At starting it was a metre-gauge line. But in 1992 it converted into broad gauge. The present building towards city side was constructed in 1995 during the regime of Kalpnath Rai as a Cabinet Minister in Indian Government. The building is just like copy of Varanasi Junction.

Beautiful railway station almost all trains stoppege here. One incident was happen with me in August 2016 when I buying general ticket my purse is stolen by someone I kept my purse in my back pocket of my Jeans pant. So I request please aware of thiefs. In my purse important documents and 2500 rupees. And many more important documents.

Mau junction is a very good and reachable place for everyone. This station has all facilities like crax fast food and related to washroom .

This is my hometown And how can I disappointing to this place.. I love this district... And the Mau junction Is best .. It has many facilities to serve their passengers.. Now it's progress on new facility..

I would call it a decent n clean railway station. Have loads of parking space available and highly green area outside of the railway station. You also have the paid parking just in case if you want to ensure the vehicle is safe. Though it's not a big railway station, it has only 3 platforms but being managed nicely. The one thing which was concerning is the SECURITY, I didn't find any metal detector or officials to have a proper security check done. The restroom is inside of the railway station P1 and being managed nicely was neat and clean. I felt the absence of a porter (Koolie)

Very neat and clean railway station.WiFi is available. Connectivity of cities from this railway station is bad. Decent environment. No AC waiting room. No dormitory/retiring rooms available. Ticket vending machine is also available. Rickshaw/Auto's are available outside the station.

Mau Station, very clean premises. Place is less crowded than other similar stations. Ticket counter is close to the entrance. Beverages are easily available on the station but there is no food shop or fast food shop that is quite uncommon on such a big Station. But overall nice place. Also bus stand is just 700 meters away. Transportation is quite cheap and affordable.

Good station to get on with any of the train all over the location...
