The Jharkhand High Court (Hindi: झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय, is one of the newest High Courts in India. It was established in 2000 under the Bihar Reorganisation Act, 2000, after the state of Jharkhand was carved out of the state of Bihar. The court has jurisdiction over Jharkhand state. The seat of the court is at Ranchi, the administrative capital of the state. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 20. The new building of Jharkhand High Court has been approved. A 165 acres land has been granted near the HEC Industrial Complex, which will used for development of High Court, Residential Complex for Judges and Lawyers Chambers. The estimated cost for the project is around Rs. 460 Crores. The complex will also have an auditorium with a 1000-seat capacity, four conference rooms, eight committee meeting halls, separate building for advocate general and government pleader. A circuit bench of the Patna High Court was established at Ranchi on 6 March 1972 under clause 36 of the letters patent of the Patna High Court. The Circuit bench became the Permanent Bench of the Patna High Court, by the High Court at Patna (Establishment of Permanent Bench at Ranchi) Act 1976 (Act 57 of 1976) on 8 April 1976. This Permanent Bench finally became the Jharkhand High Court on reorganiszation of Bihar state on 15 November 2000.

A circuit bench of the Patna High Court was established at Ranchi with effect from 6th March, 1972 under clause 36 of the Letter Patent of that High Court. The bench was established to meet the needs of the Adivasi Population of the Chota Nagpur area in erstwhile State of Bihar. The Circuit bench was made Permanent Bench of Patna High Court, by Act no. 57 of 1976, by High Court at Patna(Establishment of Permanent Bench AT Ranchi) Act 1976 with effect from 8th April 1976. The Jharkhand High Court came into existence after reorganiszation of state of Bihar in existing state of Bihar and Jharkhand on 15th November 2000.

Judicial system 😊 well judicial system of india is very well as compare to it's executive system and very highly corruption ideological ministers who claims themselves as pure as sky and that's why it is very hard to make decisions for judicial system. But our governor Mr ramesh bais make it very smooth and effective to provide well maintain system over jharkhand 😇 R. I. P for our CM he is just like garbage 👜😅

This is very beautiful and big high court. It's just nearest to me. I love to see this place.Its very interesting place. This place is always with crowd and have many shops . This place is the centre of Ranchi.

The high court may not be huge and traditional like other high courts, but it boasts of a good platform for legal professionals across the state. There is a good scope for emerging and new lawyers. However, the base and quality is not solid. Here, matters range from service laws, criminal matters, suits arising out of civil matters, company matters, public interest litigation, etc. The infrastructure is good.

Please tell that the new building of Jharkhand High Court will be amazing and unique in the country. The New Green Building of the High Court is spread over 72 acres. It is about three and a half times bigger than the Supreme Court. The main building of the Supreme Court is spread over 17 acres. The foundation stone of the new building of the High Court was laid by the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Altamas Kabir, on February 9, 2013, but the construction of the building was started from June 18, 2015. The new High Court building has been completed in eight years at a cost of about 600 crores. The construction area of ​​the new green building of the High Court is about 14 lakh square feet. Parking arrangements have been made for 2000 vehicles of lawyers and clients in the campus. On the other hand, a separate parking arrangement has been made for the vehicles of judges with membrane roof canopy. You should definitely visit the place and find in massive structure which is well planned and built to provide all kinds of facilities and services to the public. Hat's off to Jharkhand govt. and all members with whose contribution this project is carrying out.

At first it was the circuit bench of the Patna High Court established on the 6th March 1972 then it was made a permanent bench of the Patna High Court on the 8th April 1976 at the time of the united states of Bihar and Jharkhand and after reorganisation the the state of Bihar , Jharkhand came into existence on the15th of November 2000 and also the Jharkhand High Court established on the 15th of November 2000.

One of the newest high courts in India. It has a very decent infrastructure with green lushes on the campus. The environment is too busy for the high court to accommodate as the road serves as the medium to the main road.

New addition for the high courts in India. Excellent architecture also have a garden and boundary wall. I liked it. But as I have no legal issues I don't gone inside the building. But from outside it's so beautiful.
