In one word - Absolutely delicious. We visited Majghar on Saturday, 20th August 2022 for lunch. My sister-in-law who lives abroad does not get authentic Malvani dishes so we have been trying out a lot of places lately to satisfy her taste buds that’s when we bumped into this place through google. The host Rahul, was very courteous and warm and kind enough to follow up and accommodate us even though we were late due to traffic. Coming to the food: We tried Pomfret Thali, King Fish thali, Chicken thali, Crab Masala and Prawns Fry. The quality and quantity of food was absolutely on point. Everything was freshly prepared and served. Fish was fresh and the portion size was also good compared to other restaurants. The Sol Kadi was to die for, we ended up having extra glasses each. All in all, 5+ stars for food - taste, quality quantity, ambience, cleanliness and customer service. A must try recommendation.

My Mom & Dad came from Bengal to visit me and I wanted to give them best experience of Maratha. Thanks a million to Majghar, my parents loved the Food and cosy atmosphere. One of the best seafood experiences we've had in Thane! A very simple place with delicious home made Malvani food. We tried all three of their Thalis, chicken, prawns and fish and all three of them were really goood! Super delicious food at very affordable prices. Will definitely look forward to visiting again.

Fabulous dining experience at Majghar. Small approx 16 person dinner. Decor is quaint and nice with a small outdoor space as well Their food is just AWESOME. Super fresh prawns and bombay ducks. We tried their prawns masala which was super juicy and flavoursome The fried bombil was just wonderful as it was done exactly the same way as we have at home. Spiced well and fried crisp. Their mutton Tawa masala was also very nice and tasty but mutton lacked that fall off the bone softness and quality. To finish off with Sol kadi which was a bit fermented tasted a bit stale.. Joint is a bit over priced for the Base quality of food served there. Simple Tawa chapati is 30 bucks.. exorbitant Service is very nice with very friendly staff Recommended if one likes sea food.

Had chicken sukka with vade and it was delicious. This is small eatery is good in taste. The owner is very polite and give very prompt service. If you live near Hiranandani this place is must try. The food is affordable as well. They have a very good menu with fish as well. Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambience 3/5

Eating at Majghar was a truly great experience. Excellent interior and atmosphere.The good news is that parking outside is simple to come by. Since I come from the coastal region of Malwan, I had slightly higher expectations for the seafood, and they exceeded them. The seafood was delicious and fresh. We placed orders for crab thali, surmai thali, prawn thali, and prawn fry. Each thali has a distinct flavor. The owner was incredibly kind and genuinely interested in our thoughts. Thanks..

Recently visited majghar, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience.The decor a blend of traditional and contemporary elements. The use of wooden accents and earthy tones adds a touch of rustic charm. Coming to food; The Crab Thali was an absolute delight! The flavors were rich, the spices well-balanced, and the crab itself was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful journey of textures and aromas that left me craving for more. Equally impressive was the Prawns Thali, which showcased the freshness and succulence of the prawns. One of the highlights was indulging in the refreshing Solkadi. This traditional Konkan beverage had a goan style of solkadi taste and very unique to what i tasted around here. was a perfect accompaniment to the flavorful seafood. The prices were reasonable, considering the high quality of ingredients and the impeccable taste. With its warm ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering dishes, Majghar Thane has earned its place as a must-visit restaurant for seafood aficionados

Great food and food packaging. Complete satisfaction. We ordered 3 Thalis and they just too good. Packing was in spill proof containers. With label on top. Suggest to put label on fry package aluminium foil too. Loved it will definitely order again. Order to delivery experience was too good. Suggest to order at least hour plus before to have timely delivery. Becoz if you order too many items it's going to take time. Most payment options are available. We will try dine in next time.

It's a best restaurant for serving sea food, non-veg dishes. The liquor is also available. Vegetarian dishes are also there. It's just that the frequency of visitors are few and far between. You will hardly get any desserts except Ice-cream. The ambiance was quite good. The waiters are genial. The charges during the weekdays day are moderate and not so expensive.The parking lot is available outside the Hotel. The quality of the food is fine.

Yesterday went to have dinner in Thane Majghar Restaurant in Panchpakhadi near Satranj wafers along with the family. Atmosphere and ambience was good. we ordered Bombil Fry for starter. but it was too oily. it served only 4 pcs. and cost of the dish was very high. for main course I ordered Halwa Thali. I was expecting the thali cost at around @400-450. but to my Surprise it was Rs.700. The Thali was containing fry Halwa. 2 different types of Grevy , one solkadi, 2 Bhakri and 1 bowl of rice. There was no pieces in the gravy. and both the graves was taste less. Fry Halwa was not Fresh. I also ordered one fry Surmai and it was costed one piece for 500. Normally in Thane Most of the restaurant charges Surmai Thali between 400-500 as per standard. but here only one piece they charged Rs.500/- which was very costly. also test was not authentic. will definately not visit again and will not recommend to others.

We had an awesome chicken thali and pomfret thali. Anyone craving authentic Malvani food, 'MajGhar' is the place to satiate your taste buds. Highly recommend this place.

The food quality is good. Pure authentic malvani style fish food you will find over here. The taste is superb. We ordered Surmai Thali and prawns fry both were too good to taste. Also solkadhi and gulab jaamun was equally good.

After seeing the amazing ambiance our only question was if the food was also as great, and the answer was a resounding yes!

I had visited this restaurant for dinner. Ordered sp. chicken thali and sp. pomfret thali. The food was amazingly delicious and super tasty. I just loved it, will definitely visit again. Thank you 😊

Went with my kids and wife to try new authentic malvani fish food resto and found MaajGhar near by. We loved the taste of Surmai Thali and Pomfret Thali with starter of Shrimp. In both the Thali's Fish Size is so big, tws too delicious, satisfied with to food quality and quantity. Lunch ended with Perfect taste of Solkadhi. Highly recommend for non veg lovers.

13 of us visiting Thane for work happened to land opposite MajGhar, by chance. The food that arrived at our tables was worth the half an hour wait. Simple but lickilicious chicken curry, succulent chicken sukka cooked in fresh ingredients along with soft bhakri made my day. The sole kadhi uplifted our tired souls. 'Fresh' is the word all of us used to describe our food. Dont expect anything fancy. But expect a good host in Rahul and simple good food. Oh, and our vegetarians didn't have much choice at lunch but were satisfied.

One of the best places to go to for maharashtrian food. Mutton sukkha, surmai thali are just awesome. Mr. Bhavesh and Mr Rahul are great at hospitality. They made sure my baby is entertained. Ambiance is to the point and food quality is superior. Highly recommended.

Food quality is good malvani spice and taste is recognizable, quantity is ok, price wise its expensive. interior is modern. roadside parking available.

Please do not confuse this with the Lalbaug branch. Visited last Saturday with my family. We did not like the food. Fish was not fresh and also the Vada was not the malvani style. Sorry to say but not visiting again!! If you have any doubt about our visit, Here are the things we ordered. 2 surmai sp thali, 1 sp pompfret thali, Vada and solkadi extra. Please check your system as we visited on Saturday 10th June 9.30 PM. Table for 5. I even spoke to you personally about food quality and your background so this is not expected from the Owner who doubts our visit. And about authenticity we are also from Malvan so Mr Verma( owner) should be the last one lecturing us on cuisines and authenticity and learn constructive criticism. And about top class service it is not true. Please do not mislead.!!! Disppointed but Good luck for your future.

Visited the place looking at the ratings and reviews. The owner is friendly. We requested to make the Chicken Sukha bit spicy though not too much but was not reflected in the dish. Somehow the flavours were missing. May be today was not our day...
