The crafters antique shop displays a wide range of replicas of antique items that you can buy, a bit costly though. The shop also displays the worlds largest 'Uruli' or 'Varpu' (Cooking Vessel in English). It costs Rs.7 lakhs, measures12 ft in diameter, handle-to-handle, and weighs 3,184 kg.This is larger than the one showcased at Pragati maidan, New Delhi, which measures 9.5 ft in dia and weighs 1,500 kg. The story of how the vessel was made and more details about it are written in the shop. It is a beauty of its kind, one must pay a visit to the shop, easily notable from the road if you are around the area.

I was walking by the Mattancherry streets, that is when I noticed this shop which had displayed the biggest Uruli which had entered into the limca book of records. I was curious when I saw this, and when I looked around the shop there were many fascinating items for sale. Even the staffs were friendly. Do visit this shop if your in Mattancherry. Highly recommended !!

Throughout the 20+ years we have been visiting Kerala, we always go to Crafters and we always find something ‘we simply must have’. Their stores are a trove of antique and vintage treasures and they also deal in some reproductions. There are many shops where you will be told an object is an antique when it is not but this is not the way at Crafters and what we’ve come to experience over the years is the scrupulous honesty of the owners of Crafters. Those items we have had shipped have been extremely well packed and have always arrived in the same condition as we bought them. We’re sad not to be visiting this year as we had planned.

Crafters Antique Shop has a very impressive collection of artefacts and furniture from many parts of India. Some very unique pieces. Not to be missed! Reasonably priced too. Excellent customer service. We had a very pleasant experience dealing with the friendly owners who were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They very efficiently organised the export of a container load of artefacts and furniture to Bali . We highly recommend the store.

Denied entry to the store.If not allowed to see the store how are we supposed to buy anything at all and why keep the store open.Or atleast keep a sign saying no entry, than keeping the doors open.Very disappointed! The place is clearly overpriced. In case of shipping to other cities, they don’t pack properly and don’t take responsibility of the damage too. My order came 25 days late and half of the things were broken. Frustrated with the experience
