A very well organised Durga Pooja utsav in powai. There is a bit traffic while reaching here also parking is a bit issue. Yet worth visiting to get the real feel of Durga Pooja. The variety of stalls of sarees, delicious Bengali food is to die for. You can also enjoy the religious and famous dhunuchi naach performances. The pandal and idol is beautifully decorated. Would love to visit every year.

It was my first Durga Puja '19 in Mumbai, and i was unaware of any places where I can pay a visit to celebrate the festival. So tried searching over web and got to know about Powai Sarvajanin Durgotsav managed by PBWA and sponsored by Times, very good experience with various food joints serving authentic bengali cuisines, there are several other stalls from arrayed industry and of course the beautifully decorated pandal with idol. Enjoyed my evening, surely recommended. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ

The Powai pujo committee is very caring. Some people had health issues due to the weather. They accommodated the patients in an AC room, provided bhog and cold gel. They were there providing personal attention despite their packed schedule. The bhog is splendid and this is one of the best pujos of the city.

I had a wonderful experience visiting this pandal. Despite the crowd, the management was excellent, and the food here is absolutely delicious. I couldn't resist the tempting flavors! The Bhog prasad was a special treat, and it added a touch of spirituality to the occasion. Wishing everyone a joyous Navami! โœจ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿค

Well, the place draws huge huge crowd, it isnโ€™t easy to manage to go there. Parking is big issue, pandal isnโ€™t the best managed ones in mumbai. Went quite late at night on Ashtami but it was still too crowded and not easy to go for darshan. Too many stall, but looks unhygienic for food, hence didnโ€™t try anything. Darshan is divine for sure.

There are two Durgostavs in Powai Area, one is located next to Hiranandani Bus Stand and other is located at JVLR and both are 5 minutes walkable distance. I have been to Powai Sarvajanin Durgostav for the past 4 years and I definitely love this place. It's a must visit for all.

Felt just like home, with the streets full of lights. Perhaps the only thing that reminds you it's a different city is the odd "mela chal raha hai kya" from clueless passer-bys. The book fair addition was genius! Truly a blessing to have a pujo like this in Bombay. Feels like a warm hug for the Bongs who miss home. Would rate it 6 stars if I could.

One of the most beautiful pujo celebrations in town. The vibe is just divine. They should have better crowd management... The traffic in the vicinity of the pandal is horrible there is no parking in the vicinity while police are banking on the same.

This year the theme is Lordโ€™s Cricket Ground (London/UK). After 11 pm there is hardly any crowd/rush, you can take pictures/videos at your convenience and spend some peaceful divine time. Make sure you visit before 2 am, if you want to visit the food or other stalls.

One of the best Puja experiences in Mumbai. Have their Prasad, it's worth the wait. You may have to stand in queue for over 30 mins. Just recommending others not to buy eatables from shops near the pandal, they are over priced. Rest is up to you to decide.

Due to COVID norms, the Durga protima was reduced but the crowds were swelling. One good thing, you could buy food to eat here. Other pandals that I went this year did not have the food option. However, it took nearly one hour for the food delivery whereas it took only 5 minutes for darshan.

Visited in 2021. In 2019 the scale of the event was high, idols were huge, no of stalls were more. Obviously in Covid times, it has reduced. But thank God atleast itโ€™s still open for public. Thereโ€™s just one food stall by Jamai shosthi and a jhal muri stall..but itโ€™s mismanaged as no of people are more than they can prepare the dishesโ€ฆstill the food was good. Anyway Maa Durgas Darshan is all that matters. Covid protocols are followed.

This is a small land which hosts Durga puja and kali puja. It conducts exhibition for the rest of the year. You can definitely find some of the beautiful handcrafted ceramics or clothes at reasonable price.

I would rate this lower as a venue but the events held there would be at a disadvantage. As a venue, its only advantage is space and location. It is quite a big ground located centrally in Hiranandani Gardens Powai. It is lacking in ALL other aspects- the ground is uneven and has lot of sharp stones and pebbles which they cover with a red dari cover but the stones still poke out. You cant walk barefoot and even with shoes you have to be careful not to trip bcos the stones underneath can turn and make you slip. There is no public toilet in the ground or nearby. Thats all. Go to the events organised but be careful not to hurt yourself.

It was a great moment to visit the Durga Puja Pandal of Powai, located near Powai Garden , a well developed Suburb of Mumbai, called Powai, which is celebrated in great way by the Bengali Welfare Association, Powai. It was a divine and very pleasant moments to get a glimpses and blessings of Godess Mother Durga, the Deity for Power, Energy, Wealth regeneratior of the life and prosperity. The Statues of the Deities were very great, Divine and beautiful. It gave a lot of pleasure to my soul. The atmosphere was enthusiastic After getting the holi opportunity for celebrations, which was discontinued for 2 years due to Corona Paendamic. The gathering was huge, but well disciplined. The Free Bhog Prasad in the day for everyone (unlimited for several thousands of devotees, in whatever number they may visit) is there for three days of puja i.e. Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami & Maha Navami. I happened to visit during mid day, but the glory, lighting and decency has to be quite different in the evening, when the daily Cultural Functions are organised for i.e 4 or 5 days . A lot of stalls were also lined in and the drinking water facility was also there. Though the arrangements by the Puja Committee was good & enough with sufficient numbers Security Guards and Volunteers, and their efforts was praiseworthy, the large ground was not enough for the several thousand large crouds ofthe Devotees. Usually, the devotees from all states and the Bengalies in particular, this Durgotsav Celebrationsbis is awaited for whole year, as a very auspicious occasions !๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

Located adjacent to BEST Bus stand in Powai, itโ€™s one of the oldest pujo which has hold up the culture of Pujo just like it should be. Bhog, Anjali, Fest are held at another level of excitement and energy level is high!

Visited there on the night of Diwali and Kali pujo for Bengalis. It's a big ground where Powai Bengali community celebrates durga pujo and Kali pujo every year. This year they had organised in relatively smaller scale. Prasad was distributed over there, also there were lots of stalls to experience Jhal muri and chicken chaap of Bengal

It was a good place to visit considering many pandals refused to allow darshan. All in all it was refreshing as we could visit pandals after almost 2 years
