The origin of Lucknow courts goes back to the 1857, the year of the first war of independence. The East India Company annexed Oudh in 1856 and named it Provinces of Oudh with 12 districts. Thereafter, the British established the highest court of appeal in Lucknow the same year. It had one judicial commissioner. Later, additional judicial commissioners were also appointed. After 69 years, as the system of judicial commissioners was found inadequate and antique, the UP legislature passed an act in 1925 establishing the Chief Court of Oudh with a chief judge and four puisne judges (a title used in English common law courts for a judge). Later, the number of judges was increased by an amendment in the law. This system continued for 23 years. In 1948, the governor general amalgamated the Allahabad high court with the chief court of Oudh by making the amalgamation order. After the two courts became one, it was called the high court of judicature at Allahabad. For courts in Lucknow, the word bench was not used. Instead, it was called the high court of judicature at Allahabad sitting at Lucknow. But over time, it became famous as the Lucknow bench.

The High Court Lucknow, also known as the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, was established on July 1, 1948 for the administration of justice in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located in the capital city of Lucknow and has jurisdiction over the districts of Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Rae Bareilly, Unnao, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, and Barabanki. The High Court Lucknow serves as a court of appeal and also has original jurisdiction in some select cases. It is the third oldest high court in India, after the Calcutta High Court and the Bombay High Court.

The Lucknow High Court is one of the oldest high courts in India, having been established in 1869. It is located in the city of Lucknow, which is the capital of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The Lucknow High Court has jurisdiction over the state of Uttar Pradesh and is considered to be one of the most prestigious and important high courts in the country. The court has a beautiful building, which is a blend of British and Indo-Saracenic architecture. The building was constructed in 1925 and has several impressive features, including a large central dome, a grand staircase, and intricate carvings on the walls. The Lucknow High Court is known for its efficient handling of cases and its commitment to providing justice to all. It has a reputation for being a fair and impartial court, and its judges are known for their integrity and dedication to the law. Overall, the Lucknow High Court is an important institution in India's legal system, and its contributions to the administration of justice in the country are widely recognized. However, it is not appropriate for me to make a judgment on whether it is the number one high court in Asia, as rankings and assessments of courts are subjective and can vary depending on various factors.

Very Poor Services ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป Here a lot of problems have to be faced for the entry of clients. Even on the day of hearing, clients have to request a lot to get entry from their lawyer, don't know what kind of system and rule is here. What justice would people get here? There is a High Court only in name. Otherwise, the saying that is spoken is absolutely correct that...the law is blind.
