    Mahi Bajaj Sagar Dam is a dam across the Mahi River. It is situated 16 kilometres from Banswara town in Banswara district Rajasthan, India. The dam was constructed between 1972 and 1983 for the purposes of hydroelectric power generation and water supply. It is the second largest dam in Rajasthan. It is named after Jamnalal Bajaj.

    👉It is very big reservoir 👉It is in banswara district 👉Survey of this dam is started in 1953 👉Work started in 1973 👉Work completed in 1983 👉Tota catchment area of this dam= 6149sqkm( Rajsthan=1515sqkm, madhya pradesh=4634sqkm) 👉Maximum water level =281m 👉Two main canal off take from their 👉It regulated by government of 3 state (Rajsthan, Gujarat,Madhya Pradesh)

    Very long dam of rajasthan and one of the biggest in Rajasthan. The reservoir is too large to cover great part of Banswara district.

    Rajasthan's second largest dam. View is stunning in rainy season. It creates microeconimy in season. Holds water for 3 years of local water supply

    It is a good destination for weekend trips.. A massive dam.. An equally expansive backwater lake.. If you happen to visit during the monsoon and the dam doors are open, the sight is spectacular.. The enormous amount of water gushing out of the gates is a thrilling sight..

    It is biggest dam of southern Rajasthan. It is life of Banswaras farmer because they get water for irrigation from this. When it files fully and gate opens awesome scene makes. It have 16 drainage. And the capacity is 283.8 mt. It is 15 km far from banswara. Two canals saprates from it for irrigation.
