It was a great pleasure to have the 80th birthday celebration at Hobbits. Everything was perfect, especially the cake, and the decorations were very thoughtful.The food was excellent and the overall cost was reasonable. Special thanks to Mr Vinoth for helping to coordinate the event from the very beginning. It is definitely the right place for a memorable event.

A very good place to have food if you are on your way to Catherine Waterfalls. The ambience and location is just fantastic!! Very good setup for a restaurant. They also have some camping setups and a turf for playing football. It is located in a very peaceful location from where you get marvelous views. Food wise options are limited, but whatever they have is very nice and the portion size is good. Lunch and Dinner both are available. They also do home delivery in the nearby areas. Definitely a place to spend time to relax and have some good food.

We spent almost two days in this sunset camp. It was very nice experience. Tasty food, Military grade camp, good hospitality,Trekking to Catherine falls was thrill experience.

Awesome place to eat. Nice food nice atmosphere. The main attraction is the view. It has large windows. You can have awesome view while eating. Washrooms are neat and clean. Food preparation time is more which can be compensated by the view. They have tent type of accommodation. Overall a nice experience. Try the chocolate brownie with icecream and mint mohito.

This one beautiful cafe in Aravenu, Kotagiri is your go to place for good food and amazing vibe ! Hospitality of the host is just incredible. Don’t miss to visit if you’re around !

Very poor service and quality of food. The paneer was spoilt and half the dishes tasted off. What's worse is more than half of our group ended up with food poisoning.

Terrible experience, we actually had to wait for1 hour30 minutes for our food to come. Reached at1. 00pm but got food at2. 30..No exaggeration.. We were a family with small children.. All were crying and hungry.. Wish they had warned us..

The starters were good but apart from that nothing was good. I found insect in my biriyani, the momos were not cooked properly and it's expensive for this food. Not worth a penny.

A beautiful themed restaurant facing the hill, The staffs are kind & greeting everyone with a smile.The owner was also around interacting with the customers and taking feedbacks ,which is a good gesture. Positives- Brownies are good, food as a whole is good enough for the cost. Negatives-Expect a little longer waiting time,

We were a pack of 6 who were hungry and reached with a hope of having South Indian meals. But it wasn't available as we were late. The owner came to us and asked us to wait for 30 mins and got the food ready. The hospitality , the food , the ambience .. probably the best ever place one can visit in and around ooty. One amazing memory !

We stayed at this place very recently and we had lovely memorable time to cherish for life ..they have a camping area with tents provided along with bonfire at night with some delicious food served at your request... amazingly generous hospitality by the whole team and special mention to Vinod, who is the manager and provided everything we asked with a smiling face..Kudos to the whole team providing such great hospitality and at a reasonable price too, which is lost in many in the recent times. In short a must stay place to connect to nature and rejuvenate one.

We went for dinner and had both veg and non veg food. The food was delicious and served hot. We liked the food very much. The ambiance was good, quiet and attractive. They also have tend stay and extra activities like trekking, bird watch, camp fire, cycling on request for guest staying there at extra cost.

Well, Hobbit opened around eight months back on Kotagiri-Metupalayam road. Good Points: The property overlooks the valley and provides good view of sunrise and sunset. The place has been aesthetically designed, decorated and maintained. They also provide night camping facility with pup tents, futsal playing area, swing and all. Improvement required: The service at the restaurant is very slow, its understaffed/ not being supervised efficiently. Menu can be with good options, however, I can understand that unless a steady flow of guests is there..maintaining a wide array of dishes is unprofitable. More signboards can be placed at main roads.

Great location. Lovely surroundings, not to mention great food quality. We ordered chicken nuggets, onion pakoda and coffees. Good value. They need to add more to snacks, there weren't enough. But you will be spell bound by the location and cleanliness. They have got the architecture right with ample light and space.

You can plan a family dinner here. You will resemble to this place if you have watched lord of the ring movie. I loved that movie so I really loved the overall experience you get here.

This is one of our go to restaurant in Ooty ! Pleasant ambience, you will get beautiful view with great food, every dish is best here. Cannot specify one particular, my favourite would be garlic paneer and chilli chicken. They maintain the standard and great service ! Keep up you guys !

Must visit place to stay for a weekend in a tent stay. They took us for a waterfall trekking which was really amazing and we had thrilling experience. The owner and the staffs were so welcoming and always approachable with a big smile. We were served with good hot meals.

Been visiting hobbit gardens for 4th time. Well maintained, home made like food, beautiful and peaceful view. Must visit place.

Friendly staffs and great food for reasonable prices. Must go spot for friends with 1-2 days trip plans. Location is also nice with hill view.

Beautiful place. They serve vegan food on order. We had sweet and sour veg soup, Gobi 65, phulkas, vegan lacha paratha, vegan tadka dal, vegan Thai yellow curry, jeera rice and lime and mint cooler. Really delicious! And it was great to meet our host, Mr Saravanan, and interact with him. Staff are also friendly and polite. Will definitely recommend the place to friends.

