Gou swarga is basically a gou shala which is run and maintained by bankuli matha. Bankuli matha which is in siddapura is a branch of shri ramachandrapura matha. Gou swarga has some 600+ cows (at this time) of some 20+ breeds. Here cows are left free in a compounded area. There is a pond in the middle of the area which is used to do gangarati for cows. Place is well maintained. Feels peaceful and relaxing. A must visit when you are in siddapura.

It is worth to visit this place which is giving shelter to more than 700 cows. As the name says it all, it refers purely to heaven. This place is mainly for Indian breed cows. We can see almost all breeds of desi cows. Children can enjoy at this place to the fullest. Being surrounded by nature full of greenery and by cows, birds chirping, wow, it definitely gives a divine feel.

Gou Swarga is a shelter for thousands of Desi cows. Cows are not tied here which makes this place special. These cows are in a protected and clean environment along with sufficient food. It is located in a calm place. Must visit at least once in a lifetime. Stay is available but please check for the availability before going. The rooms are very good. 24*7 Hot water is available. They provide enough blankets for the cold weather. The room is located outside the goshale. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner is available in the matha. Parking facilities available. The staff are very friendly and the place gives a home-like feeling. Nearby visiting places: Unchalli falls, Burude falls, Yana, Sirsi, Sahasralinga etc. If you love animals and nature, it's definitely the best place to relax from a daily routine.

Must visit. Valuable time was spent with different breeds of cattle. Purchased and fed them with Gougrasa ( special food of cattle). Flowers, vegetation and atmosphere are worth the visit. No entry fee.

Gow Swarga is heaven literally. Beautifully maintained and huge establishment. There are nearly 15 varities of cows. You can feed them animal food that is a mixture of sugarcane pieces, green grass and hay. The place is clean and peaceful. You can even see cows that are 9 feet in height. Kids will love it. They can feed and pamper them too

The best place in Karnataka to experience the divine delight of Gou Rakshane and Gou Seva. The staff at Gouswarga are extremely polite and visitor friendly. Food is free and tastier. Salute to Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamyji for this noble initiative. This model should be replicated in all Districts to save our native cow breeds.

Gouswarga is an initiative born out of compassion and love for desi cows. Here you can see variety of cow breeds from all over the country. They are preserving rare breeds which are in verge of extinction and also taking care of ill cows by adapting them. Their effort to run this service is really commendable.

Words are limited to admire this wonderful place, thousands of indigenous cows are served , that to without tie.. Shelter for desi cows. Wow such an amazing concept. Nicely built. Well maintained, workers are friendly. And hygiene is first preference. A must visit place. Never miss, do visit. At least once in your lifetime. Lovely place. If your planning for trip to uttar Kannada or joga falls, then do visit to this place as it is nearby place.

I visited this place during October-2019 after visiting Jog-falls. It's a Gou-Shaala like never before. It's a place where Indian Desi Cows are protected. It was so pleasing to see a place where the cows are not tied, they enjoy their freedom to move around in a large area and choose whether they want the Sun or the shades. new born calfs are not separated from their mothers, and they have the first right over the milk. I got to know from the people here that the Milk is not considered as primary source of revenue. cow-dung and urine is used to create value added products and to generate revenue. I enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the cows and the bulls (but please don't feed the cows anything without the permission from the people in-charge). you can sit and relax in the middle of the Gow-Shaala near the pond. And don't forget to enjoy the delicious Desi cow Milk at the counter. If you are an Indian Desi cow lover, then you can not miss this place from your trip plan.
