Fee Structure And Facilities Since this is a govt institution fees are nominal. On top of its monthly stipends are also available. The fee per year was 20000 INR and the mode of payment was Demand draft. The admission is purely base on merit and there is no other way to get into IIT. Placement Wing IIT Madras is known for its best placements and internships. I have been a visiting scholar at Purdue University USA. The eligible students should register in the placement portal and interested companies. Resume shortlist, Aptitude exam followed by 2-3 rounds of interviews per company are the steps followed Hostel Facilities Yes. It is a residential college and has opted for staying. The rooms are single and it is fully furnished. The fees per semester (6 months) were around 15000 includes accommodation and food. The food is for 4 times and has a minimum of 5 items per meal. It is clean and tidy. Every hostel has it's own library, playing area, washing machine, etc. Alumni The Alumni network, students and teachers are really helpful. There is a website that's created for the Alumni wherein you could be a part of it and get various news articles, job openings, and get people to work with you. Faculty Per day, there would be 4-5 lectures and the course is for 2.5 years (till you defend your thesis and can extend up to 5 years). All the profeesors are very experienced and research-oriented. The approach of the solutions is given weightage and not just the final answer. So copying will not work here. Campus Life The male population is definitely high when compared to females. Taking about extracurricular activities, it was excellent. The courts, swimming pools, etc were international levels. Would rate is 10/10. There are various tournaments that occur in the institution which are at the college level as well as the country level. Course Curriculum Overview The course curriculum is research-based and it is divided semester wise. Research is mandatory and has more weightage than course work. The approach of choosing a problem, by doing various literature survey as well as talking to a lot of users, strategically breaking down the problem to small parts in research actually helped me alot in solving problems in my profeesion. College Events Sarang and Shaastra are the biggest cultural and tech fest of IIT Madras. It's like a country festival and participants are all over the country. All the state festivals are also being organized in the campus. Shaastra is mainly focussed on competitions like Debate, group discussions, hackathons, robotics, laser show, quizzes, etc. It invites participants from all over the country. Saarang is the cultural fest where all the famous artists all over the world perform. A lot of competitions like street dance, group dance, singing, instrumental music, bands, etc are conducted. Loan/ Scholarship Provisions All the students getting into IIT for masters will get the scholarship per month. So. I haven't opted for any loans.

Huge and beautiful campus with lots of greenery and wildlife. You can see deers crossing the roads, and monkeys everywhere. Campus is maintained clean and has good security. Vehicles should travel with restricted speed limit inside the campus. There's also bus facility available to reach different locations inside the campus. It's one of India's top most colleges.

One of the best educational institutions in India. It was an awesome experience inside the campus. It was so nice to walk around the campus and it is good atmosphere to cycling. It’s clean and neatly kept everywhere. You can see the animals where walking around the campus. There are lots of tree for providing shade. It was one of my best experiences in there.

"The Indian Institute of Madras" Formed in 1956 in the result of Indo-german agreement. This Institute is residential Institute of faculties and thousands of students and spreads over around 250 hectors attached with 'Guindy National park'. Campus is full of giant bayan trees and brilliant people.

It was a great opportunity and an amazing experience for me to visit an IIT campus for the very first time in my life. I enjoyed it a lot and made many new friends there. I came across so many new things, and so many new peoples, and explored so many new domains. It was a very great opportunity for me to go there and explore. It was only 3 days trip for me but still, I am willing to go again and again there because it's something I won't regret visiting there again and again. It was a paradox in 2022, I going to remember throughout my life. All those events there and the lectures which were conducted for us, various interaction sessions, and other activities of enjoyment in all those 3 days were amazing. For the first, I felt what is a life of an IITIAN and how they enjoy their 4-year journey. All that was amazing under the stars was the most exciting event which I enjoyed and watching the RRR movie in the open-air theatre was an amazing experience. But it was only for 3 days I wish it was for a month or more.

It is one of the oldest educational institution in India. It was governed by the ministry of Human resources developmental department. To join in this institute students get selected from JEEE. It is one among the big IIT's in India. It also has its own iso certified hospital inside the campus. Shuttle bus transportation available to and from main entrance. Almost all engineering department present under one roof. Many top engineers in country are from this institute. Top class faculties were working in this campus.

Beautiful campus with varied flora and fauna.I had Rendezvous with Deers,black bucks in their natural habitat in IIT campus. I was here for the college fest for BSc in Data science i too have enrolled Great learning experience under the mentorship of learned professors Great experience !!

One of the most beautiful college campuses in India. At this place perfect harmony and balance exists between nature and humans. Right from the deer, black buck & monkeys to the trees everything is left to its natural state. Even the dropped leaves and branches are left as such, to decompose and recycle. You ll find a lot of deer, blackbuck and monkeys roaming all around undisturbed by human presence. They even come closer to us if we call them. Lush greenery and forested campus, the morning and evening walks here are nothing less than heavenly. Well maintained campus with all necessary amenities and services.

A place that I love visiting! A mini forest it looks like and if you're lucky, you'd be greeted by deers, monkeys and some wonderful birds that you don't get to see everywhere. It's so soothing to even take a walk there.

This is the only IIT in India for amazing flora and fauna. It is a flush green campus with the wild animals like deers, black bucks and monkeys.

Good thing about IIT Madras is that it is inside the Guindy National Park. and you see a lot of deer, Black buck, Monkeys and there is also one Albeno Black Buck here and students or people live in harmony with them

All time favourite place to roam around.There is a bus available near the gate for visitors.Everyone is not allowed inside the campus .It is a mini forest can see deers lazying around.And monkeys hanging as well as bats.

Beautiful campus, very friendly people, nice environment and awesome courses offered. One of the best Institutions in India. The campus is lively and one with nature. The campus is also home to spotted deers, few black bucks and monkeys. There are also many reptiles (snakes, garden lizards, chameleons and so on), slugs and snails, insects (centipedes, millipedes, scorpions and so on) and crustaceans (mud crabs). Most of them don't bother anyone unless provoked. There are frequent buses that run through the day till late night. Hostel mess offer decent food and there are also variety of other places to eat and hang out.

One of best IIT institute in India. The faculty and professors had done a great job to design the best curriculum with dividing time to classes and extras correctly. The placement and job opportunities here at iitm are indeed excellent there is a dedicated team of students who will co-ordinate with the companies coming for placements.

They had got so well experienced professors who made the campus the prime institue of India in Engineering department.The campus is equipped with enough labs,research parks,workshops and a very beautiful and occupied library.The hostel facilities is of great standards. You cannot see it easily, because it ll run very fastly. You need to ride or drive your vehicle very slowly at 20KMPH. As we should be careful of animals crossing. We can lot of Indian Monkeys inside this campus. It's very pleasant place in the Chennai. It makes us feel we are in other world.
