Loved this place! The rooms are nice, large, clean, and recently updated. The pool is great with plenty of space and seating, plus it is surrounded by 3 bars - bonus! Food and drinks at the bars & restaurants are priced right. They have an awesome beach front stage that plays live music from 3pm to 12am Sun - Thurs. Music goes until 2am on Fri & Sat. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The private beach is small, but beautiful, private and not crowded. They promote and partner with a car service called Free Rides USA where the drivers work for tips - we found this to be super awesome and helpful to get around town quickly and affordable!! 5 stars all the way around!

I wish I can give 100 star rating! My daughter and I stayed at Shepherd’s for a family wedding. Let me just say our entire family had an amazing time and shepherds had absolutely everything to do with it. The food was amazing the rooms were clean and newly remodeled, the drinks were always cold and always delicious! The heated pool was perfect for the cool evenings and the amenities that came along with it were astounding. The private beach was never crowded and always super clean. We will definitely be returning to Shepherd soon!

Spent 4 fabulous days here. Everyone was so polite and welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and housekeeping, I can't say enough how above and beyond she went.. sorry can't remember her name our room was 208 so would appreciate management letting her know she made our stay EXTRA! The ground were kept spotless which says a-lot being on the beach. 5 stars isn't enough.. Thank you all for making our vacation the absolute BEST!

Stayed at this resort for the wedding of my Sorority Sister's eldest daughter! The location was fantastic & the views were incredible! We chose a waterfront room & I'm so glad we did! Aside from facing the outdoor bar/lounge area that had a band nightly until at least midnight & and not additional secure locks on our room door, we had a really great stay!

We had our wedding at Shephard's Beach and I would highly recommend this venue. We looked at a lot of venues in the area and this was by far the best value. They block off a portion of the beach so you don't have to worry about random people in your pictures. The pictures we got were stunning, the food was delicious, all of the staff were very nice and accommodating, but by far our venue coordinator, Leah was the best part. I wish we didn't hire a day of coordinator, Leah took care of absolutely everything and she stepped in to make sure the day ran smoothly. Leah was extremely helpful in the planning ahead of time and she was a huge reason my wedding day went smoothly. Absolutely book this venue!

Came here for beach shoot with friend of mines and we had a good time taking some photos on the beach. The drinks was good the service was friendly. I did order fish tacos and was a bit disappointed but I did ask for the slaw on the side because I don’t like slaw but other than the slaw on it it was pretty much cheese and something else melted on top. Tacos was still good just thought it’ll be a bit more dressed up. Atmosphere was good. They have live music playing at the time but I did want to hear something a bit more up to date or just a bit more hip.

Seems a bit rundown for the price. Our toilet didn't flush, sink clogged and they skipped cleaning our room one day. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. We weren't allowed to bring anything to the pool or beach unless we bought it there (even water). They also charged us to use the chairs at the beach even tho we couldn't bring a cooler. Many of the staff were rude and one even yelled at my friend for leaving a 75 cent tip. All he did was open the can of a $7 beer. He actually said to her and another guest that she was a horrible tipper. We did tip at least 20% for all of our mixed drinks and food. I have to say we had one very good waitress at the pool that loved her job and it showed! Will not stay here again. The entertainment was absolutely amazing and the outside of the hotel was beautiful, especially at night. Will only return for entertainment.

Beautiful, clean resort. Located on the quieter side of town, but still close to restaurants and the main public beach. This resort does have its own beach unlike most others. It would be nice if it had a restaurant that serves dinner but not a big deal. If you’re looking for something quiet, especially at night, this may not be your place as there is live music going on, or at least during the weekends and Friday.

This place is fantastic! Came here on a girls trip and we loved it. The pool was great as well as the white sand beach. We stayed on the top floor and heard the music but it wasn't too bad and it was good music so we didn't care. Will definitely be coming back!

We spent 4 wonderful relaxing days here. From valet to check-in to wait staff and bartenders the staff is so friendly and helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was so tasty and the drinks did not disappoint. The live music was perfect each night. Some other reviews said it was loud. One night we went back to our room before the music ended and once our balcony door was shut we could not hardly hear anything and we were directly across from the stage. Already booked our family trip for next year to go back. We had a Gulf View room and stayed on the 4th floor. As you can see from the pictures it did not disappoint. Waking up to that view every day was wonderful. The private beach was nice except the jet skis do seem to get in the way since its a smaller area. Did not stop us from having fun.

