Very peaceful place. Set in a large ground with nice walkway and green lawn, the memorial is a classic Chinese styled building. The memorial hall provides plenty of information about Xuan Zang's travel to India and his life. Well worth a visit when in Nalanda.❣️❣️❣️ Don't forget to search me on YouTube for full vlog🤭

A must-see place if you're also visiting Nalanda excavated site. It closes by 5 pm, so plan your visit accordingly. The ticket price is very nominal. As it can be seen in the pictures, it is beautifully built and maintained. The hall is very big and has a beautiful imagery and textual depiction of the life events of Hieun Tsang.

The Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall of Kundalpur is a memorial that was constructed to honour the Chinese scholar monk and traveller Hieun Tsang, who used to be a student at Nalanda University and eventually went on to become a teacher at the Nalanda Mahavihara. Located near the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University on the banks of the Surajpur Lake, this memorial hall is one of the most famous places to see in Bihar. The memorial hall has been built on the same place where the monk used to learn yoga from his teacher. Time: 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. Location: The Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall is located in Kundalpur, on the Nalanda University Site Road, around 81.8 kilometres from Patna Historical Facts: -The construction for the memorial hall began in the year 1960 and was completed in 1984. -The memorial hall was constructed as an initiative, with the aim to enhance Indo-China cultural relationship. -The decision to construct a hall began in January 1957, when the then PM of India received Xuan Zang’s relics, biography and an endowment for the same from the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama of Tibet. Architecture: -The memorial hall is built in a style similar to that of the ancient Nalanda University. -Boasting of a typical Chinese style of architecture, the memorial is a great place to learn about the life of the Chinese monk. -Some of the exhibits inside the memorial also include sandalwood and golden idols of Lord Buddha, along with Xuan Zang’s compositions and studies about Buddhism in India and China.

A must Visit place In Nalanda, Tam Tam is available to reach. The memorial was built in honour of the Chinese traveller and student Hieun Tsang, who is believed to have studied at Nalanda. The memorial, in typical Chinese architecture, documents the life and learning of Hieun Tsang. Paintings adore the high walls and ceilings of the hall and one could have a sneak peak on the lives and teachings of the people then. The memorial is 2KM from the Nalanda university ruins and there is an entry fee of Rs. 10 to enter the place. Open between 9AM - 5PM

Located near the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, this Hall is in memory of Chinese scholar and traveller Hiuen Tsang. A memorial has been built and named after the Chinese traveler and scholar monk, Xuanzang, who was a student at Nalanda and subsequently became a teacher at the ancient Nalanda Mahavihara. The magnificent hall is located barely 1.3 km away from the ruins of Nalanda. It was in January 1957 that India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, on behalf of the government of India, received the relics of Xuanzang along with his biography and an endowment for the construction of a hall in his memory from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama of Tibet. The initiative was aimed at enhancing the cultural relationship between India and China. The construction work started in 1960 and was completed in 1984.
