earliest
known
Christian
burial
place
in
Delhi

cemetery
was
established
in
1857
and
is
named
after
Brigadier-General
John
Nicholson,
a
Victorian-era
military
officer
who
played
a
key
role
during
the
Indian
Rebellion
of
1857.
