I visited Neral Railway Station in August last year, while it was a convenient stop for accessing Matheran Hill Station, it was unfortunately very crowded. Additionally, there were not many trains stopping at the station, which made it a bit inconvenient.

From here we can start a small toy train journey to Matheran Hill Railway Journey.. Those who want to plan a trip to Matheran Hill toy train journey don't plan between June to September..at that time Toy train journey closes due to rain.

Very nice and clean station. This is a station from where we can also go to Matheran by small train. Has a feeling as if we are at some remote place with peace. Lot of grocery store, medical stores, fruit stores and hotels etc.

Neral ➡️ Matheran hill station by toy train, toy train start from neral railway station to Matheran hill station but there are limited seats in toy train so reach before time.

This local railway station is very near to matheran, once you get down go towards the east side of the railway station, at walking distance you will find a toy train ticket counter. Most importantly, check the availability of this toy train before you plan. If toy trains are not available don't worry you get cabs out railway station East side, but have the bargaining power in you.

Small railway station with 2 platforms. Has washroom on platform 2 as well as outside pf 2 on mainline. It also has toy train to Matheran. Tickets to toy train are issued 45 minutes before the departure. Lots of small restaurants are available outside Pf 2 which provide tasty snacks. Taxi service is also available to Matheran. Rate is 100 for adult and 80 for child (as of Feb 2023)

This is one of the important stations while travelling to karjat. One can get down at neral junction and go to Matheran by shared jeep or even bus. Well maintained and clean train station with food and restroom facility.