We stayed 3 nights for my daughters sweet 16 and I have to say it was a fun trip, and honestly this is a great family hotel. My daughter brought a few friends and they loved their best life. We never heard the music so I am not sure why people complain about the music, I mean you guys post it everywhere that their is music lol! The only complaint I have which I know you can't control is the jet skis and boats parking in the swimming area very frustrating!! I almost broke my ankle stepping on one of their anchors!!! Overall we would come back again!

LOVED our stay- excellent service, drinks, music! It was kid friendly, there was live music at night but my kids slept through it and we enjoyed from the balcony! BIG thank you to the man that handled the towels, and Toni at the front- our daughter broke her finger while we were there and they were so attentive, kind and helpful! We will be back!

Everything was awesome. I'm just a little confused on our room description. I reserved a queen studio room, but it had to double beds. Other than that the staff was fantastic, drinks and food delivered to you on the beach, live music was wonderful and the view is so relaxing.

We loved the atmosphere at Shepard’s! On a Saturday night we had so much fun. Drinks and bartenders were great. A live band was playing with a Dj filling in between sets. Absolutely would come back here again!

Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was clean. Loved the live entertainment and music choices between acts. We really enjoyed being able to jet ski off the resort and laying on the beach. Nice view from our balcony.

Front desk staff was great. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Location of course was wonderful. Some of the Bar staff were not very friendly (and yes we tipped well). Even when they were not busy. We had a big group and spent a lot at the bar, so was surprised. Loved that they had servers come to the beach to take good and drink orders! Bands were great (although a little heavy for my taste one night). Wish they had more dining options, but there are several places nearby that worked. Only issue (other than the bar staff) - they don’t allow outside drinks (like water bottles), coolers or your own chairs on the beach - but they don’t seem to police it consistently - we got nabbed for water bottles a few times, yet saw many others with them. Oh well. Had a great time regardless.

We had an amazing weekend at Shephard's Beach Resort celebrating my daughter's wedding. From the time we arrived at the resort on Wednesday until we departed on Monday the staff was phenomenal. Toni was the best!! She made us feel very welcomed and was quick to ask if we needed anything throughout our stay. The resort has good food and drinks reasonably priced. The party live was fun but only if you are good with loud music...we loved it. As for the wedding reception, Leah delivered for us. The food was really good and the staff that worked the wedding were friendly and attentive to our needs. It was a wonderful way to celebrate with family and friends.

We just spent about a week here. It was great! I would like to especially recognize Tara. She greeted us at the front desk. She is so friendly and helpful. It was just a great way to start our vacation. Tara dealt with us so pleasantly, answering all our questions and providing complete information! Her kindness went beyond check in. Every time we saw her, she greeted us by name. (Very nice… who can remember people’s names like that!!??) Everyone else was friendly too. I saw grumpy vacationers too. It was heartwarming to see the staff deal with everyone in such a positive and pleasant manner, even when I’m sure it was very hard to do at times. The rooms were excellent. The food was really good too. ( ummm, loaded fries anyone?? Yes!) We had a great time! Thank you!!

The service was great. Front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. The valet staff were very helpful. The rooms were very clean. My only issue with the rooms is that there are no towel bars near the sink to hang hand towels on. The shower gels are in a share all container, and it's not that great. For the price of the room, I thought we'd get a high-end shampoo and shower gel. The hand soap was amazing. Finally, our refrigerator didn't work, so we lost some leftovers and had to send our bottled water to the neighboring room. If you like all-night entertainment, this is the spot for you. I was ready for the loud live music to end at 10 pm on Monday, but it went on until midnight. I could hear it loud and clear from my bed. The staff at the Tiki were very attentive and extremely nice. The drinks were good and the kids liked the food. I would recommend this resort. It's in walking distance to shops, ice cream, and restaurants.

The best ! My family had a perfect room. Our balcony overlooked the pool & ocean and was directly in front of the stage where they have live music every single night. We didn’t need to leave the resort for anything. It was a perfectly relaxing 3 days. Can wait to come back

Drinks are on point....good not so much. Food was pretty sub par for the prices and in comparison to rest of the food options around. Loved the atmosphere on the back patio with the live band. Figure out what you have going on in your kitchen and with the service folks, and you'll be at 5 stars in a heartbeat...if you really want to be!

