Lovely garden area on the 5th floor. The lobby being on the 4th floor instead of the ground floor was confusing for about 5 seconds, but the sign was right there when you walk in. Comfortable beds, shower had good water pressure. And who doesn't love a good revolving door for an entryway?

Amazing views! I booked this last minute, 2hrs before check-in for four nights. I was looking for a hotel close to downtown that would allow my dog and luckily found this hotel. I loved the fact there there was a kitchenette in the king studio. It felt like having an apartment in downtown Chicago. My dog loved the view! This place is dog friendly and very accommodating. Friendly staff as well. Thank you!

The hotel itself was beautiful. Our room was very nice. The parking garage was a bit difficult to navigate but it was a relief to have on suite parking for a premium of $58 per night, so make sure to include that in your pricing. I wish I would've looked up the locations of this hotel though because there was one closer to Michigan Ave. and that would've saved on some walking. The biggest downfall for me was that for the prices of the rooms, I would expect housekeeping to be there daily. We never had housekeeping come during our stay and my husband had to go down to the lobby and ask for towels. After an entire day of walking around Chicago in the 90 degree temps, all you want to do is take a shower and relax. This was a bit difficult to do with no clean towels. The credit card system was down when we went as well and that made check in a little tricky as we had to leave our number on our Credit Card with them. This isn't really want you want to do in hotel. Overall, I'd stay with the hotel again as the price for Chicago isn't terrible, but I would certainly request housekeeping and figure out parking as part of my arrival.

The hotel was as expected, the lack of information from front desk staff left a lot to be desired. It's hard to know exactly what amenities the location offers if the staff do not volunteer this information. As this was our first visit we were unfamiliar with all the options the location had to offer. If you book here, you must absolutely ask for what exactly you can expect in amenities for your stay. We could have had the breakfast which was included if we had known the hours of availability (this was not offered) and the option of free food delivery. Will not stay at this location again, just for the lack of front desk informative check-in information.

Homewood was an excellent choice. Very clean and courteous! Breakfast was very good!

Staff was friendly and helpful but the room wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. Stains and crumbs on the furniture. The parking garage barely worked we literally at one point had to push the emergency button just for the damn thing to open for us to exit! Roof top terrace was beautiful but cushions had cigarette burns and were stained. Cleanliness and convenience rating 2

I'm giving this one 3-4 stars as it's neither exceptional nor notorious. It's tolerable for a two-night stay or less, if location is more important than comfort. As far as service, Homewood Suites is decent. Unfortunately, it lacks the cleanliness (kitchen and chairs were dirty) that I'm accustomed to when staying at other Hilton hotels. One thing I really appreciate at this place is its proximity to a lot of establishments, plus having the option to park and stay is a bonus! For that, it deserves an extra half star.
