I did not have a great experience. This was my second time getting a cut there. On this most recent visit there was another older client who was aimlessly walking around and caused my stylist to burn my scalp. Mt stylist was apologetic but it could have been avoided if the salon had taken some safety measures. My stylist kept asking if I was alright and tried to make it okay. I tried to not make it a big deal, she told me twice it wasn’t red (my scalp) but when I got home I took a picture and it was red. It hurt for a more than half the day and was uncomfortable to sleep on. Before I left the manager/owner/lead told me they would talk to the client or stylist who interfered with my service (causing my burn) but it was disappointing to hear her remark that the older client might have a mental health condition. I don’t think that’s an excuse to not enforce basic rules. The salon comped my blow dry, which is fine but didn’t make up for the incident. I would have been happy to pay for all of my services. I would have appreciated them handling the situation better. In conclusion I don’t think they know that darker (black) hair can get hotter than light colored hair. I’m just so disappointed and felt like they dismissed the problem.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a good hairdresser who understands natural curly hair. Rebecca exceeded my expectations. She cut my hair giving it more style and fix some color mess. I will definitely be back. Every one is very nice and positive!!

When you hear that Salon 131 is an upscale salon that is affordable, it’s the absolute truth! The salon is stylish and always neat and clean. Many products and services are displayed. Staff is always busy, friendly and professional. Most of the time when I write a review it’s a warning or valid complaint. I don’t always give credit where credit is due, however. My stylist Diane has been there the 3 years I’ve been going there and is very talented. She listens to what you are looking for…and then does a beautiful job. Last week they celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They had a festive party and prizes. I won a massage! They also have loyalty perks. You won’t be dissatisfied if you check them out!

What a great experience with Nicole! She was super patient with my daughter, and gave the exact haircut she asked for! The other staff was pleasant and complimentary, it made my girl feel like the diva she is! Nicole also cuts and colors my hair and she’s amazing! I won’t go anywhere else! The owner Mandi is super friendly and appreciative of our business. Marcy gives the best facials as well! I just keep coming back and sending more people!

For the last 2+ years, I have been a consistent client here at Salon 131. Diane is my stylist. I appreciate her experience and knowledge of color, current trending styles, and expertise in creating my look. Beside that she is a warm, cheerful person and makes your experience here a pleasure. Marcy is the salon aesthetician. Her experience shows (literally), on my overall skin appearance. I've enjoyed the benefits of her facials. The latest was a hydro facial. Today was a facial and neck waxing. She is a real pleasure to be with. I give them as an overall salon for the professional yet personable concerns for a great service. Thanks Lynn for being so accommodating as a top notch receptionist.

Been absolutely pleased with Salon131 every time we’ve used them. They do a wonderful job with my boy’s cuts, including my husband’s and when my husband took my daughter for a major “big girl” cut, it looked fantastic on her!! Love that they’re close and we will continue to use them for our family.

She was very personable and I definitely will be coming back. Scheduling was very easy; I used the website. And, the staff is very proactive on communicating with you.

I went here 6 years ago when I first got highlights, loved the women but forgot her name. She wasn’t there anymore when I came back. I went about a couple weeks ago to get highlights for the second time in my life. I got it done with Kali. When she finished I thought it looked decent but you can’t really tell highlights with wet hair. Once it dried, I realized she only did half of my head on the top. It look bad. She even parted my hair how I usually part it when she was doing my highlights. So, I don’t understand how she missed the top. I went the next day to get them fixed, the owner/manager was really nice about it. Overall, I’m just disappointed with my second experience. As shown in the photos, the left one is half the head, and the right is full (fixed). I’m mixed feelings.

My daughter who is starting chemo this week went to Mandy to get a short hairstyle so there would not be a drastic change if/when it falls out. Aside from giving her an incredible hairstyle, she also helped her in other ways and refused to take any payment. This was my daughter's first visit to this salon. This world desperately needs more people like Mandy, she's an angel! Thank you for looking out for my girl.

Iv been going to this salon for maybe a year now, and it’s awesome! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, not mention the salon is super cute and clean. Tamra is absolutely amazing! Iv solely gone to her, she is the sweetest and always does an amazing job! However all the stylists there are always so kind as well. 10/10- i recommend her and the salon to everyone!

Lynne cancelled my appointment 3 times in 3 days. No respect for my time and no apology. The stylists are very nice and talented but scheduling fails.

Excellent anti-aging facial by Kayla. I didn't realize the anti-aging facial was going to be all organic products. She hand made everything herself using organic, natural herbs and products. It was VERY relaxing. Highly recommend her facials. I WILL be back!

Great staff and was very pleased with Shawn who cut my hair. Very friendly and clean Salon! I have had a few different stylists and all great!

I came in with long, layered hair that had been dyed dark brown. My natural blonde roots were coming in and I wanted my hairdresser, Kali, to match the rest of my hair to the roots. She said we would be able to get it all done in that visit. She did two rounds of color correction, a clarifying bleach bath and a hair mask in over 3 hours. No color, no toner. She made comments about wanting to leave by a certain time so I believe she tried to rush on my hair. I also told her I wanted to have my dead ends trimmed, and for her to cut off as little hair as possible. She then proceeded to cut 4 inches off my hair. I now have slightly lighter, brown-orange hair that is four inches shorter. I tried to explain to her that I didn't like it and she said "well, next time you come in we'll put a dye on it!" I called back and told the lead hair stylist the situation and she told me I cannot be refunded and kept making excuses for why it happened the way it did. I am very upset that I lost all that length and paid $170 for my hair to be an orangey color and much shorter. I want to write off salons at this point.

Both my daughter and i have been going here for years to do facial care with marcy and she has never failed us. Shes been willing to do the most to help with my skincare and takes her reccomendations into consideration. Shes also willing to talk about anything and is just a great experince both personally and cosmetically.

I wanted to leave a review for Lisa since she doesn’t have any yet that I can see. She did an amazing job with my haircut and the salon overall is great. Great atmosphere and quality for the price!
