CIA is an example of how the airports can do well in green practices. I think Cochin airport must be one of those airports, not only in India but all over the world, which uses solar power extensively. One can see those rows of solar panels while landing or taking off.

The CIAL Solar Power Project is a 40 megawatt photovoltaic power station built at COK airport, India, by the company Cochin International Airport Limited. Cochin International Airport became the first fully solar powered airport in the world with the commissioning the plant.

Best Airport for Domestic terminal with Best amenities. Clean and neat with highly secured. Overall good quality of washrooms and waiting area as chairs was also comfortable. Parking is available for 7 minutes and after that there are charges if you stay more than that. Before sending luggage bags to luggage cabin, please ensure you have valid materials to take inside the plane along with your bag else that will get removed and can't be handed over to you again by security. I have added photos for what things you can carry with you in plane and what not. But overall good experience with this airport.

In 2015, Cochin International Airport became the world's first fully solar powered airport with the inauguration of a dedicated solar plant. For this entrepreneurial vision, the airport won the coveted Champion of the Earth award in 2018, the highest environmental honour instituted by the United Nations.

It is the busiest and largest airport in the state of Kerala and 4th biggest airport in South India.[5] As of 2019, the Cochin International Airport caters to 61.8% of the total air passenger movement in Kerala.[6] It is the third busiest airport in India in terms of international traffic[7] and also tenth busiest overall. In fiscal year 2018–19, the airport handled more than 10.2 million passengers with a total of 71,871 aircraft movements.
