Zoo with most of the animas & birds

Beautifully Covered most of animals.... Enjoyed a lot... Recommend 4-5 hours time for it..

Well maintained. Advice: let’s not disturb animals. So, throwing food and making noises have to be stopped.

Great zoo. Has variety of animals ranging from birds, tigers, lions, different breed of deer, elephant (both Indian and african), zebra, girrafe, different family of monkeys etc. Has very good facility of purifier water and toilets around the zoo along with food court which serves decent food at reasonable price. The zoo is around 4km long walk. They have electric vehicle facility for the tour. Normal ticket for adults: Rs. 60 Mon to Friday Rs. 80 Sat and Sunday For electric vehicle Rs. 160 Mon to Friday Rs. 180 Sat and Sunday Children have slightly lower charges.

This Zoo is one of the best. Need lot of patience to walk a long path. If you are too tired to talk, You do have battery operated buggies which will take you around for an extra cost.

Zoo is Well maintained and various types of animals. If you go with kids, you have two options. Go walking, requires 3-4 hrs but kids get time to spot the animals and enjoy. Else, take the electric vehicle that costs ₹150 per head and finish in an hour. In the electric vehicle you don't get your own time and have to see from vehicle most of the times. A large variety of species can be found. Has plenty of toilets and cafeteria and sitting spaces. The canteen also available and is pretty decent too.. but it's in far end of the zoo. Would recommend everyone to visit the place. Plastic free zone, better not to take food covered in plastic. Very clean environment, good for a walk. The public can adopt animals to contribute to animal awareness and conservation. A gift store is also present if one is looking for a souvenir. Ample paid parking space for buses, cars and two wheelers is also available.

They have informative signboards and displays near each enclosure, educating visitors about the conservation efforts and the importance of wildlife preservation. This educational aspect adds value to the visitor's experience and creates awareness about the need for wildlife conservation. However, one aspect that I felt could be improved is the availability of more shaded areas and seating options. Mysore's climate can be quite hot, especially during the summer months, and having more shaded spots would provide respite to visitors. Additionally, expanding the seating arrangements near popular enclosures would allow visitors to observe the animals comfortably for a longer duration. In conclusion, Mysore Zoo offers a captivating experience for animal lovers and nature enthusiasts. With its diverse collection of animals, well-maintained enclosures, informative shows, and conservation efforts, the zoo provides a memorable and educational visit for individuals of all ages. I highly recommend visiting Mysore Zoo to witness the beauty of wildlife and to support their conservation endeavors.

One of the best zoo in Karnataka.well maintained & clean. it is one of d attractive places in mysore, different species of animals are present here. it very enjoyable when you visit with children. & carrying plastic inside the zoo is chargable.

We visited in the month of Dussehra, so a huge rush was expected anywhere in Mysore. The main attraction of the zoo were the Giraffes, many of them towards the exit point. One could watch the magnificent hippos & rhinos from very close quarters. Also, we could see elephants from 65 years old ones to 2 month old. Overall, a satisfying & enriching experience, and a delight to our kids.

Awesome place for kids! The place is easily locatable. Has a decent parking space in the front of the gate, but may get filled up quickly during peak time though there is alternative parking space if not available. The zoo is well maintained. The zoo has many varieties of wild animals. The tiger is one of the centre of attraction. Kids love the place. There is an canteen inside the premises serving variety of food. But personally we did not like the taste of the food. Outside food is not allowed. Tips: Better to carry a binoculars or Dslr camera with good zoom capability as some of the animals are kept at far distance.