Best place for camping in the whole kotagiri without any doubt goes to sunset camps. Best service interms of food , hospitality, cleanliness and safety. They provide the best miltary grade all weather tents there is and sleeping bags to keep u warm and cozy in the middle of nowhere. Must visit place. Cheers NK!

Lovely little joint on a hill side corner. The staff is very nice and greets with a lovely warm smile. They're still working on the menu as it needs more variety but everything served tasted awesome.

A big shout out to Mr.Saravanan and his wonderful staffs who hosted us at sunset camping last weekend.. 1. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable specially b cos they took all efforts to make us feel comfortable (young kids.. teenagers and our dogs- all of them were given equal importance ) 2. Food was homely and tasty.. they also have a cafe menu which the kids thoroughly enjoyed 3. Saravanan took great care to make sure we felt pampered to say the least.. their hospitality was commendable 4. Chai and verki is to die for 😀 (which by the way they can courier if we are buying a certain quantity) 5. Property is spacious.. super green and soooo damn close to nature with very clean restrooms We are surely going back to this home away from our home.. 👍

Beautiful location, food needs serious improvement. Food quality at the moment doesn’t justify the prices. The momos (both chicken and veg) were over cooked. The hot and sour soup tasted like instant Knorr soup.

It was raining and all restaurants listed in Zomato weren't delivering due to heavy rain. Came across this restaurant online.. ordered chicken biryani,C.fried rice and a pepper chicken gravy.. they delivered inspite of the bad weather. Although slightly expensive when compared to the Kotagiri area,given the quality and quantity ..I would say it was worth it.. will definitely recommend ( Sry .no photos coz we were too hungry to click).

A calm and quiet place inside tea estates. The place had ample parking space and the whole atmosphere was great. It's kid friendly too, they had chess table, a coloring pad with crayons and a cricket court. The food was okay-ish. Taste was not great but not bad either, kinda spicy to be precise. Had neat restrooms. Overall a nice place to have dinner if you're going without any expectations.

Surprise , surprise... I didn't expect this cozy place where your eyes treated with beautiful sunset view, taste buds treated with flavors, hear canal tempted with mild classical music, touch of warm food , aroma of food brings back memories and sensibly placed art which visually treats you.. the rest room are clean, the service are good.. overall best experience.. worth the money..

Stopped by here at their cafe while on the way to Catherine Waterfalls. Staffs were courteous. Especially Mr.Saravanan, the owner of the property, was so friendly. After we ordered our food, he took us on a tour to show the camp setup and outdoor game area. The camps are pretty big and can accomodate upto 6 people. One gets to watch pleasant view of valleys from the camp area. This place is also apt for workation. Clean restrooms are available.

We were excited to learn about a new place in town. Lots of parking with a gorgeous view. The inside is spacious and cozy at the same time. Same owners as Silvertip Café so you know the snacks are great! Apparently their non-veg tandoor is excellent too, we’ll have to come back for that! The staff were kind, helpful and professional. The bathrooms are also spacious and super clean.

This place literally ruined new year for us . Am not sure how this place has earned its 4.4 star. When we went there all seats were occupied, we were asked to wait for 30 minutes. A genuine request ? We also fell for that... They took our order and after waiting for 45 odd minutes , we finally got the seat. And during this time 4-5 more families came. Then the nightmare started. One by one all of them started getting food and we were asked to wait. The other families completed their food and they left the place as well and we are still waiting to have our first bite. Finally we got 2 starters, which finally felt a relief but then we got a reality check of the place when the 2nd family also finished their lunch and left. And we were still with those 2 starters waiting for other portion of our order. When we questioned, they replied saying that you orders starters and the others ordered main course first and then starters. Once main course is served they will complete the table order first hence they prefered to serve the other table than ours. So finally post wasting 2 hours we left the place empty stomach(with 2 five year old ones) They might make money but whats the point of such money making if you are OK to send back customers empty stomach who helps you get your daily bread. Pathetic service.

This place looks stunning with the views and Camp site is spectacular. I am just back 2 days ago and already want to visit again :) Cafe: Classy experience, reminded me of Rasta Cafe in Bangalore, but imagine such a class in such a beautiful location is a boon for visitors. Chocolates: Are all made from Coco and not from Chocolate slabs, the flavor is original and outstanding. Varkey - The varkey biscuit tastes so much different that the usual Ooty Varkey, for the modest reason that its made out of Jaggery & not sugar. Tea, Cake, Pastries - are all In-house products, made with complete dedication & passion Camp Site: As mentioned above, the tents are spacious, warm, well ventilated, protected from rains. Above all, the views from the camp site or the tents are excellent and perfect to suit the weather. The staffs are warm and welcoming and the host/Owner of this place Mr. NK, is a very friendly person. He will ensure you are 100% satisfied with the experience from this place, its not just about the stay & food, there's lots that he can offer. Indoor activities, visit to a nearby Tea Factory etc. Would love to visit this place again very soon...
