It is a good place to go for a short hike. Hike might take from 45min to 1.5hrs depending on the physical condition. The hike starts at the temple and the way to the mountain-top is to the right where the stair-way ends at the temple. Most of the hike is safe only the top stairs are little tough to climb but the railing helps. Morning time is the best and best time is from December to March if want to see the sunrise. In summer it is mostly cloudy and misty up there. Parking is paid (30rs) and enough parking is available by the pond which in the front of the temple. There are tea and snacks shop available all the way.

Fantastic and fantabulous are under stated word for this place. A quick getaway to this hill from Bangalore will really kill some good time and for trekkers - it would be a paradise to walk. Go ahead for your trek, visit the shrine at this hill - Shivagange. Carry water while climbing up the hill. You can wear footwear and climb up the hill, but be sure not to wear inside the temple which is not allowed. Adding few snaps, take a look ;)

Religion and adventure co-existing together, that is Shivagange. The mountain peak provides a huge adrenalin rush to the adventure seekers. The mountain is ideal for rock climbing. The man-made steps to the temple make the journey to the top quite easier. The ascent is quite tiring around 800 m then the climbing is quite easier as safety rails are provided in the steep areas. Monkeys are found in most of the places here. The panoramic view from the top, near the Nandi statue, is spellbound and truly enchanting. The fresh blow of the wind and the scenic beauty of the villages beneath is quite enticing.

Reaching at the top point feels worthy. It's a difficult trek but quite adventurous. Morning time is the best time to visit this beautiful place. Be careful with the monkeys on the way. Spend hours and you will feel free from all the stress. Once the cloud starts disappearing then return and go back to your place with beautiful memories.

It is a beautiful place near Bangalore. A very good place for trekking experience. The difficulty level is moderate to high. The best time to go is early morning. Trekking path is very steep and slippery. The railing throughout the trek helps a lot. Beware of monkeys 😉 I enjoyed the whole trek and the top view was amazing. I went early in the morning, so it was full of fog and cloudy views. 😍

A beautiful hike uphill with a gorgeous view everytime you look behind. A suggestion, please wear shoes during the climb. You are allowed to do so! You can take off shoes before entering the temple above as well. Many people may ask you to climb without shoes on, which should be taken as optional because it's not an easy climb. Many tourists have spoiled the climb with plastic garbage. Please take care of this beautiful location! Beware of monkeys.

The view from the top makes it worth the trek. Trekking is easy compared to Savandurga and other place as this has man made steps and also railing for safety. Only in few stretch, it feels a bit scary but other than that it's easy. You'll find water and food stalls all over the places. Beware that monkeys dont hesitate to take food/juice bottles away from you if they see any🤭

Amazing trek place near Bangalore, one can visit for the beautiful sunrise or sunset view. The difficulty level is moderate to High. I reached the top spot in 55 minutes. There are multiple stalls available for snacks and drinks. But they charge extra from the printed price, so better to carry your own food and water to stay hydrated during the trek. P.S: Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes for trekking. Also don't remove your shoes outside the main entrance if you are going for the trekking.

Amazing experience. I never had such an amazing trekking experience. It was amazing. Very steep steps and amazing views. The trekking experience becomes amazing the moment you start moving upside the peak. If you're planning to visit, please start your trekking at least by 9am in the morning. You'll have a great experience.

Last year in November, I had the opportunity to visit Shivagange Betta, a beautiful hill known for its breathtaking views and trekking trails. As an avid trekker, I was excited to explore this awesome place. I made sure to start my trek early in the morning to avoid the scorching afternoon sun. The cool breeze and the peaceful surroundings added to the charm of the trek. The trail was well-marked and offered a mix of challenging climbs and serene stretches. After a couple of hours of trekking, I finally reached the top of Shivagange Betta. The view from the summit was simply awe-inspiring. The panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscapes, lush greenery, and distant hills left me speechless. It was a rewarding experience that made all the effort worthwhile. During the trek, I came across several small shops that offered snacks, drinks, and refreshments. It was a relief to have these options along the way to replenish my energy and stay hydrated. However, one thing to be cautious about while visiting Shivagange Betta is the presence of monkeys. They are quite mischievous and can snatch food or belongings if left unattended. It's important to be mindful and keep a close eye on personal belongings. Overall, my visit to Shivagange Betta was a memorable one. The trekking experience, the comforting feeling at the top, and the stunning views made it an unforgettable adventure. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys trekking and wants to immerse themselves in nature's beauty.

Mind blowing place.... It's near to dabuspet, from banglore take bus to Dabuspet and get down. And from there take a sharing auto they charge 30rs per person. Round about 5-7km from there. Upon reaching start trekking the hill. Three main places to visit while trekking. First comes Devi temple and second Gangadereshwara temple were speciality of this temple, applying ghee on lingam it turn to butter. And thirdly olkal theerta, were one needs to put hand in small hole to get water. There is a history behind that. Temple preist will tell about that. And from there the real adventure starts to reach hill top. It's around 5-7km to reach hill top.

On top there is a Shiva temple and Nandi temple is there... And also the top place is called as shantala drop.... Please go in the early morning by 5,5:30 so that you will reach top at the early, as time goes it will get crowded...... In the noon temple provide prasadam as well for all devotees......

A good ancient temple it was and must watchable location in Bengaluru, felt 😉exciting while climbing the hill and an good life time experience. The happiest thing was all food🥲 stuff will be available on top to avoid fatigue. Sivaganga is a sacred hill with a height of 4,559 feet above the level of the sea. Its outline appears from the east as a bull, from the west as a Ganesha, from the north as a serpent, and from the south as a linga 🙏. Hara Hara Mahadev.

What an experience it was. HEAVEN (If you go early morning) . Fogs. View. ♥️ Must do. . Reach the starting point before 6 AM Start climbing up the hill and reach the top in 1.5 hours. Be careful with Monkeys. Keep your bags safe. Don't buy anything in the shops (Expensive & adds to plastic wastes)

Shivagange hill is a place of religious interest. It's a bit crowded on weekends. If you are planning to trek, it's better to visit early morning when the crowd is less. It takes around an hour to hike to the peak. Most of the trail is through steps carved on rocks. There are railings everywhere for safety. There are two temples on the way and and another one at the peak with a beautiful view. Beware of monkeys. They try to snatch the bags looking for food and water. Try not to carry your bags. If you do, don't pack any food items. There are several shops throught the trail which serve water, beverages and snacks.

Medium difficulty trek good for beginners to reach top of mountain. First temple shrine you will get within 10 mins of well marked steps climbing. The trek to top will take 1-2 hours depending on your pace and is very steep in some places. There are several temple complex along the way. Many snacks shop also available on all stages but selling at slightly higher prices.