Upon arrival we were welcomed by the AMAZING Toni, she gave us the perfect start to our vacation with her infectious personality! She checked us in immediately even though we were a few hrs early. The valet boys were attentive and quickly gathered our things and took them to our room. Service at the Tiki Beach bar was impressive. Melissa and a younger pregnant girl were our servers most of our trip and she made sure we had a great time. We had a bit of car trouble when we wanted to venture out for the day and Austin in the valets customer service is beyond words. He raced around trying to find us a new battery for our key fob and was successful in his efforts. We visited the ocean flame breakfast twice during our stay and it could use a few more options to choose from. Food was not consistent, we both ordered the same meal and both tasted different. We didn't utilize the pool but the hot tub was nice and hot. Beach was beautiful and clean and we found some pretty amazing shells. Every person working at this resort that we encountered always greeted us with a smile and offered assistance in some way. The live music is an added bonus and created a whole vibe while being here. I recommend having some cash on hand to tip the bands and valet boys. We loved it so much we booked our next trip upon checkout. I read so many reviews about the noise you hear until midnight or later, and we couldn't hear a thing. We stayed in the gulf tower and had no issues getting to sleep.

Had a great time. Music was fantastic. A mix of oldies and modern. Good band. The Wait Staff was accommodating, attentive and very patient. As we had a very large party. Would definitely have a good time.

In general the resort was very nice. I love live music, but be aware that a live band did play till 12 am on a Thursday night in the courtyard area which faces the rooms which made it a bit difficult to sleep. On a weekend. It would have been much more appreciated since we could watch the band from our balcony. The beach area was very nice and relaxing.

Simple and sweet. The resort is clean. The food out at the pool is good, and the bartenders and servers, along with the front desk representatives are friendly. For the price that you have to pay, it’s a little silly that you don’t get your room cleaned or at the very least get the garbage emptied. You have to call to have your garbage emptied or to get more towels delivered to your room. When it’s 90+ degrees outside and you spend money on drinks at the bars, you can’t empty the contents of the drink into a Yeti cup or other insulated drink cup. They prohibit these and seek out anybody that has them. I guess they want you to down your drink in 5 minutes before it gets warm. But - they don’t make this rule for everyone. Some are told to put their yetis away back in the room, while others are overlooked. Their fitness center is probably the most outdated thing at the resort - No dumbbells, and treadmills that sound like they are about to break. When you pay a decent amount of money to stay, you should at least be able to enjoy drinks that don’t melt within 5 minutes, and not have to worry about calling for new towels or having the garbage emptied. The beach is very small but nice. Whatever you do, don’t forget to turn your towels back in or you will be charged!

We are really enjoying our stay. We are here now and would come back again. Pool is large and warm. Great private beach. Food at the bars was delicious. Gabrielle was our waitress one day and she was awesome. She was literally running to get peoples orders to them quickly. I was able to do laundry t Here. The dryer did take my money one day and the front desk refunded me right away. The music is very loud at night. It's not something that bothered us since we enjoy hearing the music on vacation but I do see how it would be too much for some. However, it does clearly say on the website that music is loud and goes on until late. Four stars instead of five because the pool closes at 9:00. Seems a little early for a party hotel. I also didn't enjoy being made to do valet everyday. We would have to stand and wait for our car every time we wanted to leave. Sometimes this would be when guests are coming and unloading and it was somewhat annoying. Lastly, having to request towels every morning became cumbersome. We asked for a few days worth at once and they would not give them to us. They would only give us the amount of family members at a time. None of this things would deter us from coming back. We know hotels have rules for a reason.

We had a wonderful experience at the Shephard's beach resort . Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Just an honest review! We stayed at the resort for 6 days and rented two rooms here. We flew in from Colorado to celebrate our early wedding anniversary and spend the 4th of July here. At the beginning it was a little hard learning that they only clean your room every 3 days. I spoke with Austin ( i believe he might be a manager) he was amazing and super accommodating! I also spoke with Javier from house keeping and he was also very helpful and accommodating. I was able to get my room serviced the 6 days I was here and that was a big weight off my shoulders since we are here with our baby. I loved the resort, the location and the staff that work here are great! We would completely love to come back!!

Only big complaint is lack of housekeeping. Requested "full service" cleaning 3 days in a row to only be given another pile of towels. Outside amenities are clean, and staff is great. Good location. Yeah it's loud with the band till 12, but it's not unbearable. Kid friendly till the sun goes down. Would stay again. Just expect my room to be completely cleaned every day paying resort prices.

Despite the fact you need to request for new towels, towel and trash removal in advance/before 10 a.m. that day, the service and hotel were amazing. I also disliked that the floors got soaked while taking a shower because there’s no door to keep the water in other than using a towel on the ledge that ends up getting soaked. Staff was friendly, drinks and food were plentiful, and the live music was a great feature. Great party atmosphere most of the day!
