Food. Ambiance. Service. The trifecta of a restaurant. The basic kids spaghetti made the adults want to eat it. Bruschetta had a perfectly toasted piece of bread, spread of cheese, with balsamic glaze atop delicately chopped tomatoes. Refreshing! The mocktail was customized, with pineapple juice, couldn’t get enough. Lobster ravioli with alfredo sauce as a sub, unreal. The salmon was a little dry but the farro exploded with flavor. Wrapped up with an apple bread pudding with silky smooth vanilla gelato and we left very happy. The staff was very kind and accommodating, made everything even better. Definitely can’t wait to go back to this restaurant!

I went to this restaurant for the first time 4 years ago and I throughly enjoyed it. They serve bread there for a complementary dish. I have always loved the calamari and I have gone twice here on my birthday. I would definitely recommend this beautiful Italian restaurant.

Date night Friday for me and wife at Il Poggiolo. Great dining atmosphere with balcony and good energy all around. I had rigatoni with sausage and parmesan and el pollo rosto - both were excellent. The chicken was served with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. The rigatoni couldn’t have been better, gravy with sausage was perfect. We ordered the bread serving, which was solid. Garlic bread was good, maybe slightly over toasted, but still enjoyable. I actually like bread being an appetizer; eliminates a lot of waste and I think restaurants that serve it as a billable appetizer put more effort into it, generally resulting in better quality. Service was timely and friendly, seated immediately at our reservation time. Recommend for a date night or just regular, every day meal.

We ordered the burrata, eggplant parmesan, seafood linguini, and gnocchi. The eggplant was excellent and everything else was pretty good too. Nice local Italian place.

Since moving into town have been here a few times already and gotten take out. The food is delicious and the portions generous. The staff have always been attentive and informed about the dishes. As a local, looking forward to coming back.

Chicken n linguine could have less of lemon taste. Too tart for me. Good cocktails 🍸 👌 and yummy deserts!

We waited at the bar, waited for a table in the garden for 1 hour. Half the garden was free, but no one cared what we were waiting for. Every restaurant has something, this one has nothing. Come in, pay and go... This is not how a person treats guests.

Service was very good. Our server appeared to be working all the tables, both inside and out. It was early, 11:30, and she was moving comfortably between both areas. Food was delicious, and hot. Very important. Try the gnocchi. And the atmosphere,👌. It was an office lunch so we didn't have a lot of time but looking forward to returning for antipasti, wine and dessert!

Food was great, price was reasonable for high quality. One thing we thought was wrong, "bread service" - $10 for this service is just one basket of bread (good bread). The service ends with just bringing it once ..So it shouldnt be called a "service" if it only means a basket of bread. Misleading menu. Our waitress was kind enough to let us know before we got dinged.

-1 star we had to send back a dirty glass with a lipstick stain and a dirty fork that had food crusted on it. Willing to try again though. We enjoyed a nice dinner outside here. The food and drinks were fantastic. The burrata was enjoyable. We had a pizza too, and while I would have preferred a thinner crust, we finished the whole thing.

Never coming back to this place! Food was not only overpriced but tasted horrible. We were told that pasta is “home made” not even close! Sauce was straight from a 1gal container. $18 old fashioned drinks are just mainly ice.. if you can make a drink in 5 secs, its no a drink. Service was also bad, chairs at the bar were very uncomfortable. Temperature also varied from very cold to very hot. Great location, but this place does not deserve to be in Hinsdale. Dont lie about “fresh pasta” if you use sauce from a can. First and last time here. Very disappointed. And truly ruined our evening. Didn’t even finish my wine. Bartenders, need to be more social and not tell lies about the menu. Dont go here if you want good food and enjoy your night.

Great staff. Lobster ravioli was super bland. Bruschetta was very good. Top floor was nice for volume control.

Been awhile since I've been back here, but the food and atmosphere really stood out to me. The place has areas that look like it could be the backdrop of a movie. Nice place to take someone that you really want to impress. The presentation of the food looks really professional on your plate as well. And the staff were always very friendly.

Started with apps of Bread service and Seafood Mixta. Octopus was way undercooked and tough as a result. Ceasar salad was good, enjoyed the flavors of the dressing but a few brown pieces of lettuce. Had Orecchettie which was very good. Super Tuscan at $16 a glass is way over priced.

Excellent food, incredible staff (they even gave us a free dessert since it was our first time there), and unique atmosphere. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had. The octopus appetizer was great.

Always good food and a fun atmosphere. Great wine selection too. Any italian resturant without vermentino on the menu gets one less star from me.

Charming Italian restaurant in heart of downtown Hinsdale. Not particularly large but has nice warm feel to it, as well as a casual outdoor dining area. Food was very good. We tried burrata and meatball appetizers, both were ample and tasty. We then had main dishes. The oven roasted salmon was very good as well as the caramelle. The short rib with garlic mashed potatoes was excellent. To top it off, we had a delicious cheesecake with strawberries and cherry luxordas, and a shot of limoncello. Would definitely recommend.
