πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice tidy place, good food, nice service. It was overall a good experience. I had nice Chinese cuisine after a long time. It's Kolkata where you can have authentic food. And that too at a reasonable price. People often mention good, Chinese, small, visit, pork, authentic, chicken, quantity, price, noodles,

You will find this in the crowded lane of chandni chowk, but after a minute or two you will start to feel the calmness in the atmosphere with japnese jazz music and really warm ambiance. Chicken hakka noodles and Tai sen soup are a must to have. The quantity you get will be more than enough for a single hungry person. Prices are very reasonable. Chicken soup is often associated with comfort and emotional well-being. It can provide a sense of warmth and security, which can be especially comforting when you're feeling under the weather. The broth in chicken soup is hydrating and can help maintain fluid balance in your body, especially when you're feeling unwell. It's important to stay hydrated when you have a cold or flu. Chicken soup is typically made with chicken, vegetables, and sometimes noodles or rice. These ingredients provide essential nutrients such as protein, vitamins (like B vitamins), and minerals (like iron, magnesium, and potassium).

In my quest for authentic Chinese food joints, this is the latest addition! We discovered this place off the maps after the place where we were going originally was closed! How cool is that! It's a really small eating house but with AC. The indoors looked cool. Coming to the food, we had Fried Chicken Momos, Special Fries Rice, Hot Garlic Pork, and Roasted Chili Pork. The Hot Garlic Pork was just out of this world. The sauce was amazing, with hints of being both sweet and spicy. We absolutely filled ourselves here, the food was just too good! Please try this place out if you happen to be anywhere near, you'll not regret it 😊

Ordered in via Zomato. The steamed yam wontons were literally floating in one inch of oil. no flavour, very very less filling. had much better yam wontons ar other eateries like pou hing. the special soup was again definitely not special. watery with just an egg drop, little slivers of carrot and mushroom. chicken pieces were miniscule and hard to find. zero flavour or aromatics. not even salt. don't wish to order again.

Food quality, quantity: ok Ambience: ok Cost : reasonable. Seating capacity is very less, like only 4 tables are there. Dragon soup was really great, gravy rice and dry chilli pork were also good. *Went there because tungnam didn't allow us to enter at their break time🌚

I stumbled upon this place in benting street and was totally impressed by the service, food and price it offered. I had pork hakka noodles and hot garlic chicken and the food was authentic. This place is also very pocket friendly so if someone wants to try authentic chinese I would totally recommend this place.

Really enjoyed the food. The drinks came after the food which I found a bit weird. Would suggest ordering the drinks before even deciding what food to eat :/

It's a small quaint little restaurant on 4, Bentinck Street. The food is fairly good, the portions are adequate, the service is friendly. Manchow soup was good, Veg fried rice could have been more flavourful but Chilli Chicken was excellent. The pricing is in the reasonable range, so if you go with a budget of of 300/- per person, it will more than suffice. Overall we had a better than expected experience and I will be frequenting this place more for my Chinese cuisine cravings.

Lovely place with warm, wonderful people. The chilli pork was a delight! Mild, tender and cooked to perfection. Thank you, Mr. Edwin and the Tai Sen fam! Looking forward to visit again. Edit (07.12.2021): Months in, we have ordered from Tai Sen two more times already for the fam on my grandma and my father's birthdays! We have tried the braised pork with tofu and mushrooms, the roast chilli pork, steamed fish in wine with shiitake mushrooms, and steamed chilli garlic fish, along with Singapore fried rice and fortune rice with Chinese sausage. The spread has been an instant hit in my family and we all enjoyed how fresh and homely the food is. Also worth mentioning here are the birthday cards so thoughtfully tucked in along with the hot food! We felt so very special. And this personal touch and care is what, I firmly believe, forms the pinnacle of a complete dining experience.

Extremely unprofessional approach. Went with high hopes of having authentic chinese food but too disappointed. Keeping the Eating house open that's what I would say, but locking the door from inside, giving excuses of bulk order , is highly disgusting. They have the right to refuse a customer, but better keep the shutter down and prepare food for people of their own origin. If these Eating houses is more interested in serving their own people then I feel they are in a very bleak state. End is near. Harsh but true.

Small place with surprisingly good food. Service could be better and generally it looks like a Imbiss. But I had the best hakka noodles in India here.

This is my fourth visit to this place in a year and Tai Sen never ceases to amaze me! One of the best ... if not THE best ... roasted chilli pork I've ever had! However it is the warm hospitability and homely ambience that makes this hidden gem stand out amidst the uptight, corporate professionalism characterizing most premium eateries in the city. Would highly recommend this place!

The best part of this small food joint is, they offer you full and half bowl of almost every dish. The special mention for the freshly made chilli garlic red sauce.

A great place for Chinese dishes. If you are looking for affordable places to eat in and around this area, this is the place. The momos are too good and so are the Chinese dishes starting from soups, to their rice and noodles and chicken side dishes. Not to forget, their pork dishes need a special mention. Another great advantage is that you can get half plate on terms of quantity if you are alone. For two, it allows to try various dishes at the same time. Pocket Pinch for 2 will be around 400 bucks.

Tucked in a busy street , the menu of this authentic Indo-Chinese restaurant offers you minimum offerings but all good hold their separate taste. We tasted golden fried prawns which were absolutely delightful and in main course, we had chicken wanton yam noodles and Sichuan chicken. The noodles were plump, and smooth...

It was really a divine oriental feeling... And i respect the proprietor, Mr Edwin a lot. All the food ingredients were fresh, the home made sauces were outstanding and most importantly.... All dishes are available in half plate portion too. Only disadvantage is that, this eatery is closed on Sundays.

Robert or Richard is the owner. A humble and respectful person whose cuisine is a must try out. Bit expensive I must say but it's okay. Small place air conditioned. If you are on way to shopping at Bentinck Street drop in and enjoy the fabulous dishes. Excellent cook no doubt.

This is a small shop right on the main street. The food and service are amazing. The price point is mid range. We had ordered 1. Pork fried rice - 5 stars 2. Szechuan chicken hakka noodles- 5 stars 3. Chicken in spicy black bean sauce- 5 stars. They give you a loyalty card to avail free gifts on your 3rd, 6th and 10th visit as well. If you're nearby then, do visit them.

The taste is very good, even though the place is very small, the ambience is really nice and the behaviour of the staffs are very good. Overall a good Chinese experience. The price is slightly high, but acceptable

The food at Tai Sen is delicious.... the owner himself is the head chef.... Even though the food is really tasty, i feel the quantity is less for the price... otherwise, they should reduce the price slightly. I am giving 1 star less because i feel the price doesn't justify the quantity.... Recommendation: Golden fried fish Chilli garlic chicken (starter)

They are humble and genuine. Won't give you any thing that aren't fresh. They will refuse you directly if they don't have good food. Genuine authentic food. β‚Ή700 will be enough for 2 person. No so well decorative but having food there will give you a sense of eating in someone's own house.

Spent a nice evening in this eating house. Food was good and there are lots of vareities in the menu. The place is run by a Chinese family, and their service is very good. If you want to have some Chinese food in this area, you should give this place a visit.

Delicious food, reasonable price. Though the seating area was small, there was a cozy ambience and the owners were cordial. Nothing too fancy, just good old Chinese food and atmosphere. Ordered: chicken noodle soup and fried momo.

😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee.
