Indian grocery store

😠 Beware!!! This store has expired goods on shelf and a lot of things are priced more then other Indian grocery stores. The snacks that are sold by the cash register in front have no expiry dates or ingredient list on them. The old man at the register told me that his wife makes the snacks at home. Ho... People often mention Indian, store, items, snacks, Suchir,

Beware!!! This store has expired goods on shelf and a lot of things are priced more then other Indian grocery stores. The snacks that are sold by the cash register in front have no expiry dates or ingredient list on them. The old man at the register told me that his wife makes the snacks at home. How unprofessional and unsanitary!!! Also I noticed smoke smell in the store as if they were making or frying the snacks in the back of the store without a kitchen! I wonder if health dept. has checked this place yet????

Don’t be fooled positive reviews which I believe are self reviews by owner. Avoid this shop at all cost for below reasons. 1. Overpriced items, check their price with other stores and you will know the difference. 2. Sells expired items like frozen food & etc. 3. Fast food at counter is also stale & expired , 3 of us got food poisoning after eating kachori from the counter.

They have pretty much everything you want. Surely not as big as Patel Brothers, but it’s a small store with the essentials and then some. The staff are nice and help me find items I’m looking for. I often don’t know the names of things or where they’re located and they’re helpful with that. There is a minimum purchase amount to use a credit card — which is $10.

The friendly owner patiently explains the numerous ready to eat freshly cooked delicacies on sale. Tired of cooking and crave a quick bite of India? This is the place. Excellent authentic taste at reasonable prices. Don’t miss - take a few minutes to stop by!

It is conveniently located for me. Somewhat small, but has most of the spice essentials for an Indian kitchen. However, I wish that they would exercise more quality control of the perishable items.

I've been coming here for years. But I believe it either got new owners or has been under new management for the past two years and the store is so much improved! First off, every time I come in the people are so nice! I love Indian food but am not Indian and they have given me some great suggestions of things to try (especially sweets, yum). Tons more products and everything is fresh. The decent sized freezer section has a good selection of various nans, paranthas, kulcha, to desserts like rasmalai, shrikhands, gulabjaman and popular frozen entrees, appetizers, and vegetable items. Refrigerated section has everything from ready-made dishes paneer dishes like paneer makhani, mattar and palak paneer, to packaged ready-to-use paneer, dosa batter, whole coconuts and giant pieces of ginger, pitta breads, yogurt, etc. Tons of staples, fresh spices, mixes, packaged goods, snack foods and sweets including bulk bins with various bujia. Imported teas and other Indian drinks and soft drink favorites, plus a small section of incense, toothpastes, shampoos, toiletries, and cooking pots, etc. Nice little cafe at the back, and frequently have homemade goods at the checkout counter as well.

A good store with wide range of Indian food items. The store has good amount of traffic, and has fresh items on shelves, whichever may be the cause and effect. The prices are reasonable and at Ogen and Cass, the location is convenient. The store owners are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough great things about Big Suchir, the Indian grocery store that has become a gem in our community. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by an incredible variety of food items that cater to all our culinary desires. The selection is beyond impressive, with every spice, ingredient, and product one could ever need for Indian cooking. It’s like a treasure trove for food enthusiasts. But what truly sets Big Suchir apart is not just the products on the shelves, but the people behind the counter. The staff is not only friendly but incredibly helpful. They’re always ready with a smile and ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. They make shopping here a delightful experience, and their knowledge about the products is invaluable. And let’s not forget about the delicious cooked snacks available. Big Suchir’s kitchen offers a mouthwatering array of snacks that taste just like homemade. It’s a lifesaver for those busy days when you crave authentic Indian cuisine but don’t have the time to cook from scratch. If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine, a home cook looking for authentic ingredients, or someone who simply loves good food, Big Suchir is a must-visit. It’s not just a store; it’s a community hub where food lovers come together. Thank you, Big Suchir, for making our culinary adventures so extraordinary!

The gentleman at the cash counter is always very kind and eager to serve, a feature you don't see too often these days. I feel we need to support these small businesses otherwise big businesses like Patel Brothers will drive them out.
