My mom transferred to Wauconda Care for ongoing IV antibiotics and therapy. I was extremely impressed with their beautiful facility and therapy dept. The Therapy dept was able to see my mom the day she arrived to establish a plan and provide therapy which was very important to us. The nursing and dietary team was very attentive, kind, and friendly. Activities had a happy hour party for patients when we arrived which looked so fun! Very positive experience!

After only a month, my brother, a new long-term resident, has been welcomed into this community. Wauconda Care has already impressed me with the level of care and abundance of patience of their staff. In addition, the facility is extremely clean and welcoming. There are no unpleasant odors. The residents appear to have their dignity honored. Very happy with this place.

As of recently a family member of mine was hospitalized, and the social workers at the hospital highly recommended this facility. As an RN, I’m very skeptical of placing family members in nursing facilities for rehabilitation and trusting strangers. My family member was located in the 100 wing, which is newly renovated and impressive - even to my high standards (almost unrealistic standards). As a nurse I was only able to visit and check up on my loved one a couple times a week. Every shift I came to visit, surprisingly the same RN named Jennifer L; was always on duty (which I liked to continuity of care).This nurses’ expertise, was so incredibly exceptional; it was honestly impressive. Any type of clinical question I had for my loved one, she was able to answer immediately with incredible accuracy. This RN, in my opinion has the medical expertise to surpass many Nurse Practitioners (Masters level - advanced practice nurse). The way she treated my loved one was so incredibly empathetic, caring and responsive. Truly treated my uncle holistically and made me feel so safe leaving him under her supervision.

We are very pleased with all the specialties involved in the rehab care of our sister Marina. The nurses, nursing assistants, housekeepers, dietary personnel, rehab specialists, social worker and admin staff have been amazing. They are very personable and professional, yet show patience and have compassion for their patients and their families. Marina already is showing more confidence and hopefully will be able to walk with a walker soon. Your facility is very clean and smells fresh all the time. We appreciate all your hard efforts in maintaining such an excellent facility . Diane Michaelides

First I would like to compliment Michael the nurse, Katie RN, Adele exspecielly Ray the cook. These people did a fantastic job and taking care of all my mom's needs one thing I could suggest is to get to know your patient a little bit better there were several times when she asked for something and no one got it for several hours but the overall experience was good

Wauconda care is absolutely the best place to have a loved one taken care of because of their love and dedication for their patients! My grandma is truly loved there and is always happy to call wauconda Care Home!

Staff is very nice, but I visited with a patient on the patio and noticed that several patients with mobility issues, using walkers or wheelchairs, had difficulty using the door to the patio—I interrupted my own visit with a patient several times, to help other patients by opening the door, and holding it open for them. The center really needs to add an automatic or handicap feature to this door.

I appreciate knowing that my mom is being truly taken care of for rehabilitation and after hospital care. The admission staff and care team are very thorough and outgoing. The nurses are all very caring & friendly. Couldn't ask for better!
