If you are a tourist coming here after visiting Darjeeling Ropeway and expecting it to be even better then you are totally wrong...I am not saying it's very bad but it doesn't worth the money it's owner charges for ... It's a very very short ride just a fro and back and that's it ... Charging more than ruppes 100 is unacceptable...I believe that Sikkim Tourism must focus on this to make tourist visit a more memorable one ..

One of the most stunning tourist attractions in the charismatic hill-station of Gangtok. The ropeway functions only for tourism purpose & not for transportation purpose. It's a return ride and you can enjoy some captivating views of the entire town and the surrounding Himalayan range on a clear day. The condition of the cable cars is quite good. Recommended. 👍🏻

Unfortunately the rope way was closed due to annual maintainance when I was visited in November, rope way every year close between November and December due maintainance if u wish to visit here avoid these months the cost of ropeway per person is Rs 100

A very very short ride for 120 bucks. The view from the car is very beautiful. You can get a glimpse of how wonderful and pure the nature is around Gangtok. You could also see the main parts of the city and roadways. The down part is we need to stand in the car. Also, I feel its congested as they board nearly 12 to 15 people at a time.

Really nice view. The place has a charm in the clear weather. You you'll have a magnificent view of the magnificent gangtok city and surroundings. However, in the foggy weather you'll have a different beauty completely in the clouds. Ticket price is a bit high considering the trip is pretty short. Otherwise it was a five star trip.

Very old building. There's very little sense of safety. There are only 2 cable cars the doors of which are operated manually. Also they run it overcrowded and because of that you do not get to see the views properly.

It is the one of the best place in sikkim ... You see overall view of deorali town .... I  recommend you to visit this place...

The 800m Gangtok Ropeway running just near and above the National Highway offers a wonderful view to visitors. The busy city road, wonderful landscape around and high mountains are visible from above. It's a half an hour activity if not much crowded. Recommended to visitors.

Probably the coolest thing to do in gangtok. The panoramic view covers the entire city of gangtok. It is amazingly beautiful.

City view ropeway... They do accept the cards for billing. Don't expect much from the ropeway. Most of the ripeways that you might have traveled must have provided the view of the mountains/lakes etc. But this is a different kind of ropeway that gives the view of the city. It is built above the Gangtok city and takes you over the city and with the side view of the mountains. You can visit the Tibetilogy Institute and the monastery along with the ropeway. The parking is ample spaced but gets difficult to get a spot during peak timiings..

A good experience to have when you visit Gangtok. You get a birdseye view of Gangtok from up above. For the price you get a to and fro ride in the ropeway.

Disappointed.. the wait for tickets is around an hour and the ride is for just 10 minutes .. Around 20 people in a cable car .. feels more like a public transport.

It is a good experience in the cable car getting the view of the mountains and the city while moving.

Spectacular view of the entire city in this ropeway. It closes at 5pm so make sure u get in time as there will be long queue.

Only visit in no option situation, because very worst behavior of ticket councellor. Risk is almost 50 - 50 , it depends on you but very short distance about 800mts each side. Price is chippest as other services in gangtok as well as Sikkim. But there is no seat so you can explore in it by standing, 20 people's capacity at a time. Affordable Price -- Children under 5 years - less than ₹100 and Above 5 years of age is ₹130 only. Like this review if you find usefull😇
