The Gujarat High Court is the High Court of the state of Gujarat. It was established on 1 May 1960 under the Bombay State Re-organisation Act, 1960 after the state of Gujarat split from Bombay State. The seat of the court is Ahmedabad. The present strength of the Gujarat High court is 35 against sanctioned strength of 42. This high court was established on 1 May 1960 as a result of bifurcation of the former State of Bombay into two States of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The High Court started functioning near Akashwani, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The High Court has later shifted to the new building at Sola, Ahmedabad, from 16 January 1999.

Live telecast of courts functioning is great. But placing camera before court master is useless. Instead, the court hall or the arguing advocates may be shown in closeup so that it can be convenient to watch proceedings in mobile also. Its only a suggestion.

Parking and campus area are too huge. Not accessable for senior citizens, disabled person and pregnant women. Long runner can enjoy... Otherwise very long walking can annoyed you...

Really good place.but it is not enough because the most important part is their work.if simple case and case related any data is available ,why judgement is too late? And I want to say that a few judges are not to take any responsibility of case?why?please complete and take your responsibility.because when case has been running ,we are dying every moment . because of waiting the result.please do better.

the place is horribly designed - you are suppose to climb one flight of stairs to reach the floor e g you want to go to 2nd floor - you climb one flight enter the lift when you go out climb another flight of stairs . the architect is now given the job to design our Parliament. The number of extension buildings which have come out in 20 years would be the size of the old court!!!! There is a statue of Gandhiji in the lawns, a auditorium is next door connected and used for parking, there is post office and state bank of india branch inside the campus

At present in our criminal justice system victims who are really suffered have no voice. If accused is convicted than also victims may not get justice as they have lost their breadwinner. So they are entitled for victims compensation.prosecution must request to the court for victims compensation. Which is not practice at present. It is experienced that in motor accidents claim cases most of the claimants are migrating daily wagers.so when time comes for actual payment of compensation they are not traceable. Even their lawer can't trace them. We must find out some system by which compensation will reach to real sufferers please pursue my PIL no 131/19 of Gujarat high courtwe must pay compensation to victims of crimes so victims and witnesses will take interest in court proceedings. It's my humble request to all respect judges to at least give reasons for not awarding victims compensation. In gujarat there are more than hundred motor accidents claim tribunals are functional. Daily crores of rupees are being deposited into MACT by insurance companies. Same is the situation in the court of workmen compensation commissioners. In Both cases most of the claimants are migrating daily laborers who are not traceable so we must evolve some system to trace out claimants and pay compensation to victims and do needful in this matter. hundreds of m

Live Telecast of HC proceeding are boon to litigants, advocates and law students. Request to standardise placement of cameras in each court room and display format. This will make view of the Hon'ble bench, court master and court room comfortable. Many times, voice of Hon'ble judge(s), court master or advocates pleading in not audible. This may be improved. This are minor issues and may be addressed.

It is very good place. A well maintained garden and airy space. It is feeling of going to high court when you enter into premises. Ample space for parking of four wheelers. It is visible from main road.

Gujarat Highcourt at Sola is constructed by highcourt Division, Roads and Buildings department. Earlier Gujarat Highcourt was working in Ashram road building. Around 32 courts are there. Campus is very nice. This building is well maintained. There is Kayadabhavan, GP office, AGP Office in the campus. There is a canteen for visitors.

Such a beautiful place for advocates to argue and feel free to enjoy the atmosphere. The place makes an advocate comfortable to argue well.

Very difficult to find out your court place.

  • 4/5 Mahendra S. 7 months ago on Google
Very good building , though no one would wish to reach here in legal cases but if you are here, you would see modern infrastructure. Though the service desk inside the building can be better , finding the right court for novice is difficult, only lawyers and that too experienced lawyers know where to go for your case.
