It's a place of cemetery. It is one of the famous place in Murshidabad. The cemetery has a beautiful garden. And owing to its location on the bank of the Bhagirathi River. The garden cemetery was built by the first nawab of west bengal, Nawab Alivardi Khan. Local people called this place 'Sirajer Samadhi'.. From Murshidabad you can visit Khosbagh. There is many burials. Lutfunnisa Begum, Alivardi Khan, Amina Begum, Ghaseti Begum, Siraj Ud-Daulah etc. Siraj and his family members, and loyal friends were all killed and all were buried here in Khosbag. Here the nature also seems to be stagnant in sorrow. To witness all these historical events, must visit this tomb in Murshidabad. It is My favorite place.

The garden-cemetery was built by the first Nawab of Bengal, Nawab Alivardi Khan. It consists of walled enclosures. The outer walls had looped holes for musketry and used to be flanked by octagonal bastions. Jafar was restored as the Nawab in 1763 with the support of the company. Mir Qasim, however, refused to accept this and went to war against the company. Jafar ruled until his death on 5 February 1765 and lies buried at the Jafarganj Cemetery in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Khushbagh (also spelled as Khoshbagh; literally "Garden of Happiness") is the garden-cemetery of the Nawabs of Bengal, situated on the west bank of the Hooghly river, about a mile from its east bank, in the Murshidabad-Jiaganj CD block in Lalbag subdivision of Murshidabad district, West Bengal, India. Khushbagh hosts the graves of the Nawabs of Bengal of the Afshar dynasty and their family members; while Jafarganj Cemetery hosts the graves of the later Nawabs and their families, starting from Mir Jafar, who belonged to the Najafi dynasty. Khushbagh is the resting place of Nawab Siraj ud-Daulah, his wife Lutf-un-nisa, Nawab Alivardi Khan, and his mother, amongst others.

The beautiful, Khosh Bagh lies on the opposite banks of Bhagirathi. It is actually a cemetery. The grave of Nawab Alivardi Khan, along with Alivardi's Mother, Siraj-ud-Doula and his wife Lutfannesha and other members of the Nawab family lived here. The Khosh Bagh cemetery is built over 7.65 acres of land. A must visiting place in Murshidabad.

The final resting place of the last independent Nawab of Bengal, Siraj ud-Daulah and his family members. Built by his grand father (maternal) Nawab Alivardi Khan, this park is a must visit if you are touring Murshidabad. The complex is very well maintained by ASI.

Khosh = happiness, bag = garden ---> garden of happiness carries the saddest story of Murshidabad. This is where one can finf the tombs of nawab Siraz and his family and his near and dear ones. The guides here are non demanding - they describe each tomb with care and the brutal story of how they were killed. On the opposite bank of bhagirathi, amidst the beautiful garden of roses - this story will surely make your heart heavy
