I visited in Jan 25th 2022. During the time puri was very less crowded. Beaches were empty, roads were empty, hotels were cheap and markets were also cheap. Very pleasant weather and very nice experience to visit with family between the pandemic. Temple was closed though. But we ordered maha prasad with the help of the hotel.

This is one of the busiest railway stations in Odisha.. Well connectivity to almost every state and specially to west Bengal.. Very clean and maintained railway station and security persons are also very active here.. Both puri jagannath temple and sea beach would be around 1 km from the station..

Recent visit time was at Rathayatra. Huge visitor pressure. If want to enjoy Puri beach, don’t choose this time. Most of the city roads are entry restricted.Rail station is also over crowded. The beach area is under development and city planning is very good.

After finishing the exam I was thinking about a quick tour. My family was going to Puri hence I also joined. I have already visited Puri twice but our memories are like the sand art on the beach, they fade away due to the daily current of our busy life. But there is that one artist who knows his art is temporary but his passion for his magnificent creation is stubborn like a rock. Yes we are the artists for our life and we are again and again creating new memories. My Puri trip was nothing fancy nor was it boring. We enjoyed every bit of it. Day 1: We just got into the hotel at about 9pm and slept away the night. Day 2: At 4 am we woke up to see the sunrise, but it was a bit cloudy. Then we went to the Lord Jagannath Temple and did our Puja. Then we went to the bath in the sea. At evening we went to pass time near the sea beach, and then we went for shopping. Day 3: We had booked a 15 seater TATA Winger for sight seeing at about 4600/-. We were total of 11 people. But anyone can book every kind of car. Bus tours are also available (350/- to 450/- person) We visited Chandrabhaga Beach( Dry sea) Lingaraj temple, Konarak Sun Temple, Uday Giri, Khanda giri, Dhauligiri Then we came back to Puri station for our return train.

Clean and beautiful station. Handles all the railway traffic to puri. The Khurda Road–Puri section was opened to traffic on 1 February 1897. The railway station was renovated in 2012 into a more traditional Hindu temple structure with more facilities.

Is good places if you want to see beach in low budget. One of the best advantage for Hindu is it is one of four Dhamas Lord Jagannath temple is located in this city. Best time to visit in winter due to humid air in summer and frequent rain in rainy season.

Good and clean railway stations in odisha. But platform height from train compartment too low. For which passagers are using staircase of train compartment, which is uncomfortably for child, oldage, differently able passagers.

Good ,the holy land of Jagannatha, also known by the popular vernacular name Srikshetram, has many ancient names in the Hindu scriptures such as the Rigveda, Matsya purana, Brahma Purana, Narada Purana, Padma Purana, Skanda Purana, Kapila Purana and Niladrimahodaya. In the Rigveda, in particular, it is mentioned as a place called Purushamandama-grama meaning the place where the Creator deity of the world – Supreme Divinity deified on an altar or mandapa was venerated near the coast and prayers offered with Vedic hymns.

The station is clean and the area is comparatively big than other stations. It's always crowded as a lot of devotees come everyday. All types of facilities are available. One good thing is there is no foot overbridge .

About the station first I have to tell that it is a very clean and well maintained station.Strict rules are maintained. As puri is a tourist attraction then thanks to Orissa Govt. for maintaining this so well. There is no Fan in the platform as the platform is very comfortable and windy without fan.
