to the zoo along with buying the zoo tickets.

Wonderful zoo. In excellent condition and the entrance fee is one hundred rupees per person. We have a good chance of spotting a variety of species, including birds, tigers, pandas, bears, and leopards. There is a hill there. I recommend that you bring water with you and start early in the morning to avoid the scorching afternoon. As you need to climb height, so be prepared, but that would be fun and worth it. From the height of the zoo, you can view the shape of the one and only Nainital lake.

It's lovely to see different animals and birds at one places. The look of Bengal tiger and beer is awesome.

A great zoo experience on top of a Nainital hill. Be prepared to walk a few slopes and give half a day of your trip to zoo, including snacks in zoo cafeteria outside the exit. Great fun for kids especially.

Highly underrated place in Nainital. Zoo is just amazing for everyone to visit. It is highly well maintained, animals are quite well kept. Lovely to see the tigers, leopards, bear, deers and so many others. Climbing to see the animals is a task but totally worth it. It is highly recommended to visit when in Nainital.

It’s a must visit for your children. The zoo is very well kept and maintained. The zoo staff is highly courteous with someone always present at every enclosure to guide you and tell fun facts about the enclosed animal or bird. Animals you can look forward to seeing- Tiger, Red Panda, Himalayan Wolf, Himalayan Bear, Leopard, Steppe Eagle, Golden Pheasant, Macaw Parrot, - Thursdays are weekly off, - ticket prices for children upto 5yrs are free, 5-12 yrs is Rs 50 and adults are Rs 100. - you’ve to take a zoo shuttle from India hotel (Mall road) to reach all the way up and they charge you Rs 59/- per person. The same ticket is valid for going up and coming down via same shuttle service. - the person who issues tickets sits under the tree on the bench right in front of India hotel on the main mall road - no private vehicles allowed to the zoo, no private taxis or other public transport is allowed. ONLY Zoo shuttles from India hotel.

Visiting Nainital Zoo was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was captivated by the natural beauty and well-preserved habitat. This enchanting zoo is a haven for both wildlife enthusiasts and casual visitors looking to get closer to nature. The highlight of my visit was observing the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers. The zoo has created an exceptional tiger habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. It was awe-inspiring to watch these magnificent creatures prowl and play in such a well-designed space.

This zoo is at high altitude so you have to lots of walk at high slope, may be not good idea to ho there if you are with senior citizens. Though zoo is beautiful, you can see Tiger, Wolf, bear, white peacock, owl and lots of birds from different species.

It's a very big and good πŸ‘πŸ» zoo with wild and cute animals but it's too different to reach the ticket counter you need to climb very step slopes ⛰️⛰️

Good place to visit but you need to climb height so be ready but that would be fun and worth it, you can see the shape of one and only Nainital lake from the height of zoo. The ticket fare is Rs 100 per person, though you can miss Lion, elephant, snakes and water living animals.

Nice place 2100m high altitude zoo.. Will Take 100 rs per person to show you tiger in cage.. If you are going with kids it will be nice investment otherwise as a traveller it is a waste of time and money.. Find me on instagram with "debashritachaterji" for more such clicks
