Most beautiful institute in North India. Infrastructure is really good. Campus is spread across 320 acres located on hilly terrain surrounded by pine trees. Campus is situated 4 km from Hamirpur bus-stand. Yearwise separate hostels for boys and girls. Some hostels are 3-bedded, 2-bedded and singlet for final year students. Student Park, Ground, Cafeteria, Health Centre etc. are available. It is one of the 31 NITs in India. It offers undergraduate, graduate and doctorate studies in various fields of architecture, engineering, sciences and humanities.

College is good, the only issue that we found was that 1st year girl students are not getting rooms with less than 7 seater which make things difficult. Waiting for what is there next(mess/academics/placements) which we will get to know with experience.

Campus is quite beautiful because of its location. Infrastructure is awesome and u have to shred some sweat while going from one department to another. The lab i have visited are non air conditioned and rest i dont know. U will surely enjoy the beautiful scenery while your academic session completes. Also transiting is quite terrible in case u need to go in emergency. Overall good NIT.

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, also known as NITH, is a public technical university that can be found in Hamirpur, which is located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the thirty-one National Institutes of Technology that have been founded, and the MHRD is responsible for its administration and funding. It has been deemed the best NIT in all of India by the MHRD. NIT Hamirpur provides a comprehensive education for students interested in pursuing studies at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in a variety of disciplines, including architecture, engineering, pure sciences, and the humanities. The campus of the institute may be found in the Hamirpur region of Himachal Pradesh, India, at an elevation that is 900 metres above the level of the sea. The Kangra airport is the closest airport to the location at a distance of 86.9 kilometres. The site has convenient access to both public transportation and taxi services. Due to the fact that this is a residential campus, there are a total of eight boys' dormitories and four girls' hostels, in addition to houses for the teaching staff and administrative personnel. How is NIT Hamirpur in terms of Academics and Campus life? Best in Infrastructure. You will never regret your choice if you love natural beauty. Pros:- 2nd best in Infrastructure. Good environment for study. Very good placement except civil (same in IITs also) Very humble, honest and nice local people. Himachali friend will be assset for tour guide. Good culture Library, hostel, lecture hall etc are of international standard. If you want to go for government service there will be ample time to prepare. Excellent extra curricular activities. If you are north Indian then you will love food. Almost all faculty are Phd holder except contract based faculty. Good student Then bro which is the best campus of nit in terms of infrastructure What are some of the things that a freshman needs to know when they enter into NIT Hamirpur? It's not the end of the world that you didn't get into an IIT or IIIT. It's time we really start devaluing the over hyping of these institutes. Take it as a challenge to rise up to meet your expectations that stand out of your comfort zone. Before that, make commitments that fall out of your comfort zone. Imagine if there were no imaginations and aspirations at all, will we still be past the stone age? Help make this institute what any IIT is not. That is what will count, not your no solution providing criticism about the lack. You have to interact with the seniors. Otherwise, there will no be alumni network, and with no alumni network, your batch will suffer in the campus placements, or for that matter, many valuable advises that could have come your way and saved you a big deal of time, effort, and in many cases money, would not be there. Spoiler Alert : First year is the only year which is hitherto unaware of the degrading standards of the teaching. Since if you are reading this answer, it would no longer be a surprise when you actually see so. Take up this broken surprise to ask doubts in the classes right from the first year, without thinking what might others think, let alone teacher. First rule of action when a doubt arises :
