Beautiful lake. Nice place to have a picnic, walk around, fish, or just hang out by the water. There is parking on three sides of Maple Lake, the east side is good for picnics, the North side is decent for fishing, and the west side I believe is the boat entrance. Fun fact: Lake House the movie with Keanu Reeves was filmed here.

We came here for a school function. It was big enough that there are separate parts for people to go to. We had an almost private section of the woods. From where we drove past, there is a boat dock and plenty of green grassy area for picnics and BBQs and kids to run around to play. The lake looked perfect for a swim and water activities.

I and puppy come here whenever the weather is excellent, to stroll around the hilltop overlooking Bullfrog Lake and stretch our legs on the long but easy hiking paths around that lake and the Tomahawk Slough area. If you are feeling a bit adventurous you can also hike the hills back to the memorial area for the Chicago Pile 1 nuclear reactor. Makes for a great day in the woods. Pics are from around Tomahawk Slough. Bring snacks - no food or water available.

Had a great time at the picnic shelter at Pulaski Woods East for our child's preschool picnic. Good amount of space for kids to run around, everyone to play yard games like bags and frisbee. Shelter itself is spacious with plenty of tables as well as other shaded seating options like the built-in stone benches along the walls. Decent amount of parking with trails nearby. Only improvement would be restrooms instead of the one portapotty onsite. (Pretty gross any day but extra nasty on a humid, hot August day.)

Beautiful place for trail biking, hiking and walking. I went for a bike race and it was a lovely wait for my partner. Nice atmosphere especially from the locals.
